Hi all,

I've been Googling and not exactly finding any specific answers, so I'm curious if anyone else has tried to get rid of the swipe up "Recent Activity" timeline that shows when viewing an Account in Salesforce Mobile?

It's a nice feature to have, but the way we need to show some custom Activity Reports conflicts slightly, so I'd like to either change what information displays in that swipe up OR just remove it completely. Anyone else ever try this?

Thank you!

Dylan

Getting blank screen after I install salesforce app and click on "I Accept"  button in Perfecto android devices.

The perfecto team specified the black screen caused by the Android Secure Screen feature is an OS level security feature.

Looking for some guidance to move forward for testing our flow. Even I tried download the android apk manually from salesfoce site - , and the same issue.

Anyone know what determines the number of recent activities displayed in the Salesforce mobile app?  I am unable to find this information.  The amount of Recent Activities being displayed in our Salesforce mobile app on the account page is not consistent.  I see one account in mobile displays  11 Past due and recent activities through 11-07-2025, while a different account shows only 6 total through July 28, 2026. both accounts have several more activities in the desktop.

Hi Bobbie — this comes down to a couple of documented mobile-app behaviors rather than a single setting:

    1. The mobile Activity Timeline is capped per section. In the Salesforce mobile app it shows up to 8 activities in the "Upcoming & Overdue" section and up to 8 in the "Past" section by default (so a record can show up to ~16 combined). That's why mobile never shows the full history that desktop does — desktop pages through everything; mobile is capped. Your "11" is both sections combined, the "6" is a record with fewer qualifying activities.

    2. Einstein Activity Capture (EAC) activities don't render on the mobile timeline. Emails and events captured via EAC show on the desktop timeline but are not displayed on the mobile activity timeline. If your org uses EAC (very common), that alone explains "several more activities on desktop." And because each account has a different mix of EAC-captured vs. manually-logged activities, the visible mobile counts differ account to account — exactly the inconsistency you're describing.

    3. The split matters: "Upcoming & Overdue" holds open/past-due tasks and events, while "Past" holds completed ones. An account with lots of overdue open tasks can look busier than one whose activities are mostly completed, even though both are subject to the same cap.

    4. Filter and search aren't supported in the mobile timeline, so you can't expand or re-query it the way you can on desktop.

Net: it isn't one configurable number — it's the 8-per-section mobile cap combined with which activities are EAC-captured (hidden on mobile) vs standard. To reconcile a specific account, open it on desktop and check whether the "extra" activities are Einstein Activity Capture emails/events — those are the ones that won't cross over to mobile.

Hi, I second with Nikita's answer with addition if only few users are experiencing this issue then I would recommend them to clear app's cache or reinstalling the app.

Hi Everyone

Custom SLDS Modal Opens at the Top of the Page in Salesforce Mobile App

I have a custom LWC that uses a standard SLDS modal (<section class="slds-modal slds-fade-in-open">). The modal works correctly on desktop.

However, in the Salesforce Mobile App, when I scroll down and click a card near the bottom of the page, the modal is displayed at the top of the page instead of appearing in the current viewport where the user clicked. As a result, I have to manually scroll up to view and interact with the modal

We're paying for Mobile Plus feature licenses, but no user has had a successful download of data from the full sandbox where we're testing the Salesforce Mobile Plus license and Briefcase builder.  It always errors and is nonfunctional.

To answer the obvious questions: Yes, permission set and permission set license are assigned; new briefcase with just a single record on a standard object is configured and assigned; we cleared cache, uninstalled the mobile app, re-installed, re-authenticated.

Even the briefcase with just 1 Contact or just 1 Account still fails with an error message.

Salesforce support did a screen recording session with me today, confirmed our settings and we walked through the above steps again - they have no idea.

Is this a non-functional (paid) product, or are there other steps that neither Salesforce support nor we know about on how to get the Salesforce Mobile Plus feature licenses to be functional with offline briefcases? Are there common issues with known resolutions? Searching here and on the web haven't yielded any helpful information yet.

Yes - we wanted just one license to try it out and the request for a temporary/courtesy license was refused. The only offer was to buy a few at full retail price - it took several days of working with Salesforce Support before they found that it's effectively non functional until we staff of to do the work ourselves... at which point I figure it might be simpler to just build our own custom Android/iOS App leveraging briefcases and save all the cost of the "Mobile+" license.

I support users around the world where there's low connectivity; but even in the US there is "airplane mode" that is necessary regularly. Offline access is not an edge case. It's a core use case.

Meanwhile Field Service Mobile works offline and even has offline flow capabilities - but has it's own licensing cost that's prohibitive outside of it's primary use cases.

Hi. I have created a new Briefcase, created the data and assigned it to a user. I also tested the assigned user and it looks like the data filters are working.  Now i have added the new connected app to it. My question is how i can use this new connected app to use this briefcase functionality.

I don't want to use below :-

  • The Field Service mobile app for iOS and Android
  • Salesforce Mobile App Plus

Please suggest without the above app , how we can use briefcase for offline record fetch directly from connected app.

    @David Hastie

Reiterating 3 years later. I have license, system permission, briefcase assigned to my user and profile, Salesforce for Android app assigned to briefcase. Briefcase Run As User shows that the briefcase is assigned to my user.

But when in Salesforce mobile app in Offline Mode, the only records that sync are Assets. Everything else says "We hit a snag. We couldn't download your records."

The downloadable app logs show that only recently viewed records are fetched and it says

    "usingBriefcase":false

Hey,

To what extend Briefcase and LWCs work in Salesforce Mobile App Plus without switching to Offline Mode entirely?

We'd like to preserve the home page as per our Lightning App and use LWCs, however it doesn't seem that this is working or I have set something wrong. Even Briefcase records doesn't seem to be primed outside of offline mode, is that right?

Kind Regards

Hi, to take advantage of these features, users must switch entirely to Offline Mode; it cannot be seamlessly mixed with the standard online Lightning App experience.

We have custom branded our mobile app whereby our users would see our companies designated Red as banner at the top records and menus.  Last week the app updated and all of the custom branding within the app is gone.  This impacts our user training documents and videos that all includes our set branding on the app images that has disappeared.  How do we get the branding back as it no longer reflects company branding the way it did before?

     1. Clear the App Cache

     2. Check the App Manager "Org Theme" Override

     3. Verify Salesforce Mobile App Branding Settings

     4. If Using Mobile Publisher

Hello, Pardon on naive question but I am now starting with LSC with very limited knowledge. I have a user setup and in ipad I am able to sync user in LSC app. Most of the things work fine except for that Homepage in LSC app is absolutely blank. However in online version I can see components. I tried different components and none of them are visible.
