Looking to understand what limitations there are with setting up SSO in Communities? The Getting Started with Communities User Guide (on page 11) suggests this is feasible.
Want to know any gotchas or tips with SSO when considering 3rd party applications for use in a Partner Community in addition to the published guidance?
SSO in Communities is definitely possible, but there are a few gotchas to watch for. Make sure the IdP supports SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect, and remember that community users often have different profiles/roles than internal users, so you’ll need to configure the login policies, user provisioning, and Just-in-Time (JIT) correctly. Also check licensing—some 3rd-party apps don’t fully support external/partner community users. Test carefully with multiple user types and domains, and consider branding/login page routing to avoid confusion.
