Phillyforce Call for Speakers is Open!

We are full steam ahead in planning Phillyforce presents MidAtlantic Dreamin’.

We are working to turn this one day event into a full-blown Dreamin’ event (hopefully in 2021). Last year, we introduced a second track, which allowed us to have more focused content. We are doing it again this year, and the call for speakers is open. We would

love for you to submit to present! http://www.midatlanticdreamin.com/

I made it happen the first time by finding my own lodging. I posted to Facebook that I was looking for a place to stay and ended up staying on a friend-of-a-friend's floor in the Mission District. I should thank that guy for helping put my career on this track!

*Important Update about Groups in the Hub*

What is happening:

As the Hub is continually evolving, we are evolving with it to suit the needs of the community as best we can. As a response to your feedback, we've decided to un-archive 4 groups:

  1. @Nonprofit Success Pack
  2. @Education Data Architecture
  3. @System Administrators
  4. @Ireland and United Kingdom

These are not new groups. These are existing groups that had been archived and the contents from which were remapped to Topics in April during the launch of #Hub 2.0. If you had been a member of these groups before April, you will remain as members. If you left the group, you will need to join it again.

Why we are doing this:

In our transition to Lightning back in April, our vision was to use topics primarily to organize content in the community and to facilitate conversation. We archived groups and remapped that content to related topics. However, there are certain limitations to topics and topic functionality (like a daily emailed digest), and given your feedback, we feel like bringing back some groups would benefit community engagement.

Overall, topics are not a replacement for groups, but rather will be here to supplement groups, help curate your feed to be relevant to you, and surface content on topic landing pages.

What's next?

To make sure you feel engaged in the Hub we are actively working on developing a custom Topic weekly digest feature based on your feedback. We expect to deliver this to you in the next month or so, but a specific release date has not yet been determined.

What about topics?

For now, topic landing pages will remain as-is. Topics are still a valuable part of Hub 2.0, as a way to organize content and personalize your feed. They will continue to serve as a place for you to find articles, conversations, discussions and content.

Thanks for your flexibility and continued #Hub Feedback! Let us know what questions you have :)

Hi Hub Ohana!

We're 6 months out from #Dreamforce 2019 , and already starting to lay the groundwork for what is sure to be another incredible and impactful event for you and your team.

And pssssstt...we wanted to let you guys in on a bit of a secret: we're going to be launching our call for proposals this summer. Since we know that you might have some killer summer vacation planned during that time, we wanted to give you the heads up now so you can huddle up with your team early and develop your session idea.

The best way to be the first to know when we open the call for proposals is to fill out THIS FORMYou can also let us know what topics you're itching to hear more about at this year's Dreamforce.

Looking for a way to meet the folks you talk to on a daily basis here in the Hub? How about working shoulder to shoulder with some of the greatest minds Salesforce.org and our Community have to offer? Have you been inspired by an idea for a common problem posted here in the Hub, and want to work on a solution?

Look no further than our next Open Source Community Sprint! We're landing in Detroit, Michigan this July from the 10th - 12th, and would LOVE for you to join us!

All Salesforce and NGO or EDU product users are welcome! And no...you DON'T have to be a developer to contribute.

Read the FAQ, register today (it's free!), and look forward to spending time IRL (in real life) with your Hub Community members and SFDO staff. Need further reason to join us? Check out our latest installment of #SFDOSprintQuote!'s on Twitter!

See you then!
