Salesforce Nonprofit How-To Video Feedback Survey

At this week's virtual sprint, the How-To video team created a survey requesting feedback on what videos you would like us to create.

We’ve created videos for the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and are now expanding to other Open Source Commons Projects (like DLRS), and UnofficialSF Components.

We’d love your input on what topics and scenarios you’d like us to cover in future videos so we can create content that is most useful for you and your organization. It will only take you 5 minutes to complete!

We’re two months away from the FIRST EVER Salesforce Community Sprint in CANADA!

We want to make sure folks across the broader Salesforce community in the area know about this event! It’s our first-ever Canadian Sprint and want to spread the message far and wide throughout Canada so everyone's aware!

AUDIENCE: Everyone is welcome: admins, architects, developers, marketers, and more. We want to make it clear that you don’t have to work at a nonprofit to participate.

The Vancouver Community Sprint

brings together customers, partners, and employee volunteers to co-create tools and resources that make Salesforce even more powerful and accessible for Nonprofit organizations and schools around the world. It’s also a fantastic opportunity to connect with others in the ecosystem, grow your skills, and learn directly from Salesforce experts.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Registration is open NOW — don’t miss your chance to grab a spot before we enable a waitlist.
  • This is a hands-on event. Whether you're an end user, admin, developer, architect, or just passionate about doing good with Salesforce, there’s a project team for you to join and contribute.
  • Not an Admin or Developer? Don’t worry! You can contribute through UX testing, project management, documentation, and more — it’s not just about building apps!

We can’t wait to gather in Vancouver for what promises to be an energizing, community-powered event.

Learn more and register now:

https://invite.salesforce.com/vancouvercommunitysprint

This event is being organised and run by the Salesforce Nonprofit Community Team, but again you do NOT need to work at a Nonprofit to participate, we welcome all folks with Salesforce experience (Admins, Devs, Architects, etc).

It’s 2025 and that means we’re celebrating 10 years of Sprints as a community! 🥳💙🦖

As Director of the Salesforce Commons program and a participant or host at almost every event in the past 10 years, I've had the honour of witnessing the incredible success they've had on the Salesforce Nonprofit and Education Trailblazer community firsthand.

What started as a way for the Salesforce community to contribute to the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) has grown into a global movement, bringing together over 3,700 participants at 59 events to create freely accessible solutions for nonprofits and educational institutions.

This article is a heartfelt 💙 thank you 💙 to everyone who has contributed their time, energy, and skills over the past decade. I reached out to all of the original planners of the first Sprints in 2015, and am excited to share the memories and reflections I received.

Community Sprints are more than just technology; they're about creating connections, sharing ideas, and making a real difference. Read the full article to learn more about our journey, how to get involved at events this year, and see the incredible impact we've achieved together.

I'd love to hear your Sprint stories and "ah-ha" moments in the comments below! This is the first in a series of articles celebrating this milestone, so stay tuned for more! It’s 2025 and that means we’re celebrating 10 years of Sprints as a community! 🥳💙🦖 As Director of the Salesforce Commons program and a participant or host at almost every event in the past 10 years

Is this the right place to ask about accessing some of the wonderful outputs of these Sprints?

I was really interested in hearing about this a while back:

ANZ Payment Solution Framework:

Focused on creating a decision tree to identify which companies/products could be used to solve local and general use cases. Payments, Receipting and Integrations is top of mind for a lot of people; customers want guidance about where to start, they want simplicity. The team designed a working Flow to help local NGO’s understand what local providers would be a good fit for their unique needs, resources, and skill-sets. And, check out their incredible video to promote their work!

Next Steps: Publish the flow externally so NGO’s can start using it!

——

This framework would be incredibly useful. Did it ever get released?

Registration for our next Commons #SFDOSprint in Sydney, AU is NOW OPEN!

On 29 February & 1 March, 2024 as part of Salesforce Tour Sydney, join us for two days full of networking, fun, and building Salesforce solutions to help Nonprofits and Schools address common challenges. We had a blast at the first Sydney Sprint event in November, and we’re excited to be coming back to host you again.

“If you get the opportunity to Sprint, just do it!” - Feedback from November Sydney, AU Sprint

What’s a Community Sprint? Sprints are Salesforce-hosted community innovation events (similar to a hack-a-thon) that are regularly hosted to bring partners, customers, and employee volunteers together to identify, prioritise and build solutions that make using Salesforce more impactful for nonprofit & education organisations.

Why should you join? Sprints are unlike anything else in the Salesforce community. You are encouraged to use your skills to collaborate and build nonprofit + education solutions while learning from Salesforce experts in this space — 90% of participants report an increase in skills. Not to mention they are a super fun way to connect with other Salesforce users, admins, and developers.

→ Contribute your skills to create solutions for the nonprofit and education sectors.

→ Connect with local Salesforce professionals doing the same work you are.

→ Find existing Open Source Commons volunteer-built solutions you can use today.

→ Learn new skills as you participate.

→ Enjoy a fun, free, unique hands-on experience - think workshop, not a webinar.

Reserve your spot at the Sprint today!

A free ticket to World Tour Sydney (happening Wednesday, February 28th) is not required to register for the Sprint, but we encourage you to attend both.
