and we love to connect with fellow Trailblazers in person.

If you’re planning to attend (or still deciding), I’d definitely recommend it. True North Dreamin’ is Canada’s premier community-led Salesforce conference, bringing together Trailblazers for two days of sessions, networking, and idea sharing.  And Toronto is a great city to experience it in.

More info / registration:

My colleague Rajesh Unadkat (Founder & CEO, SurveyVista) will also be speaking on

May 12 at 1:30 PM on “How to Build Automated Customer Journeys That Scale”

— sharing how Salesforce-native teams turn customer signals into real-time automated actions.

If you’re around during the event, feel free to come say hello — would be great to connect with fellow Trailblazers in person.

Hope to see some of you in Toronto!

#6: “We want improved usability of admin functions”

One of the best things about SFDC is the customization. That's why it's extraordinarily frustrating when some things can't be customized. For example, the "primary" label name for quotes/opportunities can't be renamed to even primary quote so my users better understand the purpose (easy example). More important is that we completely customized our quote amount fields and moved that field to the system section of opportunities because we couldn't customize forecasting to meet our need, couldn't customize, rename or modify the quote amount on the quote. I can't customize the data views for 'recently viewed' on the opportunity page, for example. And because we don't use those fields it confuses our users. More flexibility is needed! Thank you.

#1: "We want API and storage limits to go away”

Data storage limits impact my organization in the following ways:

    1. We export data out of Salesforce on an annual basis in order to remain under our limit.

    2. By exporting data out of Salesforce, the value of the tool begins to diminish because we cannot maintain all data in one system.

    3. Reluctant to expand Salesforce use to other areas in the company because we know the data storage limits would be exceeded too quickly and the cost to purchase additional storage is too high.

    4. Of particular pain is data storage of tasks. Trying to encourage adoption of the tool by having users record their activities causes us to quickly eat up data storage space. Again, this leads us to have to remove some tasks on a regular basis in order to remain under our storage limits.

We're doing an analysis across multiple customer input channels (IdeaExchange, Voice of the Customer Survey, Top Cases etc) of the top issues that you encounter. We have uncovered 6 main issues that were consistent across all those channels and now we'd like you to weigh in and give your feedback. I'll be posting each issue in a post and would like you to provide your feedback on how this issue directly impacts your business. We will be feeding your input directly back into our Product Organization so here's your chance to let your voice be heard! Bulleted list of feedback is ideal.

Being able to build a report of sharing rules, account team, opportunity team, and profile permissions would be very useful. I am often to provide such reports to management to ensure our sharing and global access is correct. We also have to provide it to auditors since we are a public company. These reports will eventually need to be monitored more frequently as we become a bigger company.
