Has anyone been able to set a new default value for the Service Delivery.Attendance Status component as it appears in the Service Session object's "Track Attendance" lightning component? I can't seem to figure out what controls the default values that appear int his component.

I was able to do this, but it's unintuitive, so I created a video walkthrough:

    https://www.loom.com/share/6540e2cae9e442408a9099d531cc3eb4?sid=f4b662a0-742c-4304-b00e-279d613627dd

    My recommendation is the following:

    1. Relabel the 'Present' picklist choice to "None" (keep the API Name of 'Present' the same)
    2. Create a Validation Rule to ensure that "None" cannot be selected (this is because you need to keep that picklist option active, but you don't want it selected because it will mess up attendence calculations) (also not this is not covered in the video)
    3. Create a new picklist option called "Attended"
    4. Create a new value under the 'Bucketed Values' in the Custom Metadata types for 'Attended', and change the "Bucket" to "Present"

Here is the source of the documentation for this feature, but note that it doesn't cover this use case:  https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sfdo.cm_config_svc_del_sum_data.htm&type=5

Hello,

I have users who are using the bulk service deliveries component and they are entering the quantity but it is not being updated on the actual service delivery record that is recorded.  Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? I am NOT using NPC.

    Hi @Zach Seehusen-Besky

Thanks for your answer here - sorry for the lag.  Important steps for any troubleshooting here so thank you and I did cover some of these steps. I missed an important detail which it is only happening when using bulk service deliveries for a group.

I forgot to check PROCESS BUILDER! for automations and there is one there that is potentially the culprit.

The coordinator that manages our prenatal workshops program would like to be able to see the name, phone, and relationship of the support person for the pregnant participant all in one place. My thoughts were to have this information live as fields on the program engagement or in a report. The issue that I am running into is whether I create fields specifically that collect this data when creating the program engagement or find a way I can pull this data from existing fields since in most cases, the support person usually lives in the same household. That being said there would be cases where the support person may not be in the same household so I am not sure how or whether I can bring this information over. Does anyone have advice as to how to go about it or guide me in the right direction? Also if anyone has any suggestions on consultants or have advice on setting up PMM let me know!   #Nonprofit #ProgramManagement #PMM #Nonprofit Success Pack #Salesforce Admin

Sounds like you might have a few options?

    1. A formula field you create to pull those data points over (depending on your lookups and if not having it 'stored' and just showing on the UI will work), or
    2. A rec-trig Flow for create/update that will physically write (and store) those values in non-formula fields, or
    3. Maybe a custom button on the dynamic lightning rec page (if you're using those) to show those particular fields from Contact.

This is how I've usually done this (but I'm not in PMM specifically).

I would like to link a Program or Services or Service Deliveries - or all of the above to a Grant Provider. The purpose is for reporting back to the Grant Provider. eg if Big Bertha Foundation provides a grant to the nonprofit to pay for 12 months of the Food Program, then I want to report back to BBF on the results of the program.

Has anyone already done this?

Hi,

I have recently installed PMM. I have set Program Management Contact Page to the PMM App. However, when the Contact page displays in the PMM App it looks similar to the NPSP Contact Page. The PMM App Contact page looks slightly different, but has the same components as the NPSP Contact page (donation information etc). But, it does not include any of the PMM Contact page components (services provided etc.) It looks like this:

PMM Contact Page is not configured or displaying correctly

PMM 1b.png

Trying to trouble shoot this issue, I went into Settings/Object Manager/Contact/Page Layouts and viewed the "Program Management" page layout for Contacts. When viewing the backend screen and when generating a preview the Program Management page does appear to have the components particular to the PMM App (program engagements, service deliveries etc), and does not have any of the NPSP components (donation rollups etc). So, everything here seems to be okay.

It looks like this:

PMM 2.pngHowever, when I go to Settings/Object Manager/Contact/Lightning Record Pages and open the "Program Management Contact Record" Lightning Contact Page for PMM, it looks and contains the same components as the incorrect PMM Contact Page.

It looks like this:

PMM 3a.png

PMM 3b.png

So, the PMM Contact Page Layout and the PMM Lightning Record Pages are configured with different components and layout.

As far as I understand, it appears that I can only assign a Lightning Record Page layout to an App.

Because I need a User to work with both donors and clients, I need the User to see the NPSP Contact Layout when in the NPSP App, and then I need them to see the PMM Contact Layout (Program Management) when they are in the PMM App. It would be redundant to give each user 2 different Salesforce logins depending on what App they are using.

Please give me your thoughts on how to resolve this.

Kind regards,

Josh

You assign lightning pages to an app. Lightning pages can have zero to many page layouts. If you are using page layouts ensure you have the correct page layout on your lightning page

Hey there!

I recently got my hands on the NPC and I'm a bit confused about the program management. I noticed it's different from what I'm used to seeing in the program management module. Am I looking in the wrong spot or is there something I'm missing?

I'm used to seeing services, service delivery, program engagement, and other objects in the PMM, but I can't seem to find them in the NPC. Do I need to download the PMM to access these features or are they available in the NPC as well?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey @Sâmia Morse, so basically you don't need to download PMM since the same standards are already built-in in NPC, only terms has been changed, here I will match between what old terms and new terms.

    • PMM > NPC
      • Program > Program
      • Program Engagement > Program Enrollment
      • Service > Benefit & Benefit Type (They added another object Benefit Type, where Benefit has lookup relationship to Benefit Type)
      • Service Delivery > Benefit Assignment & Benefit Disbursement (They added another object Benefit Disbursement, where Benefit Disbursement has lookup relationship to Benefit Assignment)
      • Service Schedule > Benefit Schedule & Benefit Assignment Schedule
      • Service Session > Benefit Session

So, you can keep the same idea from PMM to NPC, but only change the terms that you use.

Hope you find it helpful, let me know if you need further clarification about PMM in NPC.

FYI for anyone else who wants to import the sample data from the PMM module release:

    1. Install VS Code
    2. Install Salesforce extensions (expanded) in VS Code
    3. Install CCI
    4. Log into your org and ensure that your user profile has access to all Account record types
    5. Run the commands in VS Code terminal as follows

cci org connect <YOUR ORG NICKNAME>

cci org default <YOUR ORG NICKNAME>

    cci task run load_dataset

Does anyone know why is it possible to create a New Program Engagement from Bulk Service Deliveries without selecting a stage, even though the stage field is required in the field set?

I have a few users running into an issue where newly created Program Engagements are not showing up in the BSD list as an option to select, and it's usually because they did not select an active stage (Enrolled) now that I’ve turned on the BSDT Active Filter.

I've set up a report to alert when records > 0 for program engagements missing a stage, but I'd like to just make it required to force users to do it upon creation!

Also, sometimes when I test creating a new Program Engagement without a stage (which shouldn't be possible), it sometimes saves without a stage and other times automatically sets the stage to Enrolled.

Is this a bug? Any suggestions?

Stage not required for new program engagement?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I confirmed it's the correct field set by adding and removing a test field to this layout.

Hi all,

I am curious other SI partners experience creating contact RT for donors & program clients in order to make reporting more efficient and data seperate between Development team and Programs team.

Right now, I only have page layouts to distinguish between the two types of contacts but curious about others experience if using RT is a good or bad idea.

with lightning record pages (not page layouts) and dynamic forms you can show/hide information based on criteria.

So for the donors I only expose all the donation fields if total gifts > 0.

For the other sections I only show them when a particular value is selected in a different field.

Is it possible to reorder the Services dropdown list on the Bulk Service Deliveries page to a custom order instead of the default alphabetical order? I have a request from a user that the services that most frequently need to be selected are unfortunately at the bottom of the alpha list, and would love to customize the order.  #Salesforce Admin #PMM #Nonprofit Success Pack
