Implement the Apex Cursor in a proper way to handle large datasets.

Do you find it difficult to manage large datasets and SOQL governor limits in Salesforce? In this video, I will dive deep into Apex Cursors, the powerful new feature that revolutionizes how we process millions of records.

Apex Cursors allow developers to navigate through query results in manageable chunks within a single transaction or across Queueable jobs.

In this video, I will show you the correct way to implement an Apex Cursor, and I will also explain how to handle exceptions and perform a retry when necessary.

[Distributed Transactions in Salesforce <> Saga Pattern]

Hey guys, how’s it going?

I’ve been diving into microservices these past few weeks and exploring how to apply them within a Salesforce Org.

Although we don’t have direct access to the database, we can still manage how objects relate to one another and how loosely coupled applications are.

I’m curious to know if any of you have tried implementing the SAGA pattern to orchestrate distributed transactions in Salesforce, and how that approach worked out for you.

I’m considering building an Orchestrator in Salesforce to manage distributed transactions using Platform Events. This could help decouple different domains within Salesforce and mitigate the "UNABLE_TO_LOCK_ROW" issue, even in well-optimized Salesforce Orgs.

Thanks, guys!

Thanks for sharing @Dora Babu Kotthru

Have you already reviewed the guide here for LDV (Large Data Volumes); https://resources.docs.salesforce.com/latest/latest/en-us/sfdc/pdf/salesforce_large_data_volumes_bp.pdf?

If you are after more personalised support/guidance then I'd suggest posting this as your own question on the Trailblazer Community

On Wednesday, Salesforce Architects of Jacksonville Florida had a great meeting at The Link in Nocatee.

Mahesh Somineni presented to a hybrid group about Salesforce Identity Flows.

It was a great session of theory mixed with practical Postman demos.

Watch the full YouTube video below. Check the resources Mahesh graciously shared in the video description.

Thanks to The Link, for providing the meeting space.

I will be there as soon as I can, taking my car for an oil change, so depending on how long they take, I might be a little bit late.  Looking forward to this talk!
