Hey All,
When typing in the search bar I get different product categories depending on the setting of the redirect/synonyms/category attributes.
How do I though control the order of how these product categories show?
Example below:
I type helmets and I want "All Helmets" to show as first, "Full Face" as second, etc.
Thank you very much!
When we search for 'Firstname Lastname cases' (eg Hanna Sandoval cases), it seemingly randomly decides to filter Cases by Contacts = Hanna Sandoval or User = Hanna Sandoval.
Salesforce R&D says it's working as designed, but I just don't understand the response. It seems to randomly use User or Contact. And as @Service Cloud Users I of course would like it to behave the way it used to, before Spring 23 release, finding cases where that person is the Owner of the cases searched. I could argue either way, but I find it extremely frustrating that the behavior is not reliable.
Anyone else have issues with this?
Mar 23, 2023, 2:35 PM @Mukund Ramachandran thank you, I appreciate it. You can see examples of the different search results in the case. And there doesn't seem to be any consistency whatsoever.
Why would a search for the term "test" produce search results with a knowledge article that highlights the word "scripts?" Why is this so off? What can I do about it?

Sep 23, 2022, 4:04 PM It would be part of the Salesforce standard group. You can test by disable then search again.
From what I have found, currently you can select which fields are searchable in each object under Search Manager, and with the new Assign Objects You Want Einstein to Search, you can determine which objects auto populate in your search results without having to pre-select the object or even hit enter. But the only field that you can search by (without having to hit enter and be redirected to the search results page) is the Name field on the object. I want to allow users to search by a text field (that contains an account #), and those results auto populate in the global search bar before they hit enter, just as it does with the Name field in the newly enabled Assign Objects You Want Einstein to Search beta feature. Is this possible today?
Sep 14, 2022, 5:14 PM @Kelsea Slater I ended up reaching out to support. Was told that for my org, the values in the lookup/relationship fields are not searchable for custom objects. I want our user to be able to search for a customer & only have that customer plus related policies appear, so as it stands right now for the global search to return our custom object "Policy" results when the related Account Name is searched, a separate custom text field would have to be created. Apparently you can use data loader to populate the custom field so I might try later.

Hi All,
Einstein Search Answers, our newest Pilot feature, can help you answer questions like the one below by typing a natural language query in the search bar.
Einstein Search Answers uses our machine learning models to extract the deeper meaning behind the query and searches for the most relevant passage across all Knowledge Articles in your org. The answer is then shown at the top of your search results, so no need to click into the article and scroll down until you find the passage that matches your question.
If you are interested in trying the feature out, please email us (tryeinsteinsearch@salesforce.com) and we will reach out to you directly with more details.

Salesforce is investing in improving Knowledge Search through a Pilot called Einstein Search for Knowledge (ES4K). If you want to participate in the pilot email me at pgomes@salesforce.com.

For any question related to the pilot, let me know.
I have an Account with Name "ATALANTE". When I do a SOSL Query with filter "ATALANTA", the account is still returned. It looks like SOSL does not search only exact matches.
Can someone explain this? I cannot find any article or documentation that explains this behavior, and I need to provide official explanation to my client. Thank you
Sep 24, 2021, 9:22 AM Hi Marc,
You can find references to this behaviour in trailhead. It mentions that SOSL search does fuzzy match
https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/database_basics_dotnet/sosl_queries
Also you can go through the below links

I'm not sure what's up with the Online Help Search => https://help.salesforce.com/
But sometimes it does not return any Documentation Results, even when there are TONS of Online Help Docs on the topic. Worse, selecting Documentation in the sidebar is not an option
