#Classy Salesforce Integration0 discussing

Hi, everyone! Can Classy be implemented for Salesforce orgs still using @Nonprofit Success Pack + Salesforce Classic, or is the org required to be on Lightning?

Most importantly, will the Classy Control Panel V2 app where you declaratively set up many of the integration settings be accessible in Salesforce Classic? #Classy Salesforce Integration #Classy App #Classy Applications

You should contact Classy directly as well as through their Trailblazer group, you might get a faster response.

Since implementing Classy for recurring donations, I receive multiple emails, usually overnight, with this cryptic error:

Errors:

----------

 Error #1:

Error Type: Other

Error Date: 2024-03-22 09:09:19

Message: "bad value for restricted picklist field: Recurring Donation"

Context: RD

Stack Trace:

 null

----------

 Error #2:

Error Type: Other

Error Date: 2024-03-22 09:09:20

Message: "bad value for restricted picklist field: Recurring Donation"

Context: RD

Stack Trace:

 null

There's always a list of them, sometimes just a few and sometimes 100 or more, all the same, except for the time. Since it's a SF error, Classy has been unhelpful. The recurring donation sync is opaque. I can see what fields are involved but not what values are being sent. I have asked them for more information but they have not been forthcoming. I'm still hopeful I'll get the sync details from them.

RD records are being created but they are not getting updated with each new payment. I don't know where to look next. Any ideas?

@Rachel Fain There's a field in NPSP on the Recurring Donation object called "Installment Period" - that's the only place that NPSP has that kind of value and if you don't already have "Quarterly" there you can add it.

Do you have any Recurring Donation to Opportunity mapping set up in NPSP?

...or will the Classy for Salesforce managed package continue to be designed for NPSP, and a new product be made available for Nonprofit Cloud customers? Is there a migration path for Nonprofit Cloud customers who have implemented the pre-existing Classy for Salesforce? #Classy Salesforce Integration #Classy App #Nonprofit Cloud

Hi @Michelle Jowitt -- Thank you for the tag!  Classy is currently building a new connector to integrate directly with Nonprofit Cloud, specifically Fundraising.  Our existing managed packages with NPSP will continue to be supported as well.  As of now, we're aiming to have a Nonprofit Cloud integration ready by early April for a closed beta with plans of GA being in May.

From what I understand, a migration path is something that is still in discovery from the Salesforce side but as we get closer to our new integration being ready we will have guidance on how to migrate Classy data into NPC. I hope this helps!

Hello, to integrate a third-party app in Salesforce and obtain the provider API name and secret key, you typically need to follow these steps:

    1. Install the Third-Party App: Go to the Salesforce AppExchange and locate the app you want to install. Click on the "Get It Now" or "Install" button to initiate the installation process. Follow the prompts to grant necessary permissions and install the app in your Salesforce org.

    2. Access the Connected App: Once the installation is complete, navigate to the Salesforce Setup menu by clicking on your username in the top-right corner and selecting "Setup." In the Setup menu, search for "App Manager" or "Connected Apps" and click on it.

    3. Find the Third-Party App: In the Connected Apps section, you should see a list of installed apps. Locate the third-party app you installed and click on its name to access its details geometry dash scratch.

    4. Retrieve API Credentials: Within the app's details, you should find information about its API integration, including the provider API name and secret key (also known as the client ID and client secret). Look for fields like "API Name," "Consumer Key," or "Client ID" to find the necessary credentials.

I know how to make reports, but tonight I'm beginning to make reports pulling data from Campaign and Opportunity. No matter what type of report I use, I can't get any data show! We have several campaigns and multiple opportunities. Why can't I generate a report?

I'm looking at the NPSP Reports Workbook and I don't even have the first screen that is shown to get NPSP reports.

We're seeking a peer to peer (P2P) fundraising solution and am wondering if anyone has done a comparison analysis regarding these three solutions.

I understand that it will really come down to what our requirements are and how each solution fulfills those, but just to get started it would be helpful to get some sense as to the pros and cons of each.

Also, is there any other worthy P2P solution that should also be considered?

We use Classy and really love it. It's easy to learn with a nice page layout and drag and drop functionality when you're creating campaigns! The new Fundraising Suite allows for a lot more customization, too. In addition, their support team is always quick to respond and great to work with. We tried a peer-to-peer campaign this summer and we received feedback that it was easy for our volunteers to create and share their campaigns. I've found that their blogs and webinars are also great resources - especially for me since I'm pretty new to all of this!
