#Volunteers For Salesforce App1 discussing

Hello,

I have been working on this for 3 hours and have about had it. All of a sudden my volunteer's dashboard links stopped working. When you input your information, you never get an email. I accessed the link though my admin page and I was able to receive the sign in link to my personal page, but once I clicked on it, I was just redirected back to the contact look up page. I have tried every answer I can find and frankly I'm about ready to throw my computer. Please help.

I am trying to install the Volunteer Management package. I've gone through all the trailhead steps and now I think I'm just clicking options to see if it changes anything. 

The volunteer job page shows no jobs. All jobs are connected to active campaigns, with the option to show on the website selected. All jobs have shifts, future dates, and recurring schedules. 

The Visualforce preview page shows the page with all jobs listed correctly (albeit with questionable formatting), with a working link to sign up. 

I've tried to access the online guide posted in another answer and the link no longer works. 

Please help. 

I've just finished creating a site to register new volunteer. While testing I've run into a few issues: 

• Fields on the Volunteer form are not populating on the contact record when form is submitted. 
• The form has no formatting
• When clicking submit on the form, it says the form has been submitted but remains on the form with the filled in fields. Should the form clear or is there a way to redirect the user back to the home page

I'm very new to NPSP and to Volunteers for SF. This is my first time working with a custom site. Any help is greatly appreciated!  

Hi, I have V4S setup and we use the VolunteersSignupFS form on our web site. Recently, I started getting an Authorization Required error after submitting the form with the URL parameter to add a file upload button. The error appears on of the PersonalSiteContactLookup page in the iframe, where I can also navigate the job calendar and other menu items.. We do not get the error when running the URL without any parameters - i.e. testing it from the sites config menu.r 

• http://[domain].force.com/volunteers/GW_Volunteers__VolunteersSignupFS?FileUploadLabel=Please%20upload%20your%20resume resukts in Authorization Requited error...
• http://[domain].force.com/volunteers/GW_Volunteers__VolunteersSignupFS works fine.

This was working for over a year and am having a hard time troubleshooting since it doesn't appear I can use debug logs. Anyone seen this issue or have ideas how to isolate the cause? What else happens when URL parameters are added to VolunteersSignupFS?

Hello! Are you using V4S? If so, are you utilizing it with the out of the box functions or did you have it customized by a third party? 

Right now, our Volunteer Department is juggling a bunch of different systems that don’t talk to Salesforce, so there’s a ton of manual work. We’re thinking a lot of it could be automated if Salesforce was our main hub for signing up volunteers, tracking hours, scheduling, and letting volunteers check their schedule on a computer or tablet. 

We are thinking of experience cloud but before that explore other options.

I'm wondering why I receive the error "Sorry, there are no volunteer jobs available at this time" when I try to use the following link for the specific job listings to add to my org's website (http://slnv4s.force.com/GW_Volunteers__VolunteersJobListingFS). It works for the general volunteer sign up (http://slnv4s.force.com/GW_Volunteers__VolunteersSignupFS).

When I open the visualforce page for the specific volunteer jobs I see them but not using the URL above. The campaign is active and the events have the box checked for display on website. The first event is in November. 

Any insight into why the link doesn't work?
