For anyone asking this question in the future:

Use Salesforce Inspector or Workbench to query:

SELECT Id, Name, LicenseDefinitionKey FROM UserLicense WHERE Name = 'Salesforce Platform'

It will return the License Definition Key, which you can compare against the list found here:

AUL: corresponds to the Salesforce Platform user license

AUL1: corresponds to the Salesforce Platform One user license 

I'm assuming here that Salesforce Platform One is the same as Salesforce Platform Plus. Information about the LicenseDefinitionKey for Salesforce Platform Plus is seemingly nonexistent, so take this with a grain of salt. 

Don't trust google search AI, it will return information relevant to the Lightning Platform - One App license (1 app, 10 custom objects), which is incorrect. That license has a definition key of FDC_ONE.

Hi Amber,

User License object have multiple fields but you can setup report only 7 fields.

But there is few fields we can query but can not add in report like usedlicense. 

Select Id,Name,Status,TotalLicenses,UsedLicenses from UserLicense

For getting the remaining license you need to do some manual works.

remaining license = TotalLicenses - UsedLicenses 

We have also same requirement and we have multiple org so we create different functionalty for this like below.

Hi. You were required to change your user details (i.e you the Admin's)  First Name, Last Name, Alias, Nickname, Title, Company, Role as outlined to Ian Ilin. This is described in the first challenge of the project - Create and Customize Products

1. From Setup, enter Users in Quick Find, and then select Users.
2. On the All Users screen, find your username (current System Administrator), click Edit, and enter these details 

Your license will be assigned to Ian Ilin (which is still you) and you can assign Alek Wozniak the other license.

Dakota, yes, the license can be used standalone. However, with all due respect to your AE, the other information is not correct in my experience. Users with this license can definitely run reports and access data in up to 10 custom objects.

@Jon Mervis - part of the "restriction" of the Service Cloud RUL is that it's only to be used in conjunction with NCCM. In other words, while it gives access to some Service Cloud features, I believe it'd be a violation of the RUL if it was just used as a cheaper way to give users access to Service Cloud features. There are/were partner Q&A docs around this RUL which I'm guessing you should have access to.

You may also consider using other means. For example if the person is just doing lead data entry and the lead assignments are already set up to go to users or a queue, then create a special web to lead form. The form can contain any fields needed on the lead including user to be assigned. 

Another option is to use experience licenses, such as a partner portal license. You can grant access to certain objects. However there are license minimum quantities. So the savings may not be the best, unless you can use the quantity required. 

Lastly you can create an online google sheet connected to zappier to enter the leads in quantity, with no additional licenses at all.
