#Release Updates Announcements

Salesforce is scheduled to enforce the Restrict User Access to Run Flows in Winter '25.

When this release update is enabled, the FlowSites org perm is disabled and a user's ability to run a flow is restricted unless the correct profile or permission set to run the flow is granted.

We strongly recommend that our admins enable Restrict User Access to Run Flows release update in their sandbox or developer org  and test that all users who currently run flows can still perform all operations that each flow performs.

After you enable Restrict User Access to Run Flows release update, all users must be granted access to run a flow:

  • If a flow isn't available to a user or a flow fails, identify the missing permissions and add them to your user's profile.
  • Add the Manage Flow or the Run Flows permission to a profile or permission set. Or, for more granular control, restrict specific flow access to an available profile.

More details are available in Salesforce Help Limit User Access to Execute Flows and the Restrict User Access to Run Flows release note. Please comment below and our Product and Engineering team @Henry Liu and @Aaron Liu will address your questions.

Hi everyone, I've recently encountered a problem related to Community/Portal users: they are no longer able to execute Field Service Mobile Flows linked as Work Step Actions from the desktop interface (using the "complete" action of a work step).

How can I fix this? All profile has the Run Flow permission but this doesn't work in this case. I tried also to set direct access to the flow to the community user but this doesn't works too.

@Michel Valladares , @Henry Liu, @Aaron Liu is there a solution to this?

The Transform element, a cornerstone of Flow Builder, has undergone notable refinements since its last iteration. One of the most compelling additions is the ability to seamlessly transform collections of data between flow resources. This enhancement unlocks a myriad of possibilities, allowing users to manipulate data with unprecedented flexibility and precision.

In this blog post and video, I am going to show you how you can aggregate data from a source collection to calculate the sum or count of items in that collection and assign the result to a target data field. You can also enter a fixed value for a target data field.

It seems like this can, essentially, replace rollup summaries - the example starts with a record-triggered flow on a detail object, and updates a field with an aggregate value on a related record. But what about other types of aggregates?

For example, say I wanted to perform the same aggregate, but from a screen flow on my account. I would use a get records to get opportunities where Account.ID = $Record, and Stage = Closed Won. Then I would pass the resultant record collection into my Transform element, and I would want to total the Amount field of the Opportunities in my collection, then reference that value later in my flow (either to update a field in the Account record as in your example, or just reference within a Screen to show component A vs. B, etc.)

Is it not capable of this? Because I couldn't get it to work this way - the ability to define an Aggregate didn't even show up as an option in my Screen Flow, where my recordId = an Account, and my source record collection = Opportunities.

In this video, I will be sharing an improved Flow Action Button. After Winter 25 release, Flow Action Button is getting lots of new features, which I will be covering in this video. The use case that I will be implementing today is to call an auto-launched flow from Action Button to fetch all contacts under the selected account and display them in the datatable format.

In this blog post and youtube video, I will be sharing improved Flow Repeater Component. After Winter 25 release, if you have the collection of data available, then this repeater component can work on pre-populating the inside screen component with collection data automatically.

This Flow Repeater Component will provide 4 outputs to deal with different scenarios. They are –

📌 All Items – This collection will contain all the pre-populated items and also the newly added items.

📌 Added Items – This collection will only contain newly added items.

📌 Prepopulated Items – This collection will only contain prepopulated items.

    Hi everyone!

I created few days ago a developer org to test this new search field feature but I cannot find either parameters in the address component. In release notes is specified that the new feature is available in developer orgs. Is there another step I am missing?

    Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards,

    Antonis
