I m trying to do POC on EAC (Einstein Activity Capture). I got access to O365. But when I m trying to connect Salesforce Inbox to O365 using email Id, I'm getting an error. Screenshot attached.

I get a pop-up message "Salesforce Inbox needs permission to access resources in your organization that only an admin can grant. Please ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it."

My User is Non-Admin User and as per EAC even Non-Admin User can get connected to O365 and sync the events. Also what access Admin can give to Non-Admin User on O365 this is also not clear.

But why I'm getting this message. Screen Attached. Any help on this will be highly appreciated.

I have read about the changes with Inbox and EAC since the Winter '19 update, but we can't successfully see the results. We had Inbox with G-Mail beta extension, and things were tracked fine. Going forward, how do we see the tracking? Under the Activity of Contact (Currently reading NOT TRACKING), the HTML Status in related list (we do NOT see that in Lightning), or the HTML eMail Status report??? We can't find this report?

Do we have to do additional configuration (or uninstall/re-install) since we were happily using the GMail Beta product?

We want to see openings, dates, clicks, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Native reports and dashboards for Einstein Activity Capture are currently in beta, check out my 5 minute hands-on here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsIE1K4GUuk

To sign up for the Beta you need at least 1 paid licence, activity metrics on and then to submit this form; https://sfdc.co/UnifiedReporting

Super excited that #Salesforce are allowing us to unlock the value of reporting all activities in one place!

I just want to confirm that SalesforceIQ Inbox is now rebranded as Salesforce Inbox??

And is a paid license add-on??

Thank you.

Hi there, for anyone using the Salesforce Inbox extension, are you noticing that your users are getting logged out every 10-15 minutes? It's becoming quite frustrating having to log back in every time.

We have the same problem - we have to log in when selecting a new E-Mail. But it happens only with „new Outlook“ for Mac. Using the old version the addin works - but therefore the outlook search gives no results anymore. 😏

I have some users for whom the Availability feature does not work properly. They are able to compose an email and include the chosen available meeting times they want to offer to the recipient(s).  However, when the recipient clicks on one of the time slots available to them to reserve that meeting time, the click renders a new browser window that shows the "Checking Availability" animation sequence for a short time, but then the recipient sees a message stating

"There was an error with your request. Please try again later."

What is the cause of this error message?  Is this likely a permissions setting that needs to be adjusted?  A profile setting? Security setting?

Any help would be appreciated!

I honestly don’t remember. But opening a case is the right thing to do.

I have a user that would like to relate emails to the BCC: recipients in her email sends. Is this possible?

When you are looking at the email and click on the little cloud to Log to Salesforce, it is only showing the To and CC recipients as Suggested Records. The Settings don't say anything about including BCC recipients so I'm wondering if this is a limitation?

Thanks!

    Hi @Shannon Resch

Can they send from a list view within Inbox instead? Thinking maybe they could have a list of Contacts ready but it would be individual sends at once so the people don't see each others' email addresses.

Can you tell us more about the List view within Inbox?

Does anyone know why it is not possible to create an Account record, even when I have selected it as one of the SFDC Favorite Objects in settings?

(in the FAQ of Inbox it does state Users can create records only for the following objects using Salesforce Inbox: Lead, Contact, Opportunity, and Case. I was assuming this is outdated info, since you can also select custom objects.)

We are using Inbox with an Android phone, and logging a call, the number in question is within Salesforce and the contact has been recently accessed so fits in with our Inbox Salesforce settings, yet Inbox does not find any contacts to relate the call to, an observation is that the Android phone has by default put spaces in to the number as follows 0115 123 4567 so this now doesn't match Salesforce could this be our issue?

Thanks

Nicola
