Hi Trailblazer Community,

I’m actively looking for a Salesforce Administrator position but haven’t found the right opportunity yet. I have two years of hands-on experience and hold three Salesforce certifications:

  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder

I’m also a Trailhead Ranger. I would appreciate your guidance on how to find and apply for Salesforce Admin roles, strengthen my profile, build meaningful connections, and improve my chances of getting hired.

Thank you for your support!

    Hi @Jignesh Prasad,

You already have a strong foundation with your certifications, hands-on experience, and Trailhead Ranger status. I would recommend focusing on practical projects and real-world scenarios

and showcasing them on your resume and LinkedIn.

Also, keep networking with Salesforce professionals, participate in the Trailblazer Community, and apply consistently to relevant Admin roles. Referrals and a strong practical portfolio can make a big difference.

All the best with your job search! 👍

I am trying to complete a Superbadge and followed the instructions to access the challenges. As part of the process, I signed up for a free Developer Edition org with the required special configuration.

After signing up, I received an email to reset my password. However, I have a concern: during the signup process, I was never asked to set any security questions. Now, while resetting the password, it is asking me to answer a security question (for example, “What is your pet’s name”).

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

Hi Everyone :) I am looking at moving into SAAS sales coming from retail industry (Tech) as a Channel Account Executive (4 years F2F sales consultant & 4 years AE). Has anyone here made similar career changes? Any tips or advice?

So i made a similar jump a few years back and the biggest thing was translating my retail wins into SaaS language—focus on metrics like quota attainment, upsell %, and relationship management. Learn the basics of common SaaS models (MRR, ARR, churn) and get familiar with CRM tools like Salesforce so you can speak the lingo in interviews. Networking with current SaaS AEs on LinkedIn helped me a ton.

I can't change the name of this field from Custom to Sales Region. The option to type doesn't appear, and a drop-down menu appears. What can I do?

Hi José! This usually happens when the Trailhead challenge expects you to use a specific field type or follow a particular configuration step.

If the field label is showing as a dropdown instead of allowing you to type, double-check that you’re editing the correct field in the correct object and that you’re following the challenge instructions exactly. Also make sure you’re using the special Developer Edition org connected to the Trailhead challenge.

If you share the name of the Trailhead module/superbadge and the exact step you’re stuck on, the community may be able to point you to the specific configuration you need. 👍

I've just implemented the Nebula Logger in my Salesforce org and I'm curious if I really need to bring over Log__c, LogEntry__c, and LogEntryEvent__e for full visibility? I'm just logging the exception in APEX. It appears that the LogEntryEvent__e will contain all the details I need and that the other Logging records form a redundancy or duplicate reporting. Doing a cost benefit analysis what would the company lose and gain by this decision and would it just be best to send all the object records through?      Side note is the LogEntryEvent__e really being sent over to Datadog in realtime or is it being queried on a scheduled bases? It appears to be the later one in my observation, but curious to get confirmation.

Great question, Brandon. From a cost/benefit perspective, I’d avoid sending every Nebula Logger record to Datadog without first confirming which level of detail your monitoring and troubleshooting actually require.

If you’re primarily interested in exception visibility, LogEntryEvent__e may provide the event-level information you need, while Log__c and LogEntry__c can be valuable for retaining and correlating the broader logging context within Salesforce. Sending everything could improve traceability but may also increase data volume, storage, and Datadog ingestion costs.

For the realtime vs. scheduled question, I’d verify the specific Nebula Logger/Datadog integration implementation and configuration rather than assuming from the object type alone. Platform Events can be delivered asynchronously, but the integration architecture determines whether Datadog receives them immediately or through a polling/scheduled process.

Interested to hear what others have observed with this integration as well!

Today I completed another important milestone in my Salesforce journey by earning the Intermediate Administrator badge on Trailhead.

Over the past months, I’ve been consistently improving my Admin skills, exploring Flow automation and learning more about how Salesforce can support better processes and user experiences.

Coming from a background in Languages and Education, I’ve been enjoying the challenge of combining communication, organization and technology throughout this transition into the ecosystem.

At this stage, I’d really like to hear from experienced professionals:

What would you consider the most important next steps for someone preparing to land a first Junior Salesforce Admin opportunity?

I’d genuinely appreciate your insights and recommendations.
