I am curious to hear how everyone is deploying updates to data processing engines.  We currently use DevOps Center and it is a struggle to say the least for deploying these. The issues we face:

  • New fields referenced in the data processing engine cannot be deployed WITH the data processing engine.  They must be deployed before or created directly in the target environment
  • Because DPE's do not support versions, we have to deactivate one in order to deploy the latest updates.

I feel like I need to join a Data Processing Engine support group.

Hi All,     We have a 10 year contract for a customer that we're going to manage with a Sales Agreement. We'd like to manage it with monthly schedules, but with the limitation of 72 schedules, it sounds like that means we can only do Sales Agreements monthly for 6 years. We could contact Salesforce to increase this limit to 100, but who knows if down the road we encounter a 15 or 20 year contract.     Is the best way to manage agreements monthly that are over 6 years to break them up into multiple Sales Agreements? Like two 5-year agreements?

I ended up creating some customization for this. I created a custom object called "Large Sales Agreement," and a flow screen tied to an action on the Sales Agreement called "Extend Sales Agreement."

When selected, I collect a little information from the user, but it works very similar to Renewing, except my flow creates a Large Sales Agreement record, and adds the two Sales Agreements together as child records to it.

Then I displayed a flow screen component on that Sales Agreement that displays a datatable of the two Sales Agreements and their totals, allowing my user to see the total Sales Agreement value of any Sales Agreements tied to my Large Sales Agreement.

If the user chooses to extend again, then the third Sales Agreement gets added and so on.

Hello,    We are planning to utilize the capabilities of Salesforce Manufacturing Cloud with a customer who is using an LWR community. Has anyone had experience integrating Manufacturing Cloud with LWR? I haven’t been able to find any references confirming whether the Business Rules Engine can be used within an LWR community.    Thanks in advance!

Hello everyone -   Does anyone have suggestions or guidance as to solutions available in the Manufacturing cloud (or other) around capturing inspection data both at the point of production (machines) and by batch (Final Inspection).  Ultimately, the process would include creating (or interfacing with a CAD software) to create ballooned prints and then be available for data capture.    Much appreciated!   @* Manufacturing Cloud & Rebate Mgmt *

You can leverage Action Plans and Assessment Tasks to manage and capture inspection data. Action Plans can be used to capture high-level inspection information, while Assessment Tasks

can represent the individual activities or step-by-step checks performed during the inspection process.

Additionally, if inspections are executed as part of a planned onsite or remote engagement, Visits can be utilized to align the inspection with an overall visit plan and provide better scheduling, tracking, and execution visibility.

Hello

I am new to Manufacturing cloud so my question is perhaps not relevant.

In the documentation,  and in Trailhead,  the claim object is always presented as a request by a partner to be compensated.

Is it the same object that can be used if we want the customer to enter directly a claims via  Experience cloud by example ?

and what is the role of the "partner fund claim"  vs the claim object ?

Regards

Jérôme

    Hi @Jerome Devemy

The claim object in Manufacturing Cloud is primarily used for warranty claims. It represents a warranty claim submitted by a partner to a manufacturer or a supplier recovery claim submitted by the manufacturer to a supplier.

This object can also be configured to allow customers to submit claims directly via an Experience Cloud site. This involves setting up related objects like Claim, Claim Item, Claim Coverage, Claim Coverage Payment Details, and Claim Participant. Manufacturers can also create claims on behalf of partners if needed.

    For more details, refer:

    Capture Warranty Claims

The "Partner Fund Claim" is a separate concept used in the context of Market Development Funds (MDF). It allows partners to submit claims for reimbursement of marketing expenses or other fund-related activities.

Partner Fund Claims are managed through the Partner Central Experience Cloud site. Channel Account Managers (CAMs) or financial departments can approve and reimburse these claims.

For more details, refer: Configure Partner Fund Claims

    Key Differences:

    • The Claim Object is used for warranty or supplier recovery claims, while the Partner Fund Claim is specific to Market Development Funds and partner reimbursements.
    • Both can be configured for use in Experience Cloud, but their purposes and workflows differ.

    Hope this helps. Thanks!
