Hi all,

As some of you know, it is not possible to sync emails between Salesforce and Outlook if Einstein Activity Capture is not activated, I mean this is a possibility. Activating EAC implies additional costs for more than 100 users and you data is not stored in Salesforce anymore but in AWS.

I've heard about Revenue Grid and someone added the alternative Cirrus Insight.

What is your experience as user either of Revenue Grid or Cirrus Insight? Would you recommend it?.

@Cirrus Insight and Revenue Grid Sales reps, please do not use my thread to write "please contact me", I would appreciate.

My customer would like to send invitations to their event attendees and them to receive notifications when they are invited.

Looking forward to knowing what your experience was.

Hi all,

I got dizzy trying to understand many sources regarding the use of "least active" and "most available" with Omnichannel.

I don't want the explanation of each of them. I just would like to know which are best practices in the real work world, which one to use in which situation or use cases (please no copy paste from the theory ;))? when is "least active" and "most available" in the real world used? or which one is the most used in the real world?.

Hi all,

I have some questions about Digital Engagement WhatsApp.

Unfortunately I could not find any information about Digital Engagement WhatsApp but so called "Business WhatsApp", so I am confused as I worked on a project where the integration of WhatsApp with Salesforce was part of it.

As Salesforce has been changing in years, does anybody know which is the most current version or what is the name of the most current version of Digital Engagement WhatsApp and especially, which are the current limitations by using it?.

This SELF_REFERENCE_FROM_TRIGGER error involving Rollup Helper began appearing this week when I merge contacts. It happens when I am merging using DemandTools, but it happened once when merging using the NPSP contact merge, so I figure DemandTools is not itself involved in causing the error.

Here is the cascade of four error messages that appeared all together when merging two contacts using the NPSP contact merge:

Error: Rollup Helper cannot update parent record 003i0000026I80YAAS: SELF_REFERENCE_FROM_TRIGGER:

Object 003i0000026I80YAAS is currently in a merge operation, therefore a trigger can not update it.

Error: A validation rule is preventing the record from saving:

Rollup Helper cannot update parent record 003i0000026I80YAAS

Error: Merge failed. First exception on row 0 with id 003i0000026I80YAAS;

first error: DELETE_FAILED, A validation rule is preventing the record from saving:

Rollup Helper cannot update parent record 003i0000026I80YAAS: []

Error: Failed to merge the contacts. Error: System.DmlException: Merge failed.

First exception on row 0 with id 003i0000026I80YAAS;

first error: DELETE_FAILED, A validation rule is preventing the record from saving: Rollup Helper cannot update parent record 003i0000026I80YAAS: []

We are using the latest version of NPSP and Rollup Helper (v13.2 12/07/2018).

Does anyone have any advice or ideas?

    Hi Guys,

if you received following error : Rollup Helper cannot update parent record 003i0000026I80YAAS: SELF_REFERENCE_FROM_TRIGGER:

Object 003i0000026I80YAAS is currently in a merge operation, therefore a trigger can not update it.

Try following steps :  Enable force async on Account by navigating to the Enable Real Time Rollups tab and enabling the Force Asynchronous checkbox for the object. This will break up the processing and allow RH to update in its own execution context. Then you will be able to merge Accounts.

Hi all,

I am pretty new in the backlog administration.

Suppose we have the following scenario:

There are Sales and Service teams in the company you are working and each has requirements around Salesforce.

Which are best practices in the backlog administration?:

  1. Create a different backlog for each team? (a backlog for the Sales team and a backlog for the Service team) OR
  2. Create only one backlog and create user stories and put them in one common backlog for both teams?

The another question I have is, how do you distribute user stories?. I mean, do you distribute them by EPIC? can someone add an example?.

I would appreciate your comments.

Hi all,

I created a custom link and added it to the Account page layout, saved it. When I go to an Account record I can not see the created custom link :(.

This is the custom link I created:

Unable to see Custom Link in a detail page on records

Does anybody know if I am missing something?. Does the visibility have to do with the use of Dynamic Form?. Although I don't see any Custom Link component to add to the Account Record Page.

For companies who conduct joint mailings with affiliated companies who use a different database and set their own schemas with different metadata standards and account numbers/record IDs, do you have any suggestions for deduplicating the data beyond the usual hands-on approach dumping both datasets into Excel and using Excel to sort, identify exact duplicates, and then visually reviewing the data for duplicates?

    @Mahogany Lore, MLIS

I would suggest thinking through this scenario slightly differently.

In order to identify shared contacts, you would need to store enough information to know with confidence when you have shared contacts.  So instead of "we cannot store" this may need to be "end users cannot see partner contacts" but you can identify which internal contacts are also shared contacts

I do not know if you have quantified metrics for your decisions.  If you have a full copy sandbox, you may want to upload the partner contacts for data analysis and policiy specification purposes in your sandbox.  Then, profile your data to identify which field values for your email, phone, ... tend to show up most frequently.  This would give you a sense of potential duplicates within and across each source, as well as if you have any bad values (e.g. na@na.com)

Hi all,

I am wondering if WhatsApp can be used in digital payment companies and if so, in which cases?.

I can imagine that digital payment companies (e.g. PayPal, Amazon, etc.) can not make use of WhatsApp for helping customers when they have some questions using WhatsApp as this would require customers to send them (Customer Service) sensitive data.

I had the experience of implementing WhatsApp for customer service outside of the business hours but in the retail sector. In digital payment companies they have to be more compliant with certain rules (e.g. GDPR).

Does anyone have such experience or can say if WhatsApp is being used by some digital payment companies even if working with sensitive data?

Whatsapp can be integrated with Salesforce for several usecases like below:

    1) To check the account balance using interactive Whatsapp messaging.

    2) Checking the last 10 transactions made from the account.

    3) Checking the status of any scheduled transaction

    4) Making an appointment with the agent.

    5) Requesting for any new service details (like steps for opening a new Demat account)

Most of these do not include any PIIs. Besides, all the usual usecases of Whatsapp as a marketing tool, like doing promotions and spearding awareness about any offer or event are also possible using Whatsapp.

Hi all,

I know I created a thread related to the topic where one of the responses was the use of Data Cloud.

I could not find out if you as user can integrate every kind of data with Data Cloud. I have read some blogs and books talking about Data Cloud, but it seems to be you can only integrate Contacts or Accounts to create a profile in the Data Cloud system. Am I wrong? Can Data Cloud integrate e.g. financial data or other data which is not related to contacts or account into Salesforce?.

What about Datorama? is that also another tool that can be used not only for the integration but for harmonization of data?.

Guys, I know this is not a very active community, but I would appreciate if experts could share their knowledge to this community.

    Hello @Lena Wong,

Data Cloud can integrate various types of data, not just Contacts or Accounts. It allows you to harmonize financial data, marketing data, and more, making it versatile for broader use cases. You can connect different data sources to create a unified view of your data.

Datorama, on the other hand, is focused on marketing data integration and analytics. It helps in harmonizing data from multiple marketing platforms, providing insights and visualizations. Both tools can be valuable for data integration and harmonization, depending on your specific needs. Data Cloud is broader, while Datorama is specialized for marketing data.

Hi all,

I have not worked on integrations yet. I came across with a client, who is using different systems, from where data is going into Salesforce, even data coming from their partners. Which are best practices or how can be the data be harmonized in Salesforce?

Hello @Lena Wong it will depend on the kind of data you retrieve : either just consistency to handle especially when relating records coming from those systems (no duplication of data among the systems or different handled objects, but you will have a hard work to relate those objects because you cannot even use external id because the sources are different), or deduplication and master data management handling / source of truth definition, to know what to do when the same records are updated in different systems. In all cases, you would better spend some time on your mappings, and on your deduplication/harmonization process. You can leverage in standard matching/duplication rules, and scheduled flows / apex jobs to handle some data processing.

But you could certainly have a look at Data Cloud to handle data harmonization that will allow you to retrieve data from other sources in your salesforce platform, harmonize them, and trigger actions if needed.

    Eric
