#Trailhead Developer Org4 discussing

We are currently using the Tableau Cloud Metadata API (GraphQL) to retrieve workbook, dashboard, and sheet-level metadata.

We are facing the following issues and would like clarification 

 

1. Metadata update delay

 

Changes in Tableau Cloud (e.g., new workbook/dashboard) are not immediately reflected in Metadata API (GraphQL) responses.

  • Is this expected behavior?
  • Are there known delays/limitations?
  • If yes, please share official documentation/reference.

2. Dashboard → sheets mapping

 

We need to fetch sheets (ID, name) within a dashboard.

  • Is Metadata API the recommended approach?
  • If not, what is the reliable alternative?

3. Expected latency

  •  What is the typical time taken for the Metadata API to reflect recent changes made in Tableau Cloud? 
  • Can this delay be reduced or controlled?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your response.

    In our case, we are observing higher delays in metadata updates on our Tableau Cloud site: 

     

    https://prod-useast-a.online.tableau.com

    •  Metadata updates are taking 24–48 hours
    •  In some cases, new workbooks are not reflected even after 5 days
    •  In some rare cases, certain workbooks are not returned at all in the Metadata API response

    Could you please suggest if the next step is to raise a case with Tableau Support, or is there anything we should verify from our side first?

I have orgs to use for a few of these but it seems the further I get in the trail the more issues I am having.  Where can I request a new org that will fit the exercises for this trail?

    Hi @Sharon Park

     

    For the

    “Grow Your Business with Salesforce Foundations” trail, you don’t need to request a separate org manually. The recommended approach is to use a fresh Trailhead Playground that is automatically provisioned for hands-on challenges.

    What you can do:

    •  Click “Launch” on any hands-on challenge in the trail 
    •  If you face issues, select “Create Playground” to generate a new one 
    •  Make sure you’re using the playground linked to the challenge (not an older org) 

    If issues continue

    •  Some modules in this trail rely on Salesforce Foundations features, which may not work properly in older playgrounds 
    •  In that case: 
      •  Create a new Trailhead Playground (latest version)
      •  Or try from Hands-on Orgs → Create Playground

    @Subashini Thomas if that is this kind of playground, you can only have one of a kind in parallel. So if you cannot log into it (from the module, or from your hands-on orgs page as it was not connected) and did not receive the password reset email (to the mentioned yahoo.com email address), then you need either to wait for the playground to expire (and maybe clean your browser cache or try in incognito mode after then) or submit a case to support (https://help.salesforce.com/s/case-submission ; that might take more time than the playground expiration time).

I am trying to complete a set of AgentForce related trails from the following Trailmix:

I was able to create a dev org for the first parts for Coral Cloud Resorts and was able to proceed and complete the challenges under them. 

 

But when I started this module:

I can no longer select my dev org and only two of my non-dev org playground appears on the selection. 

 

I have tried several fixes and made sure that I am logged into trailhead using the credentials for the dev org but none of them are working and the dev org still does not show up as a selection. I have tried to clear cache and remove my entire browser history just to check if it's a cache issue but nothing still works. 

 

Here's a screenshot of the org selection when I go to the challenge: 

My dev org does not appear on the list of hands-on org on different challenges for AgentForce. I have two playground org but Einstein Setup does not show on them

 

As mentioned earlier, I tried connecting my dev org by clicking on the Connect Org button and logging in using its credentials and then it takes me back to the module page and the dev org still does not appear as an option from the list of available org. 

 

When I click on Manage Orgs, it shows up as the Agentforce dev org I previously used to complete the first few challenges. Here is a screenshot for reference:

Is there a way I can fix this or other ways to connect the dev org on Trailhead so I can finish the challenge and credit the work I've done on the dev org?

Hi there ! 

I'm trying to setup a DE org but I used it in the past with other emails and I can't create a new DE org for quoting agent.  

When putting my email as Username I get this error message : "Username is already used.Try another." 

And when I keep my email but use another Username (like the "epic.." email) I receive an email saying "Sorry we couldn't sign you up because you already have an account. Register with another email."  

Could you please help ?

Hi there, I did this challenge initially and received errors w/ assigning the user and the agent wouldnt work so after much trouble shooting I created a new dev org and thought I had connected the new one. I went through all the challenges steps (didnt get the errors from before) and was able to create the quote and send the email successfully but I still received an error when I clicked to verify the challenge saying- Step not yet complete in leilanuri@gmail.com

Your permission set called Agentforce User doesn’t have Agent Access to Quoting Agent.

- I dont know what to do...

    Sounds like the permission set in your new org is missing the specific “Agent Access: Quoting Agent” permission. Go back to Setup, edit the Agentforce User permission set, and in the enabled agent access section make sure Quoting Agent is checked. Then reassign it to your user and log out/in before re-verifying.

I'm working on a challenge that requires me to edit picklist values on Priority field on Case object. However, I can't open standard fields on all objects in Object Manager. For example; I can't open Priority field on Case object in both Trailhead Playground and Developer org, but I can open custom fields.  

Hi Trailblazer,

 

After clicking on Priority field, I only see a blank space opening up instead of field detail!

However, when I click on Product field, the product field detail opens up.

Hi, I can't progress on teh agentforce innovator status because it doesn't let me add the generate a personalized schedule action to my coral agent. I tried clearing the cache, different brower, recreating the actions but nothing work. Now it'd be quicker to just redo the challenges entirely in a new org but it doesn't let me disconnect the org. Can you please advice? Thanks

    Hi, no it wasn't helpful. It may have been related to my account but I couldn't spin up new orgs. It was failing at each trial. What I ended up doing is taking the challenge from another account I had and then merging the accounts :/ Not very optimal but it worked.

I am unable to launch my playground to complete the "Enable Sales Coaching in Agentforce" trail   

When i click on launch it gives me 404 error
