Hi all! Question about current NPSP native communications technology vs. Conga. I am a previously certified admin but it's been a number of years since I've been in a role that used those skills in depth and I haven't kept up so appreciate your tips!
I just started back at a nonprofit org where we need some automation around donor gift processing/acknowledgment. I've used Conga at my previous org and know it is great once set up, love love love getting the letters merged without having to run a report and set up a mail merge every time and getting them sent out automatically vs. having to email out manually, and having automation set up so the requisite acknowledgment status fields get updated, and a copy of letter saved to the opportunity... but in my experience Conga has been time consuming and finicky to set up...and I'm wondering if there is native technology in Salesforce NPSP at this point we could employ to be able to run acknowledgment letters in a similar way and distribute by email to donors, either run in batches or one off during slow times, and have the ability to build in some of that automation. Or if we just need to pay up and get Conga here too and probably invest in a consultant to help with set up...
Thanks for any advice on where to look for resources on this (I did a quick search of articles and posts in Trailblazer but didn't see anything speaking to this) or sharing what works for you!
Hi @Jillian Adkins, just want to introduce myself - I'm part of the Opero team. I started my Salesforce journey as a Program Director/Administrator at a nonprofit where we used Conga for all of our mail merge needs too. I'm obviously biased, but I think you'll find Opero Documents easier to use :) You can download a free trial from the AppExchange and I'm available if you have any questions or feedback: cpopovich@opero.com. Thanks for the shoutout, @Luison Lassala
