Hi, 

I have 8 years of experience as a data analyst and good with excel and analysing data. I have recently completed by salesforce Business Analyst and Adminstrator certification. I would like to volunteering for a non profit organisation where i can contribute towards optimizing your salesforce org as well as improving redundant processes. I also have a brief experience in working for a SA based Non profit firm.

Hi everyone! 👋

My name is Bautista, and I’m new to the Salesforce ecosystem.

I recently took the Salesforce career path quiz and got Business Analytics, which really aligns with what I want to build professionally. My goal is to guide my career toward becoming a Salesforce Business Analyst, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making, process optimization, and creating value for the business.

I’m currently starting my learning journey with Trailhead and would love any advice, recommended trails, certifications, or real-world tips from those already working as Salesforce Business Analysts.

Practice exam for business analyst cert.

Hi everyone, 

 

I’m preparing for the Business Analysis cert. and wanted to see if anyone had any practice exam recommendations (free or paid), I’ve already completed the official trial salesforce put out but as we all know just doing the trials does not guarantee a passing score. 

 

And when I did my admin cert. I really enjoyed the prep from practice exams from salesforceben & focusonforce. If anyone has any source for practice exams I would really appreciate it!

    Hi, 

     

    I’m also preparing for the Business Analyst cert and totally agree  the official Salesforce practice test is a good start but definitely not enough to ensure a passing score.

    From my experience, Focus on Force is one of the best platforms for practice exams. Their question sets are detailed, scenario-based, and help you identify weak areas before the actual exam. SalesforceBen’s content is also helpful, especially for quick concept reviews.

    In addition, I’d recommend checking Quizlet for community-made flashcards  there are several decks created by certified Business Analysts. You can also explore Reddit and Trailblazer Community threads where people share links to free mock tests and topic-wise quizzes.

    Lastly, try to revisit real-world Salesforce use cases like requirements gathering, user story mapping, and process flow documentation — they come up quite often in the exam.

    Hi @Clare Carmody

     

    I'm not formally in training anymore, but something I loved exploring Learning Theories when I was a trainer, also known as Learning Style Models / Methodology.  

     

    Part of the reason I love exploring learning theories, is that as a trainer it helped me to structure my training content, and be intentional about my sequencing, which are key to creating engaging training sessions / content for learners.  

     

    By the way - I'm NOT referring to VAK (Visual, Auditory, Kinaesthetic')!  

     

    Although VAK is commonly referred to as a learning style (just ask google!), it is really explaining learning modalities, which is a fancy way of saying different ways that a trainer transimits or a learner receives information. e.g. diagram, table, activity, etc.

     

    One really useful resource I refer to periodically, is a site that I disovered when I was working as a TAFE instructor, delivering Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

    Ths site is choc-full of links to many different Learning and Teaching Styles - you can filter from the perspective of a learner of a teacher.

    • Be sure to check out Kolb and Malcolm Knowles. 
    • Worth bookmarking this site for future reference.  NB: it has hundreds of references! 
    • Don't be put off by the name of the site 'Aussie Educator' - these resources are global.
    • If you really want to delve into theory, check out this version of the site, Education Theories, which covers major theorists and their theories.
    • If anyone is interested in my curated list (aka personal favourites) let me know and I'll post them.
