It’s 2025 and that means we’re celebrating 10 years of Sprints as a community! 🥳💙🦖 

 

As Director of the Salesforce Commons program and a participant or host at almost every event in the past 10 years, I've had the honour of witnessing the incredible success they've had on the Salesforce Nonprofit and Education Trailblazer community firsthand.

 

What started as a way for the Salesforce community to contribute to the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) has grown into a global movement, bringing together over 3,700 participants at 59 events to create freely accessible solutions for nonprofits and educational institutions. 

 

This article is a heartfelt 💙 thank you 💙 to everyone who has contributed their time, energy, and skills over the past decade. I reached out to all of the original planners of the first Sprints in 2015, and am excited to share the memories and reflections I received.

Is this the right place to ask about accessing some of the wonderful outputs of these Sprints?

I was really interested in hearing about this a while back:

ANZ Payment Solution Framework:

Focused on creating a decision tree to identify which companies/products could be used to solve local and general use cases. Payments, Receipting and Integrations is top of mind for a lot of people; customers want guidance about where to start, they want simplicity. The team designed a working Flow to help local NGO’s understand what local providers would be a good fit for their unique needs, resources, and skill-sets. And, check out their incredible video to promote their work!

Next Steps: Publish the flow externally so NGO’s can start using it!

We'll keep the side panel of this group (and our Github website) updated as we confirm upcoming events. Typically we do that when we have a confirmed venue booked for the event. Stay tuned and tell your friends!  

 

Upcoming Community Sprint Events - Join in the fun today!

  • February 27th, 2025 - Sydney, AU as part of Sydney World Tour. Location: Salesforce Tower Sydney. Register!
  • March 5th - 6th, 2025 - Community Engagement at TDX! Join the Nonprofit Community team onsite and around SFO during TDX. More details to come, and registration for TDX can be found here.
  • March 17th & 18th, 2025 - Community Sprint as part of DC Agentforce World Tour. Location: Salesforce McLean Office in McLean, VA. Register today!

  • June 19th, 2025 - Community Day, Paris, FR. New and looking for local Partner sponsors! Location: Salesforce Paris office.

Virtual Community Innovation: Wrapping up the first virtual sprint of the year!

WOW, what a MASSIVE start to 2024! We were thrilled to gather our Nonprofit and Education community virtually for two days of brainstorming, creating impactful solutions, and fun networking to build community solutions for common challenges affecting Nonprofits and Schools.

 

120+ attendees from 15 countries came together virtually, bringing their skills and passion to the table. From Japan to Australia, to India, the global dedication to this event was truly remarkable! Thank you to all who stayed up late, woke up early, and spent time away from your day job and family to spend time sharing your skills.

    @Prachit Kanwar if you look in the group sidebar of this sprint you can see the list of upcoming events, both planned and some that are on the horizon but not confirmed yet.

     

    You can see "Global Virtual Sprint (Time zone TBD), September 11th & 12th, 2024" but dates may be subject to change, so no reg yet but keep an eye out for more! :)

Registration for our next Commons #SFDOSprint in Sydney, AU is NOW OPEN!

 

On 29 February & 1 March, 2024 as part of Salesforce Tour Sydney, join us for two days full of networking, fun, and building Salesforce solutions to help Nonprofits and Schools address common challenges. We had a blast at the first Sydney Sprint event in November, and we’re excited to be coming back to host you again.

🥳 I’m thrilled to share that @Lizzy Roberts has joined the Commons Community Team today, taking on the role of Senior Community Program Manager! Welcome to the team, Lizzy! 🤩

 

If you don’t yet know Lizzy you’ll want to join her weekly Community @Coffee Chat STAT and introduce yourself. For those that do, you know that Lizzy is an experienced Community Manager who’s been with Salesforce for over 6 years, leading the Nonprofit & Education .Org Community as part of the larger Trailblazer Community platform (and previously the Power of Us Hub), and an all-around incredible customer success advocate. Since joining .org in September 2017, Lizzy has led numerous global community programs NGO/EDU, and has deeply supported the Commons off the side of her desk for years ❤️. She's also is a long-time pal of Sprinty 🦖!

“I can’t believe how much I’ve gotten out of today. Not just the project, but it’s been brilliant - the synergies, asking questions to people at my table, the support I’ve received. I’ve learned more in the last 2 hours than I have in the last 5 weeks” - Community Sprint Participant

 

Wow...this past Friday, June 30th we hosted our second London #SFDOSprint in 2023 and the feeling in the room was incredible! Almost 100 devoted Salesforce Admins, Developers, and Consultants came together and dedicated their day to building innovative solutions to make using Salesforce more impactful for the broader Nonprofit and Education Community.
