I need to automatically create a Chatter post on a Case whenever its pending approval request is reassigned to another user using the standard Reassign action. Since triggers and record-triggered flows aren't supported on ProcessInstanceWorkitem, and the Case itself doesn't change, I'm not sure how to capture this event. Has anyone solved this, whether with scheduled polling, a custom reassign component, or another approach? Any suggestions or sample code would be appreciated.

You’re correct that there isn’t a direct trigger point here. ProcessInstanceWorkitem doesn’t support Apex triggers or record-triggered flows, and reassigning the approval doesn’t update the Case itself.

If you need to keep the standard Reassign action, I’d handle it with scheduled Apex:

    1.  Run a scheduled job every few minutes.
    2.  Query new ProcessInstanceStep records where StepStatus = 'Reassigned'.
    3.  Use ProcessInstance.TargetObjectId to identify the related Case.
    4.  Query the pending ProcessInstanceWorkitem for that process instance to get the newly assigned ActorId.
    5.  Insert a FeedItem with the Case ID as ParentId.
    6.  Store the processed ProcessInstanceStep.Id in a small custom log object with a unique/external-ID field.
    7.  Skip any step already in that log so rerunning the job can’t create duplicate Chatter posts.

I’d also test it by reassigning the same approval twice and then running the job twice. The expected result should be two Chatter posts total, with no additional posts from the second job run.

If real-time posting is absolutely required, the other option is to replace the standard Reassign experience with a custom Flow/LWC backed by Apex. That custom action would update ProcessInstanceWorkitem.ActorId and create the Case FeedItem in the same transaction. But the existing standard Reassign action can’t be intercepted directly.

Hi Salesforce Community,

We are currently working on an Agentforce-based Knowledge Article generation use case and would appreciate recommendations from anyone who has implemented something similar.

Our objective is to automatically generate accurate, reusable, customer-facing Knowledge Article drafts from resolved Salesforce Cases, with the eventual goal of using those articles for customer self-service and case deflection.

Our current implementation uses Salesforce Prompt Builder and Agentforce capabilities. The Case information is supplied as grounding context, and the generated Knowledge Article is primarily focused on:

Title

Summary

Content / Resolution

The Resolution is especially important for us. We want the generated article to accurately represent the actual outcome of the Case and distinguish whether it resulted in a:

  •  Final Solution
  •  Workaround
  •  Improvement
  •  Enhancement / Feature Request

At the same time, the model should remain strictly grounded in the Case information and should not infer or introduce unsupported technical details.

One of the main challenges we are currently investigating is how to provide the model with the complete and relevant Case context.

Important information can be distributed across several Salesforce sources, including:

  •  Case Subject and Description
  •  Case Comments
  •  Email Messages
  •  Work Notes
  •  Resolution Notes
  •  Related records or conversations
  •  Other Case-related supporting information

We have observed situations where useful information exists in the Case context but is not fully reflected in the generated Knowledge Article.

We also want to prevent the opposite behavior, where the generated article introduces resolution steps, troubleshooting, or technical information that is not actually supported by the Case.

We are therefore looking for guidance on the Salesforce-recommended or out-of-the-box approach for this type of implementation.

Specifically, we would appreciate input on the following:

  1.  Is Einstein Knowledge Creation / the standard “Create Knowledge Articles From Case” Prompt Builder template the recommended approach for automatically generating Knowledge Articles from resolved Cases?
  2.  What is the recommended way to provide the complete Case context, including related information such as Case Comments and Email Messages, to a Knowledge Generation prompt without manually combining everything into one large input?
  3.  For a Knowledge Generation Prompt Template using Case as the grounding record, what additional Salesforce-supported data sources or related resources are typically recommended?
  4.  Is there an out-of-the-box Salesforce approach for reliably identifying and generating the actual resolution from a resolved Case while keeping the output strictly grounded?
  5. Has anyone implemented prompt logic that successfully distinguishes between:
    •  Final Solution
    •  Workaround
    •  Improvement
    •  Enhancement / Feature Request
  6. without causing the LLM to over-infer or classify an unsupported outcome?
  7.  What are the recommended Prompt Builder techniques for ensuring that generated Knowledge Articles remain:
    •  Accurate
    •  Grounded
    •  Customer-friendly
    •  Reusable
    •  Resolution-focused
    •  Suitable for customer self-service and case deflection
  8.  If the standard Knowledge Creation functionality is not sufficient for this use case, are there recommended approaches using Flow, Prompt Builder, Agentforce, Data 360, related record grounding, or Retrievers that work well for generating complete Knowledge Articles from Salesforce Cases?
  9.  Are there any existing Salesforce templates, accelerators, AppExchange solutions, or recommended implementation patterns that could help avoid building a heavily customized solution from scratch?

We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has implemented a production workflow similar to:

Resolved Salesforce Case → Grounded Case Context → AI-Generated Knowledge Article → Agentforce / Customer Self-Service

Any implementation examples, best practices, known limitations, configuration recommendations, or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.

We would also appreciate any

out-of-the-box approaches, alternative implementation patterns  beyond the standard Salesforce capabilities currently available.

If anyone has successfully implemented a different approach for generating high-quality, grounded Knowledge Articles from Cases, we would be very interested in learning about the architecture, tools, or configuration used

Thank you in advance for your guidance.

    Hi Bijay,

On Q1: this has actually changed. Einstein Knowledge Creation now supports custom Prompt Templates via the "Knowledge Generation" type in Prompt Builder — not limited to the single default case-only template anymore. Build a custom template tailored to your use case; that's the current recommended path.

For pulling in Comments/Emails/Work Notes without manual concatenation:

    - Flow-based grounding: attach a Flow as a grounding resource in Prompt Builder — it queries related records and feeds them in structured, instead of one giant merge field.

    - Retrievers (Data Cloud): for larger/unstructured volumes, index content into a Data Library and use a Retriever (via Einstein Studio) for semantic retrieval instead of dumping everything into one flow output.

For grounding accuracy / avoiding invented resolution steps:

    - Add an explicit negative instruction in the prompt: "Only use information present in the provided context. Do not infer steps not explicitly stated." This measurably reduces over-inference.

    - Split classification from generation — use a separate Field Generation prompt just to classify Final Solution/Workaround/Improvement/Enhancement (same context), then pass that result into the Knowledge Generation prompt. Two narrow prompts outperform one prompt doing both.

    - Add 2–3 labeled few-shot examples of each resolution category in the prompt instructions — this taxonomy is business-specific, so there's no built-in classifier; examples are what actually stabilize classification.

No native accelerator exists for the resolution-type classification specifically — that part is custom prompt engineering, not a toggle.

Hi Everyone,

I am facing an issue with a Lead trigger in Salesforce.

When I create a new Lead from the Lightning Experience UI, both the before/after insert and before/after update trigger events are getting executed during the same transaction.

However, when I create the same Lead from Salesforce Classic or apex, only the insert

trigger events are executed, which is the behavior I expect.

Has anyone experienced this behavior before? Is there any standard Lightning behavior that causes an immediate update after record creation?

Please help me out.

Thanks

Hi Tableau Community, I have a 3 node High Availability Tableau Server Production Environment which has almost more than 1TB of data and 4000+ users are working on it with Core Based Licensing.

Yesterday I initiated maintenance and restart activity of the server to bring back the backgrounder service, VizQL Service and the Application Server Service of my 2nd node to working from Degraded. But after restart, the error still persisted and Data Server also went into error state in 2nd node.

Since it is a production server and I can't get downtime again, kindly let me know how can I bring back my Tableau Server from Degraded to running again.

Thank you in advance

This sounds like a tricky issue, especially with a production environment and that much data and traffic. I’d first check the Tableau Server logs for the VizQL, Application Server, and Data Server services to see what changed after the restart. Hopefully someone can point you to the exact service or log entry causing the degraded state.

Good afternoon everyone, hope you're doing well.

I have a question regarding the mobile push setup in Marketing Cloud Next. We are currently working on a project where the client hired another company to handle this process. During the push installation, they asked about Custom Keys, but I haven't been able to find any documentation or content about this.

Is it really necessary? Could anyone explain how the push configuration works in MC Next?

Thanks!

Hi Guilherme, Custom Keys aren’t required for basic push notifications. They’re used when the app needs to receive additional key-value data in the push payload, for example to support tracking, deep linking, or custom app behavior. The mobile app code needs to be implemented to handle those keys.

For the basic MC Next setup, you’ll need to configure the mobile app and the appropriate iOS/Android push service credentials, then configure the SDK in the app to receive push notifications.

So if the implementation doesn’t require any custom data or app-specific behavior, Custom Keys generally aren’t necessary. If you share what the other company is asking you to configure as the Custom Keys, it may be easier to determine whether they’re actually needed.

    Hi ,

Ensure that you're working in the Lightning App Builder and editing the correct page layout for the Account object.

    Upgrade to Dynamic Forms

When you click on the Record Detail component and select Upgrade Now, make sure the page is upgraded to use dynamic forms. Without this step, you won't see the option to customize field sections.

    Add the Field Section

Drag the Field Section component from the palette to the desired spot in the Details tab. After adding it:

    • Click on the new section.
    • In the properties pane, type "Sales Region" in the Label field. You don’t need to "find" it in a list—it’s just a text input.

    Save and Activate

After customizing, click Save, and if required, activate the page for the right app or profile.

In salesforce revenue cloud. I am facing an issue in Cardinality.

GrandParent Product(Bundle) -> Parent Product (Bundle) -> Child Product.

I want the cardinality of all the 3 products via CML.

Is there any possibility?

    Example: Lets says

A parent product named : A which is a bundle type product.

It consist of a child product named : B which is also a bundle type product.

B product contains a child product named C which is a standalone Product.

Now, here A is the main parent , B is the parent and child of A and C is the child of B and grandchild of A.

So, in CML my requirement is like. I need to fetch the whole cardinality of A which includes quantity of B and C.

Good afternoon everyone, hope you're doing well.

I'm currently having trouble running Push and InApp tests in Marketing Cloud Next. Salesforce informed us that the contact needs to be mapped to the Contact Point App DMO.

We did the DMO mapping correctly, but even so, the users still aren't populating in our DMO, and we haven't received any of the test messages. Do you know if there is a mandatory field that needs to be filled out? Or if we might have missed a configuration step during the process?

Note: The goal is to successfully perform these send tests (push and in-app) in Marketing Cloud Next. If you have any real-world scenarios, documentation, or use cases to share, it would help us a lot.

Thank you!

we have a dependent picklist in LWC and we get the value from standard getPicklistValue method, but when user language is non-english and we have a translation for the picklist vlaue, the picklist value won't shown in the front end.

But if the translated value is same as English, it will be shown in the front end.

Dependent picklist not shown in LWC page when user has a non-English language.

I also asked AI and it say:

When assembling picklist value sets in the UAT sandbox (Winter '27) using the UI-API in a non-default language, values with translated entries are incorrectly discarded—this is a platform regression, not a data or configuration issue. Production is currently running an older version and is therefore safe, but the issue will inevitably reoccur the moment production is upgraded to Winter '27.

So I want to know if this is a salesforce Known issue or not?

    Hi @Bruce Wang

    -  Its  likely due to translated labels being used for dependency mapping.

Use the picklist API value for controllerValues matching, and use label only for displaying the value.

    controllerValue === index
