After many years of working with Salesforce, one change I’m seeing clearly is the shift from traditional CRM automation toward AI-driven, agent-based solutions.

With Agentforce, Data 360, Flow, Apex, and AI agents becoming more connected, I’d love to hear from the Trailblazer Community:

What Salesforce skill do you believe will be the most important for professionals over the next 2–3 years — Agentforce, Data 360, Apex/LWC, Integration, or something else?

And more importantly, why?

Looking forward to learning from your experiences and perspectives.

Thanks, @Vishal Soni, @Robbie Duncan, @Kundan Kumar Jha

    for sharing your thoughts!

I agree that Data 360 is becoming an important skill, especially as Agentforce depends on accurate and trusted data.

At the same time, I feel Apex, Flow, LWC, and Integration will continue to play an important role in real-time projects.

Robbie also raised a good point about AI and context engineering. Knowing how to guide and evaluate AI agents will become increasingly valuable.

My view is that learning one technology is not enough anymore. Understanding how Data 360, Agentforce, and other Salesforce technologies work together will be the real advantage.

Thanks again for making this a valuable discussion!

Hello.

We had activated the Salesforce native account plan however, the lack of some customization does not make it useful for us.

Is anyone using

https://www.demandfarm.com/blog/best-quip-alternative-for-account-planning/?

What is your general feedback on this? For example we would like the ability to customize org charts.

Likes?

Dislikes?

Thank you,

Nancy

    Hi Nancy,

Based on current market reviews (Gartner, G2, Capterra) rather than personal use, here's an honest picture on DemandFarm specifically for org chart customization:

Strengths reported: DemandFarm's Org Chart module is consistently rated among the strongest on AppExchange (5/5 rating cited across review sites) — it auto-builds org charts from Salesforce contacts, supports drag-and-drop editing, auto-syncs when contacts/titles/account team assignments change in Salesforce, and lets you set rules for which fields display to reduce clutter. It's also genuinely native — plans, org charts, and whitespace data live as Salesforce objects tied to your Accounts/Contacts/Opportunities, not an external tool bolted on.

    Things worth knowing before committing:

    - Licensing is modular. Org Chart, Account Planner, and Opportunity Planner are often licensed separately, so pin down exactly which modules your quote includes — people frequently report higher-than-expected total cost from assuming one module included the others.

    - It's built for large/strategic key accounts. Reviews note it can feel like overkill if you're managing a broad, lighter book of business rather than a focused set of strategic accounts — worth confirming it matches your actual account portfolio size/complexity.

    - On G2, head-to-head against

    Prolifiq.ai

CRUSH, reviewers rated Prolifiq somewhat higher overall (4.7 vs 4.4) and preferred its feature roadmap direction, though DemandFarm's org chart specifically remains well-regarded in isolation.

Other org-chart-capable alternatives worth comparing against, since you're evaluating options:

    - Prolifiq CRUSH / Prolifiq Relationship Map — fully native to Salesforce (not just integrated), straightforward drag-and-drop org chart builder directly on the account page.

    - ARPEDIO — similar strategic account planning focus to DemandFarm, also Salesforce-native.

    - Squivr — specifically for org chart/hierarchy visualization if that's your primary need rather than full account planning.

Given your stated need is specifically org chart customization (not necessarily the full KAM suite), it may be worth demoing Prolifiq's org chart module alongside DemandFarm's — several reviewers rate it as a simpler, fully-native alternative if you don't need DemandFarm's broader account-planning/whitespace features.

This is a weird one.

The Country/Territory Picklist setup shows "Brasil"

Discrepancy between country setup and what shows up on address field

When I edit the billing address on the account, the country picklist value shows "Brazil"

image.png

This is not a custom field, it's the standard account billing address field.

Checking out all the objects I know use address fields, custom or standard, I see the same issue.

Checking out other countries where we renamed the original out of the box value, I do not see a problem. It's just Brazil.

I am not sure where to fix this, since the address setup is, to my knowledge, not customisable.

Edited to add: I have checked to see if by some weird happening, we have some other country set up with the name Brazil. We do not.

Also Brasil does not show up as an option.

Second Edit: I checked the translation workbench for countries, no translation set up for Brasil (which does show up correctly)

Yes, there. If you update the label for Brazil there, does it show as you update it when you create an address or do you see Brazil?

I've done this experiment in my personal dev and it showed the new label, so it doesn't seem to be Salesforce-wide

  • What study methods or techniques work best for you? ( Pomodoro technique, hands-on org practice, taking detailed notes, flashcards)
  • What external resources do you use alongside Trailhead? (e.g., practice exams, study groups, documentation)
  • How much time do you dedicate daily or weekly to stay consistent without burning out?

    Hi Pablo,

You can try below approach that consistently works for the Admin cert:

    1. Start with the official Salesforce Exam Guide, not a course or video series. It's the actual blueprint, breaks down every exam section with its weightage (e.g. Configuration & Setup, Security & Access, Standard/Custom Objects, Sales & Marketing Applications, Service & Support Applications, Activity Management, Data & Analytics Management, Workflow/Process Automation). Study time should roughly mirror those weightings, not be spread evenly.

Official Trailhead cert prep trail (mirrors the exam guide section by section):

    https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/trails/administrator-certification-prep

    2. Hands-on Trailhead Playground practice beats passive reading for this exam specifically, since most questions are scenario-based ("what would you configure to achieve X"), not definition-recall. For every module you complete, immediately redo the same task from memory in a fresh Playground without the guide open.

    3. Use Trailhead's own interactive scenario/flashcard trail alongside the modules, it's built specifically for this exam and reinforces recall through spaced repetition rather than just re-reading:

    https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/trails/administrator-certification-prep

(same trail includes these interactive study tools)

    4. Join the Trailblazer Community and look for/join a Study Group, Salesforce runs official Admin Study Group sessions periodically that walk through each exam section live, this is Salesforce-endorsed prep, not third-party.

    5. Pomodoro (25-30 min focused blocks) works well specifically because Setup pages and declarative tools have a lot of small, easy-to-conflate settings (e.g. sharing rules vs manual sharing vs role hierarchy), short focused sessions per topic reduce mixing concepts up.

    6. Time commitment: Salesforce recommends 6-12 months of hands-on admin experience before attempting this exam, if you're studying alongside real job exposure, 5-8 focused hours/week is a realistic sustainable pace without burning out; if studying without daily hands-on org access, lean toward more Playground time relative to reading time to compensate.

    7. Don't skip the Certification Program Agreement and exam policies page before exam day, format/logistics questions catch people off guard on exam day itself, not just content:

    https://trailhead.salesforce.com/content/learn/modules/administrator-certification-prep-setup-and-objects/get-started-with-administrator-certification-prep

Good luck, this is a very achievable cert with consistent Playground practice.

Hello Trailblazers! 👋

My name is Enrique. I’ve been working at my company for 8 years as a Salesforce Admin—a role I’ve held since I joined.

While many teams across the company use Sales Cloud daily, and engineers in our Data Team build pipeline automations (via REST API) or analytics (Tableau), I am the sole person responsible for the platform itself, its architecture, and its administration.

While my official job title remains Salesforce Admin, my leadership and I agree that my actual responsibilities have long outgrown traditional administration. I’d love your objective take on where my profile sits in the market based on my day-to-day work:

  • End-to-End Architecture & Data Modeling: Fully design and manage the data model (custom objects, complex relationships), security framework (roles, profiles, permission sets), and platform governance for Sales Cloud (~37 users and growing).

  • ERP Integrations & Technical Leadership: Conceptualized and designed the data flow architecture between Salesforce and ERPs (NetSuite, FinancialForce/Certinia, Sage). I led the implementation project alongside 2 software engineers, building all the Salesforce-side components (Objects, Flows, Apex, LWC).

  • Business Analysis & Business Impact: Direct partner to cross-functional stakeholders (Finance, Data, Product). I translate business needs into technical solutions, eliminating manual operations and measurably improving key company operational metrics.

  • Complex Data Migrations: Led and executed full data and org migrations from external systems (SugarCRM) and handled org-to-org consolidations following company acquisitions.

  • Data Quality, Security & Governance: Fully manage AppExchange tools like Cloudingo (data cleansing/deduplication) and Cloudally (backups/disaster recovery). Currently technical lead for implementing data privacy/compliance (GDPR) frameworks on the platform.

  • ALM & Delivery: Manage environment strategy using a Full Sandbox for testing and deployment via Outbound Change Sets.

  • Declarative + Programmatic Balance: 80% advanced declarative solutions (Flows) + 20% programmatic development (Apex / LWC).

We are currently reviewing my job title.

Based on this scope, how would you classify my role and job title in today’s Salesforce market?

Thank you so much for your feedback! ☁️❤️ 🚀

You're welcome, Enrique — glad it helped clarify things. Best of luck with the title review, and feel free to post again once you've got clarity on cert paths or the new title, happy to help further.

Hello.

We have a field Work_Type__c picklist field on the Milestone object that references a Picklist value set. We want to instead add picklist values manually. Is this conversion possible or do I have to create a new pick list field and then add my picklist values manually?

Thank you,

Nancy

    Hi Nancy,

No, you can't convert it  — Salesforce doesn't provide a button/toggle in Setup to switch a picklist from "uses a Global Value Set" to "enter values manually"

(or vice versa) for an existing field.

Go to Setup → Object Manager → Your Object → Fields & Relationships → Your Field

    Click Edit

You'll see the picklist is tied to a Global Value Set — there is

    no option

here to detach it and switch to manual values. This choice is locked in at field creation and isn't editable afterward.

Hi Nancy, No, you can't convert it — Salesforce doesn't provide a button/toggle in Setup to switch a picklist from

Hello.

We have turned on Account Plans in our Sandbox environment. For the Relationship Map we would like to somehow show a parallel org chart. For example. The CEO of Google and the CEO of our company Syska Hennessy Group. Is this possible?

It seems that the native Salesforce Account plans is limited regarding customization.

Please let me know if further information is needed.

Is there another account plans tool that is recommended that offers more flexibility to make customizations?

Thank you,

Nancy

@Nancy MagalhaesOne limitation I’d consider is the underlying data model: the native Relationship Map is primarily account/contact relationship-focused, so a true side-by-side “customer org + our internal org” hierarchy is difficult to maintain dynamically.

If this is a recurring sales use case, I’d model the internal stakeholders and customer contacts as related records with an explicit relationship type (Decision Maker, Executive Sponsor, Account Owner, etc.), then surface those relationships through a custom LWC. That would keep the visualization data-driven instead of relying on manually added cards, while still keeping everything inside Salesforce.
