The Trailblazer Community forums go read-only today, Oct 30.

In case it’s helpful, here’s a quick summary of what’s changing:

  • Oct 30, 2026: The forums become read-only. Existing threads stay searchable, but new posts are closed.
  • November 2026: The new Trailblazer Community on Slack goes live. It’s free, needs no paid Slack license, and you sign in with your Trailblazer ID.
  • Early 2027: Accepted answers from Slack product channels will start syncing back to the web.

A couple of things Salesforce recommends before launch: link your Trailblazer ID to a personal email rather than a work one, so your community profile stays with you. And if Slack is blocked at work, you can join from a personal device.

Trailhead learning isn’t changing. Modules, badges and certs all stay as they are.

I’m really grateful to the forums and everyone who’s been part of them. Like many of you, I learned a lot of Salesforce by searching an error message and finding that someone had kindly answered it years ago. Answering questions there taught me even more, and I’m thankful for every conversation along the way.

A heartfelt thank you to the MVPs, Forum Ambassadors, and every admin, developer and architect who took the time to help a stranger. You’re the reason this community works, and I’m looking forward to learning alongside you all on Slack.

We need the Code field in a Reference 360 Code List to be automatically assigned using a sequential number.

Users create records manually through the Reference 360 UI and batch cycles , and we need the Code value to be generated automatically from a Shared Sequence.

If someone has implemented this requirement, could you please share the recommended approach?

Hi Paulino, I don't think Reference 360 supports assigning Code values from a Shared Sequence out of the box. You may need to generate the values before the records are created, using an integration or API. The tricky part is making sure manual entries and batch jobs use the same sequence without duplicates.

Hi All - I am on my way to be an Agentforce Legend, I have connect my org to slack and got approval from my salesforce org and even actuvated from slack appliaction as a new user what all are the steps that i am missing here.

1. Approval from slack done

2. Approval from Salesforce org done.

3. Install Packages used for slack.

4. Used necessary slack subagents and actions done.

Only the difference is the username used in Slack creation org is

Jone.done@gmail.com, where as while dealing with "Configure a Slack Agent in Salesforce" I am using email as Jone.slack@gmail.com

Following to the above i think agentforce should be approved in slack and activated which we are missing per Google AI

I’m working with a Salesforce Flow that processes a relatively large number of records, and I’m looking for ways to improve its performance and reliability.

The Flow currently performs several record queries and updates during execution. As the amount of data increases

,

the Flow takes longer to complete and can sometimes approach Salesforce governor limits.

What are some recommended approaches for optimizing a Flow in this situation? For example, would reducing Get Records operations, using collections more effectively, or moving some logic to Apex help?

I’d appreciate any practical suggestions or best practices for designing scalable Salesforce Flows.

The first thing to check is whether the Flow is querying or updating records inside a loop. That can quickly become a problem as record volumes grow.

A few things that usually help:

    • Move Get Records and Update Records operations outside loops wherever possible.
    • Use record collections to process multiple records together instead of updating them one at a time.
    • Filter queries carefully and retrieve only the fields and records you need.
    • If the logic involves complex processing or large data volumes, consider Apex or Batch Apex. Salesforce Flow isn’t always the best fit for every workload.

One other thing to consider: if a significant part of the Flow handles lead-to-account matching or lead assignment, you may be able to move that responsibility to a dedicated tool rather than maintaining all the logic in Flow. LeadAngel, for example, handles lead-to-account matching, deduplication, and lead routing alongside Salesforce. That won't fix inefficient Flow queries directly, but it may help simplify the routing and matching logic your team needs to maintain.

I’d start by checking the Flow’s debug details and identifying which queries or updates are consuming the most resources before deciding whether to refactor it or move part of the processing to Apex.

Hello, how are you all?

Now to participate in the community you have to use Slack, I haven't done that challenge, do we have to download it or is it integrated in Trailblazer? Thanks

    Hello @Martha Cobos

No, you do not have to download the Slack desktop application to participate.

The transition of the Salesforce Trailblazer Community entirely to Slack means you can access the platform entirely through your web browser without installing anything on your computer.

Hi All,

Would someone be able to send me a link to the Ohana Slack Channel please?

Many Thanks,

Imtiaz

Currently, I am preparing for my Slack Certified Admin exam. I joined online forums and communities to gain useful information from experts. I took Slack Certified Admin practice test from p2pexams. By taking this practice material I noticed a huge improvement in my concepts related to the final test. Now I feel that I can perform better in the final exam after practicing with this practice test material.

Does anyone want to share other resources regarding Slack Certified Admin exam preparation?

Hi @Mark Walmart in therms of resources there is not much to be honest:

Hi all 👋

I've spent the last few weeks building a Slack app that watches public channels, detects when a thread has been resolved, and automatically saves the resolution as searchable team knowledge. The next time someone asks something similar, the bot surfaces the past answer right in the thread (or via DM, if you ask it directly).

The app has cleared all of Slack's automated marketplace checks except one: the platform requires installs across 5 active workspaces before a marketplace submission can be reviewed. Asking the developer community here because you're the people most likely to get the gate and have the right context to give meaningful feedback.

What I'm asking for:

  • Install ResolveOS on a Slack workspace you admin (test workspace is fine, real workspace is even better)
  • Use it for ~7 days so I can hit the "active workspace" bar
  • Share any feedback that comes up — bugs, friction, "why on earth did you build it like that"

  What you get in return:

  • Free lifetime access for early testers — locked in before any pricing goes live
  • A 30-minute Zoom call with me to install the app together, walk through the AI pipeline (resolution detection → summarisation → semantic embeddings → DM Q&A), and answer any questions while we're live. I'll handle every step on screenshare so you don't lift a finger past clicking "Authorize."
  • Direct line to me for any issues over the testing period

Quick technical notes for anyone curious:

  • Built on TanStack Start, PostgreSQL + pgvector for semantic search, OpenAI for resolution detection / summarisation / embeddings
  • Auto-joins every public channel on install (rate-limit-aware, resumable across restarts) and subscribes to channel_created for ongoing coverage
  • Sign in with Slack (OIDC) for the web inbox at app.resolveos.co

If you're up for it, comment below or DM me with your timezone and I'll send a Calendly link for the 30-minute install call. Happy to answer any questions about the app or the marketplace process here too.

Thanks for reading 🙏  — Adam

This actually sounds pretty useful. Turning old Slack answers into searchable knowledge could save a lot of digging around. The 7-day beta sounds worth trying.

If you have taken the Salesforce Certified Slack Consultant exam:  How did you study?  Did you take a class from ???    If you took a class and was not happy with , please let me know which class you took?  I am thinking about taking the exam - any helpful tips would be appreciated.
