From Struggling With Concepts to Building a Real App in Salesforce

I just completed the Object Relationships Superbadge on Salesforce Trailhead, which served as my first ever completed Superbadge on Trailhead Academy, and the journey was anything but easy.

At first, I struggled to understand the concepts behind the tasks. The instructions felt abstract, and I kept asking myself:

“Why do I need this relationship between objects?”

“How does visibility logic actually solve a business problem?”

“What does Salesforce want me to achieve with this?”

After failing a few challenge checks, I changed my approach:

 ✅ I broke down each requirement into plain business language.

 ✅ I mapped out the data model on paper before touching Salesforce.

 ✅ I focused on the “why” before the “how.”

That shift made things click. Here’s what I ended up building:

 - Used Dynamic Forms so fields like Capacity & Security only show when the Account Type = Concert Venue, and Security Percent only appears if Security Provided = True.

 - Designed custom object relationships (many-to-many between Songs, Artists, and Tours) to track music, albums, and guest performers.

 - Connected Campaigns (Tours) to Venues (Accounts) to reflect real-world relationships.

 - Built a full World Tour Manager Lightning App with console navigation to bring everything together — from venues and songs to reports and contacts.

💡 Biggest lesson: Sometimes the hardest part is not the clicks — it’s truly understanding the problem. Once I nailed the “why,” the “how” became much easier.

Excited to add this to my Salesforce journey and grateful for the problem-solving skills this badge pushed me to grow. The Learning Continues!!!!

Hi Salesforce community users,

I have been working on completion for my admin superset and going through business Admin specialist badge, i have encountered an error stating for dashbord and reports challenge mentioned below:

"The dashboard configuration that allows users to see only their own data is incorrect."

I have tried all possible things to find and get it resolved but having no idea to fix this.

Kindly help and provide your suggestions if anyone can help here.
