Happy to share that I have successfully completed the Setup with Agentforce Quest

today.

This hands-on experience provided valuable insights into how Agentforce can assist Salesforce administrators by simplifying routine setup activities through natural language interactions. Tasks like managing users, assigning permissions, and configuring setup components can be performed faster and more efficiently, allowing teams to focus on higher-value work.

Looking forward to exploring more AI-driven capabilities within the Salesforce platform.

Really enjoyed going through this Trailhead Quest on Setup with Agentforce ! 🚀

It’s a great hands-on way to get familiar with the different steps involved in setting up and working with Agentforce in Setup. I particularly liked that it gives you an opportunity to learn by actually configuring things rather than just going through theory.

A good starting point for anyone looking to get more practical exposure and understand how the different pieces fit together.

The AI industry is optimizing for the wrong metric.

Everyone is asking: “How smart is the model?”

Enterprise teams should be asking: “𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗜 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀?”

The hardest part isn’t getting an agent to answer a question.

It’s getting it to reliably complete an end-to-end workflow.

Take a customer refund. In production, the agent has to do more than understand intent:

✅ Validate the request against business policies

✅ Decide what can be auto-approved vs escalated

✅ Pause execution while waiting for human approval

✅ Resume from the exact same state later (not restart)

✅ Update the right CRM records

✅ Produce an audit trail for every decision

None of that is a prompting problem. It’s an 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺.

    This really resonates.

One thing I've noticed is that most benchmarks focus on whether an AI agent can produce the right answer.

In production, that's only one piece of the puzzle.

    The bigger questions become:

    • Can it follow business policies?

    • Can it recover from failures?

    • Can it handle long-running workflows?

    • Can you explain every decision it made?

Curious to see how the industry evolves over the next few years.

Completed the Agentforce Quest today! 🎉

I learned how to set up Agentforce, and I was genuinely impressed by how quickly it provides answers and helps with configuration. It's amazing to see how much it can simplify everyday admin and development tasks.

One thing I realized is that getting the best results depends on how well we write our prompts. Knowing what to ask and how to give clear instructions is key to implementing the exact configuration we need.

Overall, it was a fun and insightful quest, and I'm excited to explore Agentforce even more! 🚀 #Agentforce #Trailhead #Salesforce #AI #Salesforce Admin #ContinuousLearning

💙 Setup with Agentforce is quickly becoming my go-to Salesforce assistant.

As someone actively learning and building on Salesforce, one of the biggest challenges is knowing where to find the right setup option or how

to configure it correctly. Setup with Agentforce changes that experience completely.

Instead of jumping between documentation, Trailhead, and multiple browser tabs, I can simply ask a question in natural language and get clear, relevant guidance right inside Salesforce. It makes learning faster, reduces confusion, and gives me more confidence while exploring new features.

One thing I'd love to see in future updates is deeper troubleshooting support with step-by-step explanations for complex scenarios and links to related best practices.

Overall, this feels less like a search tool and more like having an experienced Salesforce mentor available whenever I need help. 👏🚀

 Hey #AwesomeAdmin

After completing the Setup with Agentforce Quest, I'm excited about the productivity gains it can bring to Salesforce Admins.

As Agentforce becomes more capable, which admin responsibilities do you think will be most transformed over the next few years? Will AI primarily reduce configuration effort, improve troubleshooting, or change how we approach solution design altogether?

My feedback is that Setup with Agentforce already feels like a significant step toward making Salesforce administration more efficient while still keeping admins in control of decision-making.

Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts and experiences.

Excited to see Setup with Agentforce now generally available!

After completing the Quest, I found it especially valuable for simplifying setup, troubleshooting, and routine admin tasks. It enhances productivity while keeping admins firmly in control of every decision. The fact that it doesn't consume Agentforce Credits makes it even easier to explore and adopt in real-world scenarios.

A few weeks ago at True to the Core (TTTC) during TDX, I asked the Salesforce Team to clarify the pricing for Prompt Builder.

Salesforce Foundations is a free offering that includes Agent Conversations, Data Cloud, and features from Marketing and Commerce. However, despite what Trailhead and Salesforce Pricing pages suggest, it does not include Prompt Builder.

Since raising this at TTTC, I’ve spoken with multiple Salesforce teams, and even they can’t agree—some say Prompt Builder is included, others say it isn’t. In practice, it’s not available in a Salesforce Foundations org, as the required Permission Sets (Prompt Template Manager, Prompt Template User) and Permission Set Licenses (Einstein Prompt Templates) are not provisioned.

Currently, it appears Salesforce intends to require an Einstein for Service, Einstein for Sales, or Einstein for Platform license — effectively making Prompt Builder subject to both user-based and consumption-based licensing.

I appreciate that Salesforce teams have been working on this behind the scenes, and I’ve noticed a shift in messaging. Since TDX, Agentforce’s response on Salesforce Help has changed from ❌ “Prompt Builder is not explicitly mentioned as part of Foundations” to ⚠️ “Prompt Builder is available with Salesforce Foundations, but on a limited basis.”

This lack of clarity is a problem for the nonprofit clients I work with, as they rely on the Power of Us Program for courtesy licenses in the first place.

I’d like the Salesforce team to:

1️⃣ Clarify whether Prompt Builder is included in Salesforce Foundations, as the official materials currently contradict each other.

2️⃣ If Prompt Builder requires per-user licensing (even temporarily), consider extending the Power of Us Program to provide courtesy Prompt Builder licenses alongside the standard courtesy Salesforce licenses.

3️⃣ Correct all marketing and documentation to clearly reflect whether Prompt Builder is included with Foundations (or not).

At TTTC, it was suggested that Prompt Builder was coming to foundations, but I didn’t get a clear time commitment to the above, so I’m posting here.

Before I raised this at TTTC I verified this was not currently available in two separate orgs both with Salesforce Foundations enabled.

If you need a recap you can watch the recording of this question from 11:27 on Salesforce+

Thanks @Abby Trout we dont currently have Agentforce or Data Cloud license. I was assuming the prompt Builder being GA would mean it appears in the org without any other products being enabled. But the more I am reading about the licensing it may be that Prompt Builder may come with Salesforce Foundations but we will have to check with our AE on this. Thanks for your help.
