#Campaign0 discussing

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if anyone here uses outreach.io My company recently integrated outreach.io into our Salesforce and I am having a difficult time getting outreach created tasks and events on both lead and contact records to link properly to Salesforce campaigns. Outreach has suggested making a "text field" but as an admin I know that won't create the true connection to the campaign record. Does anyone have any experience or work arounds to make this connection proper in outreach and Salesforce?

Hey Leah, I used to work for a company that uses outreach with salesforce. For some strange reason it wasn't salesforce causing the issues it was some "API" issue coming from outreach. I can ask around to see if they found a work around for you and send you any information I come across.

Hi, does anyone know how to prevent the hierarchy fields from showing duplicates?   Ideally these fields would add the total number of unique members from each respective child campaign rather than summing the total regardless if they are dups, no?   It's currently just adding all of the leads or contacts even if they are on multiple child campaigns.

Hello everybody, I have a need that I would like to share with you.

In salescloud I have to send an email with an ACCEPT CONTENT button to a group of users (about 2000).

When these Accounts accept the content of the email, a reply email is sent.

Finally I would like to track on each Account whether he sent the reply or not.

How would you do it? Would you use standard features? Do you know APPs that already do this job?  Thanks in advance.

Hi @Michele Tancorra - I dont think there would be any possible out of the box features for the requirement.

You can create a custom button the Account detail page and call your apex class to update on the Account using some checkbox field.

    Thanks

Hey Trailblazers,

I have a requirement to reroute recurring donations from a 2021 campaign to a new 2022 campaign. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. #Nonprofit #Nonprofit Success Pack #Campaign #Recurring Donation

Hi @Wes Reed, you wouldn't usually "route" the donations to the campaign. The campaign is used to capture the marketing initiative, so if the campaign was in 2021, those funds would continue to come in for 2022, but would not have their campaign changed.

In terms of allocating funds, you could look at using General Accounting Units (GAUs) - see more info here: https://powerofus.force.com/s/article/GEM-Set-Up-GAUs-for-Allocations

Let us know how you get on!

Thanks so much!  Can each #campaign member have a different description?  An example I have 2022 Hairstyles campaign.  Under the campaign, I add Allison Smith.  Can I add a description such as Allison wants blue hair?

I would like a related list of Campaigns the contact is a member of filtered by the type of campaign.

So all campaigns where Type = Fundraising.

The standard related list is called Campaign History.

Is the related list object  (Object API) Campaign or Campaign Member?

What settings should I use for

RelatedListNaje

Parent Field in Child Object

Filter

I'm a newbie to this. Thanks for any help.

Sure, here are a few screenshots for you - let me know if this helps. This example is with Campaigns of type Event rather than Fundraising

Under the details section under certain contacts, there is the section "Prospects lists" and it usually lets me add contacts to Pardot campaigns manually through there, but for some contacts this message shows up "Prospect could not be found matching fid: '0034x000001d1obAAA'". What does this mean and how can I fix this?

  • The Prior Donations is a checkbox already on the Campaign Member object.

I tried to add a Rollup field to the Campaign Object which Counts Campaign Memeber records but when attempting to Filter the results based on Prior Donations = TRUE, the Prior Donations field is not not available in the Filter Criteria Fields.

  • Is there something I need to do to make the field available so I can use it as a Filter in the Rollup?
  • If this can't be done, any suggestions on another solution?

The Checkbox field is actually a formula field (should have specified that) which I forgot can't be used in a Rollup. That being the case, what's the best way to update the field value so I can use it in the Rollup?  I'll also need to go back and update all the existing records.

Hi, I would like to make a report which tells me how many Contacts/Leads are in more than one Campaign of a particular type.

To give the context, my NGO works with petitions. People who have signed a petition are logged as Campaign Members (Leads or Contacts) of a Campaign with Type = Petition

In order to be in a Campaign of this record type, the Contact/Lead must have an email address. So, I created a report on Campaign Member and have grouped by email address (on the understanding that if an email address appears more than once in the report, then the Contact/Lead is in more than one Campaign.)

But how can I subsequently see how many email addresses are in the report in duplicate?

Or, maybe I am starting from the wrong report type!

Can you help me find how many Leads/Contacts have signed more than one petition?

    Thank you Justin and Steve.

I have grouped on ContactID/LeadID as well, but it still results in the error.

I wondered if instead I could use a roll-up field on the Contact/Lead object that shows how many campaigns with Type=petition.

Perhaps using Roll-up Helper or another app (if there is a good free one).

    What do you think?
