#Error Message0 discussing

While I'm not sure when this issue began, we've started receiving errors when accessing custom views on a couple of our Tableau dashboards. When we load the custom view, the error appears in a red box at the top of the Tableau Cloud screen, and it reads, "An error occurred while loading the custom view [Custom View Name

]. Re-create the custom view if the error persists." The first time we saw this was yesterday, January 5, 2026. Strangely enough, the custom view still appears to work, changing the filters accordingly.

To be fair, we changed one filter from a single select drop down to a multiple select drop down back in September 2025. But we didn't see the errors at that time. It also looks like custom views created since September 2025 are throwing this error.

As the error message suggests, recreating the custom view

does

fix the problem. However, I'm not necessarily looking for a solution here, but rather a potential cause. This doesn't happen on all of our dashboards, just two that I've found so far. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

None of the articles explain the why it is happening.  Thus said, probably the best if you want to get to the cause would be to create a support case. Maybe support could give you the cause, or maybe this is a not known issue that may need a support case and solution.

When I try to create a record by sending a request, I get an error:

{

        "errorCode": "NOT_FOUND",

"message": "The requested resource does not exist"

    }

Here's an example of the request I am making:

url: https://myDomain.my.salesforce.com/services/data/v60.0/sobjects/Account

method: POST

authentication header: Bearer <token>

I am using JWT Bearer flow.

If I make a GET request to: https://myDomain.my.salesforce.com/services/data/v60.0/sobjects/

I get a response. But, if I make a GET request to https://myDomain.my.salesforce.com/services/data/v60.0/sobjects/Account

I get the same "he requested resource does not exist" response.

Not sure if that's related

It can be a permissions trouble.

Make sure you have created a Permission Set with the System Permission: API enabled and Api Only User enabled.

In addition, make sure the user that is connected has all permissions to the objects you are trying to access to.

    Best regards!

Hi,

I am learning and doing my hands-on on financial services cloud modules. I have set up my financial services org. I am basically doing hands-on on my wealth management app.

I am getting the following error message while creating an account (Person Account/Household):

"FinServ.AccountTrigger: execution of BeforeInsert caused by: FinServ.MoiExceptionWrapper.ValidationException: Your account record type is missing, a duplicate, or invalid. Ask your admin to check the individual record type configurations in Setup. (FinServ)"

I think it has something to do with my account record type settings. I tried checking in setup for the same but couldn't find anything. Also under Wealth Management Set up> Groups > Record types - I didn't find any records. Is this ok?

*Note - The org set up is not part of any firm or entity. Its set up for training purposes as suggested in Trailhead modules.

Any help to resolve this would be great. Thanks in advance.

To get rid of this error you will need to go over fields Field-Level Security for fields starting with FinServ on Account, Account Contact Relationship, Contact, Case, Opportunity objects. I couldn't see those fields in Lightning, so I switched to SF Classic. I just gave permissions to all profile to save time.

Anyone have a resolution for this error message:

  • agf.WorkTrigger: execution of AfterInsert caused by: System.NullPointerException: Attempt to de-reference a null object (agf)

This occurred after creating a new page layout and a new record type then trying to create a new work item. I have repeated this process 3 times with the same result and am unable to create new usable record types in my org (using Lightning). Thank you very much for any assistance!

What's the solution for this issue? I have the same error reported by @Debbie Hurth but in my case I'm trying to create records using Salesforce inspector. So I would think that page layouts here have no influence. @Divya Ranjit. Thanks in advance

Hello Fellow Trailblazers,

When deleting some dashboards, I came across this error message:

Cannont complete this operation. This dashboard is referenced elsewhere in Salesforce. Remove the usage and try again. Referenced by the dashboardName property of the desktopDashboards:embeddedDashboard component in this Lightning page: Getting Started Home.

I found a 2020 issue/discussion post when I googled the error message, but that was not very helpful in getting around this error and deleting my dashboard.

Anyone have any ideas/steps to resolving this error message?

    Hi Eric,

Most probably, this dashboard is being used somewhere on the lighting page (in your case, the HOME page).

You can check there, and if it exits, edit the page from the giar icon, then remove the dashboard from the page.

Try to delete after doing this process. I hope this helps you.

Hi,

I've created the Event Monitoring App but the dataflow fails, giving the following error: Something went wrong while executing the ExtractAPIFile node: Error in GetEdgemartCurrentData for edgemart API: No edgemarts found with specified URL:esObject/edgemart?current=true&alias=API (02K0X000000EsqEUAS_03C0X000001K7TiUAK)

I have no idea what this means, except that the edgemart nodes didn't work. Did anybody encouter a similar error? Or is this a bug?

@Gilles Pettersson I am also facing error similar to this

Something went wrong while executing the ExtractProcessedApexUnexpectedException node: Error in GetEdgemartCurrentData for edgemart ApexUnexpectedExceptionProcessed: No edgemarts found with specified URL:esObject/edgemart?current=true&alias=ApexUnexpectedExceptionProcessed (02KKH000000ThNV2A0_03CKH000000QCTv2AO)

Are you able to fix the issue and how?

Please help me understand the issue.

In the Create Validation Rules trailhead I completed everything and got this message: An unexpected error occurred while inserting Account records and we couldn't check your work. Make sure Account records can be inserted in this org, and click "Check Challenge" again. If this continues, contact the Trailhead Help team.

I tried to do it in a new org but then would have to redo everything. How can I complete this challenge without going through the whole thing again. Thanks for any advice or help!

Hello, So I have installed Trail Tracker in my production version by following these instructions in the installation guide: https://quip.com/AVc8Aouc4Lzx

I get to the step "Setting Up the Trailhead Data Sync" and when it asks for my Username/password/security token/debug level/custom domain/license type.

After entering the correct info

I get an error message:

Error:

You must enter your credentials in the Credentials & Settings section before scheduling the synchronization task.

I have reset my token and even had support dial in to see if I am doing something wrong (I am not) I have had to log a Trailhead case which has come back saying reset your security token (DOH).

I have hence logged another case as I cannot seem to access the existing case as I would with Salesforce support. It is a shame that Trailhead is separate support from Salesforce.

Any ideas?

User is getting an error when trying to relate a record to another record. User has Read and Edit to both objects and edit access to the lookup field. Sharing rule is in place that shares record type with user. There are no flows, triggers, or validation rules that are prohibiting user from being able to perform this action.

I did a test in our dev environment and when I gave the user Modify All on the related object they were able to perform the action without error. Does anybody know why this might be happening?

    Hello @Cody Ingram

When an error occurs in Salesforce, it can be a bit frustrating trying to pinpoint the exact cause. If you're seeing an error message, make sure to read it carefully, as it might provide useful clues about what could be causing the issue. For instance, it could mention missing permissions, validation rules, or any other restrictions that are preventing the action from being completed.

A good idea is to check the debug logs if you have access to them. These logs can offer detailed insights into what's happening in Salesforce when the error occurs. You can also utilise the Developer Console to run queries and observe what's happening with the records and objects involved in the error.

Furthermore, it's always helpful to review the Setup Audit Trail to see if there have been any recent changes that could be related to the error.

If this answer helped you mark it as valid to validate my answer.😊

    regards.
