New question/research .... I'm trying to find any formal Salesforce documentation or webinar links that describe best practices or what to consider when creating or cloning of sandboxes ... specifically during business hours ... it was my belief that doing so can create latency issues during peak business hours and what issues to consider when doing so ... can someone help, please? Best!

I created a new "Idea" today, since I get annoyed that I have to script deployments differently in staging sandboxes vs prod: Sandbox option for "Deploy processes and flows as active"

I created a new

Hi All,

I am trying to set up SSO on a newly refreshed Sandbox which had already had SSO enabled (as does our Prod instance). I refreshed the Sandbox, re-enabled SAML, and configured/confirmed my settings/endpoints to all contain the sandbox URL (which for display purposes, is https://mycompany--testsbname.sandbox.my.salesforce.com). The sandbox URL looks correct in the following places:

  • Identity Provider (Issuer/SAML Metadata Discovery Endpoints)
  • Single Sign Setting pages (the three endpoints towards the bottom)

All other settings (i.e. federated ID, HTTP Redirect, etc. all look correct)

But when I try to log in via SSO to the Sandbox, I can get to my company's Idp (OneLogin) page successful, which let's me log in normally (my company's MFA protocol kick in successfully, etc.) but then I get a Salesforce Single Sign in error: "We can't log you in because of an issue with single sign-on. Contact your Salesforce admin for help".

  • When I try the Login History the message is: SAML Sfdc Initiated SSO (Type)  Failed: Recipient Mismatched (Status)
  • When I run SAML Assertation Validator on that Single Sign on config, I get the following message (not that the error message is for my production instance, not my Sandbox, which is what I can't seem to find/fix:

"Incorrect SAML assertion recipient: https://mycompany.my.salesforce.com   We expect one of the Login URLs or OAuth 2.0 Token Endpoints listed on your Single Sign-On Settings page. Warning: Salesforce custom domains and My Domain subdomains must be in lowercase."

All the other flags come up green. The error message above seems to be finding my Prod instance URL somewhere, but I can't figure out where I am not looking. Anyone else ever get this error message, or have any ideas on how to tackle this situation?

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! #Security #Salesforce Developer #Salesforce Identity #SAML Single Sign On #AwesomeAdmins #SSO

    Please check the below points

    1. Please make sure all the URLs are correct in the single sign-on setting. It should be sandbox URLs.

    2. Also please take crt file from the identity provider and upload it again in a single sign-on setting in the issuer.

When I refresh our sandboxes (dev, test & stage) will I have to totally recreate the connected apps, update the Callback URL or the Entity ID for SSO?

Enhanced Domains are enabled in the sandboxes and will be Production before the sandboxes are refreshed.

Thanks in advance.

@Gwenn Ferguson After refreshing a sandbox in Salesforce, the following steps will be necessary to re-establish the connected apps:

    1. Re-create the connected apps: You'll need to recreate all the connected apps that were present
    2. Update the Callback URL: If you have connected apps that use OAuth authentication, you'll need to update the callback URL for each app.
    3. Update the Entity ID for SSO: If you're using Single Sign-On (SSO) with your connected apps, you'll need to update the Entity ID for each app. This ID should be unique to each connected app and should also be updated after the sandbox refresh.

Note: Enhanced domains are not related to the connected apps. Refreshing the sandboxes should not impact the enhanced domains, as they will already be enabled in the sandboxes and will remain so after the refresh.

It's always a good idea to test the connected apps thoroughly after the sandbox refresh to ensure that they are working as expected and that all the necessary updates have been made.

I'm testing out enhanced domains so I've created a partial copy of our production org that contains ALL objects. I noticed in a logged email record attached to a contact that the attachments (images) are gone. There should be (2) attachments highlighted in green from when I compare to my production org.

Do enhanced domains break files and attachments?

I also noticed when I go to File, there are no files. I have plenty of files 'Owned By Me' in my production org:

1. Does enhanced domains break and lose attachments and files?

2. Or is this just partial sandboxes don't carry over these things?

Please help! thanks!

Morning all!  We currently have developer sandboxes on preview instance servers, but I seem to recall that only partial copy sandboxes get to be preview sandboxes - is this the case, or will our dev boxes on preview instances become preview boxes?

Hi,  I am wondering if the most recent update to our SF Sandboxes might have changed the login landing page and if so how do I fix it?  I've tried to go through the release information but don't always understand it. Thank you.
