Is there a highlights list that can be shared with end users, one that does not necessarily focus on admin tasks?
Jul 21, 2020, 5:21 PM The best resource for this is to take the Release in a Box deck and just use the "business user" slides - https://admin.salesforce.com/releaseinabox FYI

Hello,
I am in the process of implementing Maps into our org so that we can have a specific subset of users check in when they are on location with a client within a 1 mile radius.
The functionality of the set up works really well, but I have some use case scenarios where how we need it to function for our end users is not very user friendly.
Currently, we implemented where an event needs to exist in an account (the event page being where all the information for the Customer Account Managers are storing their information in reference to their visits). When the go to the location, they need to go to the Maps app which is the only place we want them to check in for the sake of getting the coordinates and the arrival time correct.
As they check in, a task is created that records the coordinates. When the check in is complete, this fires a process builder that sends the coordinates to the current event and time and date stamps the arrival.
The issue is that they may need to go on a visit where the event was not created ahead of time, or they need to be able to edit the information in the event while on site. This gets a little dicey as checking in only creates a new task without the process builder and we dont want them going in and out of multiple apps when they are trying to be efficient on their visit.
We are looking at the potential of creating a basic event in the maps app and using the functionality in the maps app to switch back and forth to SF mobile so they can edit the event by using the View Record button in the Maps app. We have another process builder to then allow for a new event to be created based on a custom follow up date to allow a future meeting to be scheduled in advance without having to reenter all information. This still seems clunky though. I am going to provide my two use case scenarios. Does anyone have any experience trying to do the same type of deployment and how were you able to make the process user friendly for the end users?
Scenario 1 -
CAM arrives at Account location
From mobile device, CAM creates a new activity on Account record and enters the following details (or information is captured automatically)...
Visit Type
Visit Details
Feedback
Rating
Image/Video/Audio
Long/Lat of location at time of form entry
date/time
schedules follow-up activity for date in the future
Scenario 2 -
CAM is scheduled to visit an Account on a future date for a Spot Visit
Record of upcoming activity is visible in Salesforce
On day of meeting, CAM arrives at Account location
From mobile device, CAM opens existing activity, completes additional form details and closes existing activity
Visit Details
Feedback
Rating
Image/Video/Audio
Long/Lat of location at time of form entry
date/time
schedules follow-up activity for date in the future

May 19, 2020, 1:47 PM @Anne Librach The check in custom disposition will follow the field requirements that you have stipulated on the object field permissions. You can make adjustments to field permissions to allow users to fill out the form without required fields.
The two options I provided previously are the recommended next steps. If you would like, you can connect with the Salesforce Maps Professional Services team and they can review options to create a Statement of Work to modify the Maps product. You can reach out to your Salesforce Account Executive and they will connect with the Professional Services team. Your Account Executive will work with you to discuss the Statement of Work and pricing options. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions. Thanks!

Hello Service Cloud Friends!
I'm working on implementing Service for a new customer, and am wondering: What are your favorite little extras to add to your Service Cloud implementation to make it extra fun or useful for end users?
I want to hear about your little tips and tricks to just add some extra "oomph!" to make users love working in Service Cloud!
Hello, Admin Trailblazers. Documentation for the linked feature states that there is 1 click path for fresh Enterprise (and up) orgs, and 1 path (open a support case) for orgs that have been "upgraded from Professional Edition."
In several recent Enterprise orgs, we are seeing this feature not availble - presumedly we need to folloow the open a support case path. Are you all finding this generally today? All orgs must open a case to enable this feature?
Hi all!! I need some help - I am looking for a very brief video introduction lightning experience for my end users (Sales cloud). I've looked through some of the resources Salesforce offers and none are really basic enough. I am just looking for something (maybe a good article and quick video) that explains what lightning is and what it looks like.
More in depth training and sessions will be provided - but as a first intro, i really want to just show users what it is and how it looks.
Any ideas/ recommendations? Thanks everyone!
Aug 16, 2019, 2:53 PM We used these two videos as part of org wide communication :)

Hi All, We recently created a custom object on our salesforce sales cloud instance which contains our unqualified pool of marketing contacts we run demand generation and end user campaigns to. These contacts don't have a verified relationship with an account and therefore don't sit well in the contacts object. In order to record transactions against those marketing contacts we created a custom object that holds a record per transaction. Both custom objects are junctioned together. This means there are many transactions to one end user record. Now when we go to reporting, we are unable to run a report on the marketing contacts who have purchased with one record per individual, we can only run a report that contains all of the transactions against those end users thus duplicating the end user by the number of transactions, into the report. As they are custom objects we are unsure of how to proceed in configuring the correct report structure.
Does anybody have experience of these issues?
Thank you,
Vikki
Jul 19, 2019, 9:31 AM Hi @Britto Fernandez , I've updated the question but basically we have one custom object that hols marketing contacts with their email addresses and one that contains many transactions per one marketing contact.

On the get started with Salesforce Mobile App am I supposed to download the app for admins or end users to my phone? So is it Salesforce1 or SalesforceA?

Dec 2, 2018, 8:44 AM So Salesforce1 was never mentioned in the module from what I could see. The simulator I searched in my browser for and downloaded to Google drive for an iOS device which ended up working out. BTW, Salesforce1 wasn't readily discoverable in Google Play from my phone.
Has anyone created a newsletter with tips and tricks for end users?

Hi,
Can you please let us know why the end users are receiving the notification for TLS upgrade even though they are not the admins?
Jun 19, 2017, 7:10 PM Apologies for that, it was an error. See this post: https://success.salesforce.com/0D53A000038pXsC
