Notification when message is from my own user

On my slack (Pro), I connected a platform via Integration (API) , to a dedicated channel, where I get messages from myself - so It does not trigger a notification :/   

I need to find a way to get notifications when the sender is ...me.  

any suggestions?

    Hi @Roy Naar

    Slack does not send notifications for messages sent by your own user, even if they come via an API/integration. This is expected behavior.

    Workarounds:

    1. Post as a bot/app user instead of your own user (recommended). Messages from bots do trigger notifications.
    2. Post to a thread and follow the thread to get notifications.
    3. Use keywords or @mentions (e.g., @here, your user ID, or a custom keyword) in the message text.
    4. Send the message to a different user or channel, then forward it if needed.

We installed the Conversation Notifications Package to our Sandbox and set all the steps described in instruction, but it still not work for us. But the ringtone remains the same.

 

We have a request from our business team, as they need to change sound for new Chat in Omni Channel for our Chat Operators.

 

We contacted the Salesforce Support, but they only told us what we can write in the Community and that further checking on it, they realized and could confirm that salesforce Labs is a program that lets salesforce.com engineers, professional services staff, and other employees share AppExchange apps they've created with the customer community and can be used at the customer own risk and the salesforce.com is not responsible for any of the functionality.

    Hi @Oleksandr Kuzheliuk; would you mind sharing the source where you found this package? We do not recognize it as a Salesforce Labs listing and it appears that the package may not have been security reviewed. If you found it on AppExchange, could you share the link with us?
