Question on Dark Mode, is this optional or will it eventually be forced? Works great for some users but I literally can't see anything in dark mode. I have to have light mode to see.

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding Duplicate Rules design in Salesforce.

In a current implementation, we are evaluating whether to configure Duplicate Rules to effectively consider all records in the database, bypassing record-level security (sharing rules), in order to detect duplicates globally (across all Accounts/Contacts and companies).

The idea would be to run duplicate detection across the full database (not limited by user visibility)

My question is:

Is this considered a best practice in Salesforce architecture?

Specifically:

  •  Are Duplicate Rules expected to always respect sharing rules and user visibility?
  •  Or is there any recommended pattern where global duplicate detection (system-level) is acceptable while still maintaining security in downstream processes?

@Lena Wong In my opinion yes, its a best practice. The reason is the data or information is hidden from user. The article also explains how to merge in this scneario.

Hi everyone,

I wanted to report a layout issue with Dynamic Forms.

When configuring a section with a 2-column layout

, the field positions completely distort if a user increases the browser zoom. The fields lose their alignment and shift out of place.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Do you know if there is a Salesforce fix for this, or is the only current workaround switching back to a 1-column layout?.

This distortion occurs because high browser zoom triggers Salesforce's responsive layout grid to stack columns unevenly. To fix this without losing your layout, check the Align fields horizontally box in the Field Section properties, or move fields with large text into a separate 1-column section.
