Hey Folks,

We are having all of the organizations we work with currently and in the future fill out a partner agreement form. The fields in the form will update the organzation's Account record. I have created the form in the Native Forms App and I am looking to use an "action" to send the form to our partners. When I try creating the action, it says that conditions are required. Does anyone know if there is a standard condition that I need to set up? Do I need for all of my questions/fields be answered? Do I need to create a trigger first for the Account Object? Do I need to create a workflow? I am at a loss. Any help would be great

    Hi @Taylor Houston

    , Hope this helps -

In Native Forms, when you're setting up an action to send a form, the system typically requires a condition to determine when or to whom the form should be sent. Here’s how you can approach it:

    1. Condition Requirement: Yes, you’ll need at least one condition set. It doesn’t have to be super complex — something like Account: Record Type equals Partner or Account: Status equals Active can work. This just helps Native Forms know which records to apply the action to.
    2. Do All Fields Need to Be Answered?

Not necessarily — unless you’ve marked fields as

required in your form. The action itself doesn’t depend on whether all fields are filled, just that the condition for triggering the action is met.
    3. Do I Need to Create a Trigger on the Account Object?

Not unless you're trying to automate something after the form is submitted (e.g., triggering a flow or updating another object). For just sending the form via action, you shouldn’t need a custom trigger.

    4. Do I Need a Workflow?

Again, only if you want to perform something like a follow-up email, task creation, or status change after the form is submitted. It’s optional depending on your process.

We have a pardot form with the field "description" which is a free text field for long messages. Once the form is filled out a e-mail notification is send to the assigned user.

Problem: In the Mail, the field "description" not only shows the newly put in text, but also all past texts that a user typed on in the past when he filled out the form. If a user fills out the form like 5 times over months/years, the notification gets extremly confusing. The assigned sales person has a hard time figuring out which message is actually the current one.

So how do i only show the new message in the field "description" and not including all past ones?

It looks like you want to ask a question about Pardot. "#Marketing Cloud" is primarily a place for questions about "Marketing Cloud Engagement", so mention "@* MC Account Engagement (fka Pardot) *" to get answers from Pardot specialists.

I'm working on putting together some boilerplate Salesforce BA templates.

The typical BA Generalist (non Salesforce) has many forms to choose from... business case, requirements, stakeholder analysis, RFI, project vision document, test case, use case, user stories, gap analysis, etc.

Does anyone have a set of Salesforce Business Analyst forms and/or templates available for use?  Or know where there might be a download for templates that I can use as a starting point?

Any help is appreciated... thanks!!

TDTM_Lead is actually an Apex trigger.  But you are correct, there are no out-of-the-box TDTM handlers for the Lead object.  The TDTM_Config_API class is not a TDTM handler itself, it's more of a dispatcher to the specific TDTM handlers.

It sure feels like an object permissions error, even though you say you've set all the correct permissions.  You should not need to set permissions on the Apex triggers / classes since those are running in system context already.

Anyone out there know of a solution for external facing forms to create new objects associated with designated contacts?

When I first started my org was using Form Assembly but it was unreliable and required entering the 22 digit Contact ID that our volunteers had a lot of trouble with. Currently we're using Smartsheet to collect data on how folks are engaging in our services but the data never gets associated back to the contact in Salesforce.

I am working to set up our first interactive email. While the process seems a bit daunting at first I am trying to create an intake form for our customers to supply me with the details necessary to build out the email. Have any of you done this with your customers? If so, can you share any resources?

Need a forms solution for simple external questionnaire on the opportunity. Would like to have answers populate opp fields automatically. We are currently using Google forms and manually uploading. Communities is probably overkill for this. Need to supply a link for those external to the org. Thoughts?

    Hi Marian,

You could potentially use Salesforce Surveys for this, or a self service community that uses a flow (this would not incur community licenses). There are also 3rd party Form applications on the appexchange that are great for something like this, such as Form Assembly or Form Stack

    Thanks,

    Mikey
