#Outlook Integration0 discussing

Just rolled out the Outlook integration to a handful of users and they are getting this error

An error occured while trying to deliver the attached email.

You may wish to report the following information to the owner of emailtosalesforce@xxxxsalesforce.com.

The apex class Messaging.EmailToSalesforceHandler failed due to: System.UnexpectedException: You are not authorized to delete task(s) records! Please contact your manager or administrator if you still believe you need to perform record deletion.

I am confused by this error because it is talking about 'deleting a task' but the user is just trying to send and log an email.

Any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Chad

Hello,

Some of our users have the Standard Einstein Activity Capture permission set assigned to them.

One of those users create meetings directly through Outlook and it syncs to Salesforce. However, for some reason, there are duplicate events being created automatically by Salesforce.

Had anyone here faced this problem before? What could be causing this?

Thank you,

    Hello Andréa,

    I came to your comment after a customer reports me a similar error, when creating a meeting type event from Teams or Outlook, 2 or even 3 events are created on the salesforce side, even some of them with user creators that have nothing to do with this meeting. Were you able to find a solution to this problem?

    On review I was able to identify that it is a known bug with the Outlook integration for salesforce.

    Thank you!

Hello Trailblazers, We recently setup Outlook Integration Einstein Activity Capture in our Sandbox environment to test out the features. The Salesforce Panel in Outlook only shows 2 tabs (Related and Tasks) and the + sign to add new Salesforce record only shows New Event, New Task and New Contact. How do we add New Lead to the list? (Use Case Example: I give out business cards at a networking event. Someone from the event is interested in our product and decides to email me. Now that the person has emailed me, I want to create a new lead from the email I received in Outlook). Several pictures in the Salesforce Help Articles, indicate there can or should be a New Lead option listed when we click the plus sign. I created an Email Application Pane, but I didn't see how to adjust options for the plus sign. Also on the tab lines, several pictures on the Salesforce help articles indicate we would we see a feed option. The Email Application Pane shows the Feed tab should be there, but it's not. Are these paid features? Or am I missing something?

My Options:

When user log emails from outlook to salesforce, in the side panel, and under People section, there is option to select salesforce user record. Where can i find that logged email on salesforce ? I did search under the user account, but didn't see any new created activity or logged email.

Note : Enhanced Email is turned on.

Log email to salesforce user

Thanks.

Hi all,

I'm working on a screen login flow to encourage users to connect their Salesforce and Outlook accounts.

The user can set a reminder and it creates a task.

I've been running some tests, to see what's the best. So my flow can also creates an event.

What I want is that when an event is created, it's also sent by email to the user as an Outlook invitation .ics format and html body with instructions. It is possible?

To sum up: I want the user to recieve an email which contains:

- event invitation in ics format so he can see it in his outlook calendar.

- html body with all the instructions on how to connect Salesforce and Outlook.

Thanks!

    Hi Marie,

    This is definitely possible, as I've done it previously. What I ended up doing was using a Visualforce email template with an attachment, where the attachment contained the ICS file (using the various merge fields from the record). I did need to use an Apex controller to format some of the values the way I wanted, though, so you'll most likely need a developer.

Is there a reason why the users at my company are saying that Outlook Add-In isn't capturing their email communication as activity after I have turned on Opportunity Scoring? #Einstein Activities Capture #Salesforce For Outlook #Outlook Integration

I have set up Einstein Activity Capture, Inbox and Outlook Integration in a SDO.

Given permission sets to the user and assigned the panes but this is what I see once I download the add-in and sign-in.

Blank Salesforce Outlook Integration Pane

I can create record, I can't redirect to the home page, no related record are shown and I can't log Email.

Is this because the user has a different email domain (eg: outlook.it) from the Internal Domain (eg. CompanyName.it)?

Is this because I'm working in an SDO?

Logging in with Exchange this is what I see, but once I click OK everything blanks

    Hi Chris,

    the problem was caused by the fact that the Org's Internal Domain was different from the personal Email Domain of the user (My Personal Settings section). If they don't match you have no possibilty to use Salesforce Inbox correctly, even if you configured everything in the exact way.

    Hope this helps :)

    Have a good day

    Sara

Our users are just starting to use the Outlook  Integration.  One of the users is receiving an error when attempting to Log an email from the Saleforce panel within outlook:

"exchangeServerError": {

  "code": "ErrorNonExistentMailbox",

  "message": "No mailbox with such guid."

Has anyone else experienced this, and is aware of a cause and/or solution?

Thanks in advance.

    @Jazmine Moore

    Do you see any errors when you click on the Troubleshoot option in Outlook Integration panel? So navigate to the email where you are getting this error and then click on troubleshoot, see if you are getting any error there.
