Is there a way to remove / hide delete icon on certin product family (or products) so once Sales Rep add the proudct they cannot remove it or change it? How this can be achieved?

By default, it is not possible to remove delete button from certain quote lines. It is somewhat surprising that Salesforce CPQ doensn't allow configuring a filter to hide specific buttons at the Quote Line level.

The only target object that supports evaluating a Custom Action Condition for a Custom Action displayed in the QLE (Quote Line Editor) is Quote. The documentation states: "Custom actions can’t be conditionally shown or hidden on specific lines."

I emphasize "only target object" because, when selecting Product as the target object, the documentation specifies: "Conditions can evaluate product fields only if your custom action appears in the configurator.”

There are many use cases where preventing the deletion of a specific Quote Line would be extremely valuable.

For instance, consider a Quote Line that represents transportation costs. This line (always one per Quote) is automatically added using a Product Rule, and its populated automatically through Price Rules. If you have a button that allows users to delete lines, it would be ideal to block deletion of this line, since every Quote containing products must include this cost.

What other options do we have?

One alternative, although it result in a poor user experience, is to cerate a validation type Product Rule. The problem is that this doesn't prevent the Quote Line from being deleted. Instead, once the user deletes the line and attempts to save, a validation error appears. To save successfully, the user would have to manually re-add the deleted product.

From there, I considered creating a Product Rule that automatically re-adds the missing product. However, after several tests, I was unable to make this work. Based on the documentation, it never going to work: "Quote-scoped product rules run only during product selection or bundle configuration. If the product rule’s error condition is based on quote or quote line data, Salesforce CPQ doesn’t evaluate the error condition until quote lines are added, which can require a second save during product bundle reconfiguration or product selection."

Hi all,

I know the Product2 standard object has some specialties, but this is very odd and I have never experienced this before:

As an admin, I was working through some very old product records that I wanted to clean up (deactivate), when suddenly this one product tells me that I do not have the necessary rights to edit it.Product2 Record can't be edited

This pops up as soon as I click the edit button. I have never had the same issue with any other product record. I logged in as other admin users and as the user who created the product, but the same error message kept popping up. As the error message suggests contacting the owner of the record, I tried to find out who the owner is, but could not find a way to visualize the owner on the page layout or show the information in a report. This is all very confusing.

Does anyone have an idea what to do? I really would like to get rid of this product.....

Thanks for your help!

@Lukas Giese i am suspecting in that case that this product record could be corrupted.. and we may need a case to be raised with salesforce.. BUT to double confirm.. can you do below

    1. Share screenshots of this product as well as product that you managed to edit and are in same pricebook.

    2. are there any lookup filter or lookup fields in the product record, wherein one of the lookup field records dont exist?

    3. are you able to clone this product successfully?

@Aiswariya Devi, please instead, go to the product record you want to add, then click on the pricebook related list, click add standard price, and mention a price when asked, please instead, go to the product record you want to add, then click on the pricebook related list, click add standard price, and mention a price when askedhttps://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.insurance_add_a_price_book_entry_606216.htm&type=5

Hi!,

We are having some issues uploading a product catalog for Predictive Intelligence. We had a catalog uploaded but now we want to upload a different one. The problem is that we are receiving this error "Requires Primary Key Mapping" and we dont know whats going on because we have uploaded a catalog twice without receiving any error.

Another question is if previous catalogs are completely deleted. If not, is it posible to do so?

I forgot to say that we are supposed to do de mapping after uploading the catalog, aren't we?

Thanks

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue on our B2B site. If you go to Experience Builder, open up the Settings > SEO Panel, and look at the "Object Access" section - our Products are not listed. Our Product Categories and Manage Content Pages are listed.

In our settings for the guest profile, we have the Product Object marked as "read-access", which, according to https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=networks_seo_object_access.htm is all we should need to do.  I currently have a case opened with support, but it seems like we aren't getting anywhere, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue, or might have some other ideas of what I should look for?

I've also manually checked our sitemap.xml file and the product pages are definitely not listed there. We've done a few manual sitemap generations with no luck.   Thank you!

In case anyone else has had this issue -- I got confirmation from support that this a B2B bug, and it is currently being fixed. They'll release a fix in an upcoming patch.

What appears to be happening is that if you have products with variants, those product objects will not be available for indexing int he SEO settings in Experience Builder, and they will not show up in the sitemap.xml file. However, if you have products that do not have variants, those will work as expected. So it's only the products with variants that are having the problem.

Hi everyone. Can I create a new sales process when I use Sales Cloud Essential?  Beside, Sales Cloud Essential does not have object called "Product". How can I create something else like this? And I would like to attach it to Opportunities.

Thank you so much. Have a good day

    Hi Thang, all sorted here?

Hi, Is there a way to have several Search Results Field Sets? I have a use case of min 3 product families, where for each the sales rep needs a different fields visible (searchable etc).  Based on Quote field the sales rep can choose only from within one Product Family, so pre-filtering would also be beneficial.

So far I have used formulas, but we are adding yet another Product Family and having an option to display different view based on Quote field would be awesome.

I am skeptical, but loosing hope is not my way :-D

Thanks Trailblazers
