An administrator at Cloud Kicks needs to export a file of closed won opportunities from the last 90 days. The file should include the Opportunity Name, ID, Close Date, and Amount. How should the administrator export this file?

A. Data Import Wizard

B. Data Export Wizard

C. Data Loader

D. Data Export Service

Which is the correct option and why?

C, becouse it needs to export only a specific columns.

Data export is a copy of all data for the object.

So - I have a general question about flow versions.  When/should you delete older versions of a flow? (once you have validated that there are no issues, etc).

I have heard stories of hundreds of versions and that makes my head hurt...specifically I have a couple of custom fields older flow versions were referencing that we no longer need, work arounds fields.  And I want to delete them, but I have to delete a LOT of older versions of the flow before I can do that, which lead me to ask the question.

I get having versions and I am much better now than I was in using sandboxes for testing, etc but in general at what point are older versions of a flow just clutter?  As long as I have documented what I have done, I have a trail....so just wondering your thoughts/best practices on this....

OMG - I keep one previous version - that's about it. If version 12 is working, and then I make a change and publish V13, I'll keep 12, but that's it.   If V12 is working, and I need to make V13, 14, 15, 16 to get a change working correctly, I'll go ahead and leave the last working version (V12) but delete the ones that didn't work (13, 14, 15.) I've never stressed about this - I have a reliable backup if needed, and the new one with recent changes.  🤷🏻‍♀️

So, I create a custom object called Form Submissions which currently has a lookup relationship with the Lead object. This relationship occurs automatically through the integration I created between Gravity Forms and Salesforce.

However, I'm struggling to figure out how to carry the relationship forward to Account and Contact objects when the Lead is converted. I'd like end-users to be able to see related Form Submissions when they view a Contact or an Account.

This is what the Form Submission object page looks like right now. I want those 2 lookup fields to populate automatically when the lead converts. I'm thinking maybe a Flow, but I'm not sure about the logic?

Any suggestions or best practices to achieve this?

Thanks in advance!

How can I automatically have an Object which is related to a Lead, create a lookup relationship with Account and Contact after Lead conversion?

    Hi,

You would need a record triggered flow on Leads that triggers on conversion.

Add an Update record element to update the Form Submission record where Lead__c equals $Record.Id. You can now update the Accoutn and Contact lookups with

    $Record.ConvertedAccountId and $Record.ConvertedContactId

best practise for re-work on role hierarchy needed!

Hello all,

the Salesforce org that I inherited needs some re-work on the role  hierarchies, as the company reorganised a bit in the past.

As I do not yet now every bit and piece of configuration of the system and the automations etc. - where do I need to have a look on before re-arranging role hierarchies?

Thanks for hints on this!

Concerning inactive users: is it best practise to create a kind of 'dead role' for them? I want to get the inactive users out of the list of 'Managers in the Role Hierarchy'....

Thanks again!

    Hi @MAADHINI NARAYANAKUMAR,

Thank you for reaching out to the community.

No, It's not possible for User object. For any other objects --->

    Change a Standard Salesforce field

From Setup, enter Tab Names and Labels in the Quick Find box, then select Rename Tabs and Labels. In Select Language , select your default language. Click Edit next to the object containing the field label you want to change.

I hope this will helps you to resolve the issue.

New question/research .... I'm trying to find any formal Salesforce documentation or webinar links that describe best practices or what to consider when creating or cloning of sandboxes ... specifically during business hours ... it was my belief that doing so can create latency issues during peak business hours and what issues to consider when doing so ... can someone help, please? Best!
