Is this the right place to ask about accessing some of the wonderful outputs of these Sprints?

I was really interested in hearing about this a while back:

ANZ Payment Solution Framework:

Focused on creating a decision tree to identify which companies/products could be used to solve local and general use cases. Payments, Receipting and Integrations is top of mind for a lot of people; customers want guidance about where to start, they want simplicity. The team designed a working Flow to help local NGO’s understand what local providers would be a good fit for their unique needs, resources, and skill-sets. And, check out their incredible video to promote their work!

Next Steps: Publish the flow externally so NGO’s can start using it!

——

This framework would be incredibly useful. Did it ever get released?

#SFDOSprintIdea  For all of those who were looking for linking Funding programs with the GAU, we're going to be continuing our discussion around this linkage from the last Sprint in Denver, while in Portland and hoping ot make some progress.

At Denver, we had stalled on a few scenarios to help get these two items connected.

  1. Utilize GAU Expenditures from the package with additional changes (like record type or other considerations)
  2. Utilize a new custom object
  3. Add additional lookup field to the existing GAU Allocation object in the NPSP (this would require some customization by Salesforce.org to allow for better extensibility).

We're hoping to build on this conversation from Denver and get some resolution so we can see this in the package soon!

Ways that you can help, if you have some scenarios or experience and will be at the Sprint, we'd love to have you join our table for a few minutes, or for the whole sprint.  However as we know many people won't be able to attend the Sprint, we'd love to have your feedback here.

Please share any use cases or other relevant information on this thread, and the team at the Sprint will be monitoring the discussion here.

I know this has been discussed before specifically in regards to NPSP's Engagement Plan, but wondering if anyone has a solution they like for "Engagement Plans" in EDA. Working with a customer who could benefit from this and as of now we think we will need to go custom/hybrid open-source, so I thought I'd ask the community!

It would be great if we had engagement plans in EDA!

I know we have a lot of community-sourced app comparison Google sheets out there that help get the ball rolling when looking for a new app. Does one exist for evaluating ETL options?

With Spring 20 you will soon be able to do record create with default values (aka URL hacking) in Lightning. Are there plans to update any of the NPSP buttons to incorporate this new feature?

You heard recently from us about our intent to build a new solution for volunteer management. Following this announcement, we continued to research and garner community feedback and have determined to shift our product development investment elsewhere through at least 2020.

As previously stated, Volunteers for Salesforce (V4S), our current volunteer management offering, will continue to be supported and available through the AppExchange. If V4S does not meet the needs of your organization, we encourage you to work with your Account Executive to determine which solution fits your needs.

Hey, @Arturo Ordoqui - I think this may actually be a good thing! I would LOVE to talk your ear off about ways Volunteer architecture could roll into Event Mgmt. As you already know, I have strong, belligerent (j/k) thoughts on the subject.

How do you all track relationships between two business accounts in SFDC? For example, there is a business that's a networking club, and we track what local businesses are members. Say you wanted a list of businesses that are members of the Chamber - how do you track that? In my old system, you could create relationships between accounts - but I don't see how to do that in SFDC (aside from parent/subsidiary.)

Hello Sprinters!

We are in the midst of 2020 Sprint planning and based on feedback from a variety of sources we're looking to make a few changes to the Sprint program. Salesforce.org Open Source Community Sprints have evolved over the years in an effort to ensure they continue to be a valuable experience for our community. As we look ahead to 2020 we expect larger than ever registration numbers, an increase in the type and number of our extremely popular CumulusCI Hands-On-Training sessions, and an increased focus on delivering Community contributions of all shapes and sizes. But, we couldn't imagine making any changes without you and are looking for volunteers who are willing to spend a few hours with us over the next month, to form a 2020 planning committee. If you attended at least one of our 2019 sprints (Long Beach, Detroit, or Philadelphia) we'd love to hear from you!

If you're interested, please send me a direct message with your preferred email address, or send an email to opensource@salesforce.org by Monday, Dec 9th.

Hi, Philadelphia Sprinters! I attended the Detroit sprint and was one of a dozen or so sprinters who helped to begin the Transfer Equivalency project for higher education institutions. (Github: https://github.com/SFDO-Sprint-2019-Detroit/transfer-equivalency)

I'd love to see this project continue at Philadelphia or in a future sprint. Are there any folks out going to Philadelphia that are interested in working on this project? We have a few issues identified in the Github repo, and if more guidance/support is needed I can try to make myself available for a bit during the week of the sprint if anybody has any questions about what we've worked on so far.

@Kathy Zimmerman Check out the Use Cases page: https://github.com/SFDO-Sprint-2019-Detroit/transfer-equivalency/wiki/Use-Cases -- a course transferring in to potentially multiple courses at the university is supported, but multiple courses transferring in to a single course is listed as not supported/next steps. It did come up in our initial discussions in July, but we didn't have time to think and design it properly.

I didn't see an Issue for this, so I've created https://github.com/SFDO-Sprint-2019-Detroit/transfer-equivalency/issues/28

I'm interested in starting a conversation about data collection for surveys/applications! Do you create a new field for each question? What if the questions change over time? What about reporting? I know that #foundationConnect users (like me!) struggle with this question, as well as anyone who uses formbuilder tools to collect info (@Michael Kolodner & your 500-field survey custom object). I think this could be a good #SFDOSprintIdea  collab with @Outbound Funds Module (SFDO Product)  - perhaps with a deliverable (docs or knowledge article) about considerations/user stories. Or if this has been done elsewhere... where? Excited to dive in! @Salesforce.org Commons & Sprint Events
