#Open Source Commons2 discussing

Is this the right place to ask about accessing some of the wonderful outputs of these Sprints?

I was really interested in hearing about this a while back:

ANZ Payment Solution Framework:

Focused on creating a decision tree to identify which companies/products could be used to solve local and general use cases. Payments, Receipting and Integrations is top of mind for a lot of people; customers want guidance about where to start, they want simplicity. The team designed a working Flow to help local NGO’s understand what local providers would be a good fit for their unique needs, resources, and skill-sets. And, check out their incredible video to promote their work!

Next Steps: Publish the flow externally so NGO’s can start using it!

——

This framework would be incredibly useful. Did it ever get released?

Wanted to share a great use case from @Jodie Miners leveraging both Salesforce Indicators & DLRS (Declarative Lookup Rollup Summaries / "Delores") as both have come up in recent Charlotte community group meetings. Jodie just published a video on YouTube with an example of Adding Product Icons to the Opportunity and Account in your Salesforce Org and shows both custom icons and SLDS icons!

One of the great things about both of these Apps is that they are built by & supported by the community (both the builders & power users!) in their own Community Groups here & here.

Why not tag someone in the comments to spread the word about this use case walkthrough for these awesome apps? Happy Monday

Excellent working session with members of Sprinty’s Community Resources team today! Three things I loved - 1) We have a live working site. Check it out and submit your resources https://sprintyscommunityresources.my.site.com/s/ 2) Folks on the call were from all over the US, Canada, and the UK! 3) I definitely plan to check out two of the submissions we reviewed today (links below)!

Hello, NPSP Videographers! Now that the Hub is migrated, we wanted to say 'Hello!' and make sure you found our new home in the Trailblazer Community! We're still here, publishing videos to our YouTube Channel, working with all you amazing volunteers on scripts, tracking our work in our new-ish github home, and helping over 200,000 video viewers learn how to use Salesforce's free nonprofit products!

If you don't remember what we do and how you can help, please feel free to check out our quick intro slide deck or give us a shout! If you are looking for a mid-December project, we currently have some scripts that need peer review or--if you are feeling adventurous--documentation that needs new scripts written. We'll be back in January with more How-To Videos!  Enjoy your winter breaks and new year celebrations, and thank you for your support! #NPSP Videography #Volunteer Opportunities #Open Source Commons

I'm very excited to announce that the talented Junette Tan will teach an Introductory Snowfakery class on July 9 at 9 Pacific/noon Eastern.

Snowfakery was designed to help organizations generate extremely customizable fake data that has relations between tables. Every row is faked data, but also unique and random, like a snowflake.

Register today and learn from Community member Junette Tan as she gives an overview of the tool, and walks through the process to create a YAML recipe file. As a member of the Data Generation Toolkit team, Junette has been collaborating on Snowfakery recipes and training new enthusiasts. Her passion is helping nonprofit organizations - as a volunteer, a donor, a fundraiser, and a Salesforce architect.

Everyone is welcome to attend and no prior experience is needed. If you have any questions, please email sfdo-opensource@salesforce.com.

The event is hosted by the Salesforce.org Open Source Commons, in partnership with the Salesforce.org Release Engineering team.

Details are on the Registration Page.
