I can't work out why Users with the "Standard User Profile" are getting a permission error message when they try and use the "Manage Household" function. The error message says:

Error: You do not have permission to modify Contact.nsp__Current_Address__c

They still have access to other functions on the "Manage Household" Page and they can also modify the Contact's current address in the Contact Page.

So there must be something special related to this "Management" function - but I have no idea where to look to add the required permission. The users can freely create and edit the Contacts and Accounts in other ways.

View All Data will bypass the record sharing setup (OWD, role hierarchy, sharing rules and manual sharing). It does nothing else... it doesn't grant read access to fields and it doesn't give read access to the object. Please everyone learn what View All Daya does for you.

Muchas gracias

I need to create a report on Tasks that includes data from the contact and account records. One of the main fields my colleagues want to see is the 'Related to' field from the Task. But, while the field shows up in a general 'Tasks and Events' report, it is not available in either an 'Activities and Contacts' or 'Activities and Accounts' report.

I found this article (

https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000213566&type=1

) that should fix this but my instance was already 'fixed' in this manor and the field is still not showing up.

Is there something else that would prevent this from being reportable?

@David Okner Hi, I would also like like to understand why  the standard report "Activities and Contacts" doesn't show the "Related To" field.  Thanks!

Has anyone had success adding anchor links into text on a Communities Cloud page? I found this article (https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000171473&type=1) but it looks like this feature is no longer available. Are there any other workarounds that might work? Thanks!

I had the same problem and here's how I solved it:

    1. Add an HTML Editor component.
    2. Fill that component with an empty div with the anchor name: <div id="anchor_name"></div>
    3. Then refer to the anchor in a link on that page using "#anchor_name" (or "http://www.website.com/#anchor_name"

Try to 'Create self-signed certificate' instead. This button is available on the setup page of the Certificate and Key management page.

I volunteer for OzHarvest in Australia and we use V4S. Moving to Lightning Experience hasn't made any obvious improvements for my work at this stage - I found Classic already very fast to use. However there is 1 thing which has slowed me down.

In Classic view, in a List View of volunteer contacts, I can choose how many contacts I can view at any time on the page (bottom left corner), and I choose the largest possible (200). This allows me to use Ctrl-F (find in Chrome) to quickly go to the contact I wish. I cannot do this in LE. It seems I must use the scroll bar (PgDn does not work) to scroll to the end to load all the contacts in the view, & I can then use Ctrl-F efficiently. BUT, if I choose to sort on another field, I must scroll to the bottom all over again to list all contacts on the webpage. Not really a fast experience for me, but a much slower one!

Hi Sharon, not really. But I did find that the PgDn and PgUp buttons worked if you first clicked inside the list view very near the scroll bar after loading - it was a matter, it seems, of window/panel focus. Using PgDn made it a bit faster to load the rows as you moved to the bottom of the list. If Salesforce would load these new rows much faster, the problem would mostly go away, but even with very fast internet, there is so much rendering/searching (?) by SF, that it is not as responsive as it ought to be, in my opinion.  Also, now, instead of Ctrl-F, I use the search bar in the top right of the list view.  But, if you decide to sort by another field, you still need to start again.

I need to import Accounts, Contact, and opportunities. Can these be imported separately? I mean Accounts separately, Contacts separately and so on...

Hello all - I've been testing enhanced notes in our sandbox.I want to move from our old way of taking notes (we adapted "Events", under Activities, to be "Notes") and start using enhanced notes. However, I tried reporting on enhanced notes in my sandbox and nothing comes up. I noticed the info on enhanced notes reporting is blank: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=notes_create_report.htm&language=th&type=0  Also, I noticed that the rich-text editor for notes has been changed to Quill: http://releasenotes.docs.salesforce.com/en-us/spring17/release-notes/rn_sales_other_changes_notes_new_editor.htm

How will this impact us? Can I report on Enhanced Notes now?

Anyone know?

@Laura Derby- Did you happen to find an idea for us to vote to have Enhanced Notes reportable?  It's a great feature but without reporting capabilities, our clients are not likely going to benefit from this feature.  Thanks!
