#Community Sprints2 discussing

Is this the right place to ask about accessing some of the wonderful outputs of these Sprints?

I was really interested in hearing about this a while back:

ANZ Payment Solution Framework:

Focused on creating a decision tree to identify which companies/products could be used to solve local and general use cases. Payments, Receipting and Integrations is top of mind for a lot of people; customers want guidance about where to start, they want simplicity. The team designed a working Flow to help local NGO’s understand what local providers would be a good fit for their unique needs, resources, and skill-sets. And, check out their incredible video to promote their work!

Next Steps: Publish the flow externally so NGO’s can start using it!

——

This framework would be incredibly useful. Did it ever get released?

We have two new #Hub Heroes this month! @Akash Mishra & Gordon Lee, @CSM Administrator!

THANK YOU to Akash and Gordon for all that you do in the Salesforce community and in particular, the Hub - you both go above and beyond and we thank you so much for everything you contribute!

Now, let's get to know our Hub Heroes a bit more!

💥 Akash Mishra, Leader New Delhi, In Nonprofit Salesforce User Group

Why is community important to you? What motivates you to contribute?

The time I stepped in the Salesforce ecosystem in 2011 there was no Trailhead and just a few resources to learn from, the biggest source was the community, it not just helped me learn and grow but also inspired me to share and help other Trailblazers in the ecosystem. I learned from others and now I am #givingback. Everything I share, every answer I give, is really a great feeling to see that is helping someone, reminds me of the time I was on the other side facing problems and trying to find someone who can help, that's motivation.

Is there one moment that stands out about your time in the Hub?

I have many actually:

  1. Introduction to Llamas at Nonprofit Social Hour by @Melissa Hill Dees
  2. Joining my first #Community Sprints and meeting #Sprinty
  3. Got a appreciation message for an answer by the person who asked the question
  4. Answering the question answered by sir @Steve Molis and still got the best answer
  5. Co-leading the International Sprint Programming sub-group of DEI Initiatives all thanks to @Brittany Daley
  6. Got a chance to Interview @Selina Suarez, CEO PepUp Tech while working with Eco-wide Coalition group of OSC Sprint

Anything else you’d like to share about yourself and your Salesforce journey?

Akash Mishra is leading the “New Delhi, In Salesforce Nonprofit User Group” from past 3 years and he is an open source community sprinter and co leader for International Sprint Programming sub-group of DEI Initiatives. He is working as a Technical Lead at @Dazeworks with a total experience of 9+ years developing over the Salesforce Platform, he is Salesforce Lightning Champion, Salesforce Certified Developer and Certified Administrator and serving the Salesforce community from past 6 years. Greater association with non-profits and educational institutions in India, evangelizing, motivating and inspiring to learn and to be successful with Salesforce. He is the core team member of IndiaDreamin in 2017-18 and also a co-organiser of NonprofitDreamin in 2021.

💥 Gordon Lee, Salesforce Solutions Architect @ Common Sense Media

Why is community important to you? What motivates you to contribute?

When I was starting out as a solo admin, the community was the only place I could get answers to my Salesforce questions as well as geek out with fellow nerds (Trailblazers hadn't been coined yet) on things such as s-controls. (R.I.P) I contribute where I can to help someone else get unstuck, move forward with their day, and do more awesome things with Salesforce.

Is there one moment that stands out about your time in the Hub?

The Friday #Coffee Chat during this pandemic have been a greatly appreciated social destress. I never would have heard about it if it wasn't for Lizzy and Anne's announcement in the Hub! Plus it's just great to see friendly faces and put actual faces to names I've seen around so much. A close second is when I got my limited edition Salesforce.org sweatpants in the mail. And then those quickly became my wife's sweatpants. Thief.

THANK YOU & CONGRATS!

We just need to track hours and what they worked on and print out weekly or monthly reports.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm baaaaack! Has there been discussion of an Outbound Funds Contact Role type object? In my use case we have many more people than just the one 'Organization Contact' that we need to track - for example, we need to know who the person is who can sign the grant letter, but other people often need to be cc'ed on the grant letter too. Also, just curious if anyone has done a DocuSign integration yet for their contracts for their awarded outbound funds - would love to hear tips, tricks, gotchas, etc! Thanks! cc @Rachel Garcia James

Thanks @Bill Corkill for the quick and thorough response. The org I am working with wants to automate the generation of their grant letters directly from Salesforce and as part of that, could have anywhere between 2 to 5+ contacts that would need to sign the document. So a contact role type of object would be best. I agree with you, wouldn't want to build something if its coming so we will probably deprioritize this part of the automation for a bit to see if you all end up adding this functionality in the future. I won't be coming to the Detroit Sprint but will try my best to make it to the next one. Thank you!

Hello sprinters! Many of you know @Tracy Kronzak and me from many years in this community, but you may not know that we both currently work on the Success Engagement team at Salesforce.org, in which we engage (😉) during pre-sale to ensure that nonprofits/Higher Ed institutions new to Salesforce (or existing ones who are buying new products) have the resources necessary to ensure a successful implementation. We have a lot of resources we've developed as a team whose primary audience is larger organizations, but are always looking to develop more, particularly ones that might speak to a wider audience. We came up with a couple of ideas we thought might be great ones to bring to the Detroit sprint - resources that could be shared widely once completed! We are asking for your feedback on whether you think these might successful sprint projects.

Idea 1: The Ideal Implementation: An in-depth community-sourced articulation of how an implementation project should go, from time of initial engagement with a partner to end of project, and the community's take on what the deliverables need to look like - be it documentation, communication, project management, etc.

Outputs: timeline with components, key milestones where customers have specific expectations, possibly others?

Idea 2: The Ideal Salesforce Team and Jobs: How do smaller and medium sized

organizations and schools create the proper team, internal structures, and job

roles for thinking and acting like a platform/CRM organization?

Outputs: Salesforce team org charts, Center of Excellence structures, templates of sample job descriptions to fill these roles.

We know there was a team at the Long Beach sprint that started working on something related to admin skills and job descriptions - I've connected with @Samantha Shain and we believe adding in the above can help continue what began at the last sprint.

Please, tell us what you think! Would you attend either of these sessions above? What might make them even stronger? Do you believe the outputs would be value to our community?
