Just posting this update here because I could not find a recent definitive answer online to this...

You currently cannot add the standard '

Gender Identity

' picklist field to a web to lead form - not even if you have the right API version and it is accessible to your Profile on the Lead and Contact objects.

SF Support reported back to me today:

"

Upon checking this internally with my team and tried the same in my demo org.

found that Gender Identity & Pronoun Fields(Standard fields) aren't supported yet for Web to Leads. It is working as designed & that's why this field is not listed in the "Available Fields" list in Setup-->Web-to-Lead when you are generating HTML for a new web-to-lead form."

The work-around suggested is the same one you need to implement for Birthdate for Web to Lead - create a custom field, and then a Flow to update the standard field when your custom field gets populated. Then you can map the standard field to the standard Contact field in your Lead mapping setup.

Idea posted here , please upvote!

Hi Experts,

I am experimenting with the Web to Lead feature, see article:

https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=sf.setting_up_web-to-lead.htm&type=5

Thsi feature seems to automatically block duplicates.

If I try to add a duplicate, it will simply not create the lead an send me an error via mail.

I want to allow duplicates, and manage them by myself in the system, since many duplicates are expected for my case.

Can anyone share their experience with this?

Thank you in advance.

     Hey Niklas,

To allow a duplicate Lead to be created through Web-to-Lead, consider

    1. Add a Condition on the existing Duplicate Rule such that it does not run when the current user is the default Web-to-Lead creator.

    2. Create another Duplicate Rule that runs only when the current user is the default web to lead creator, and set that rule to allow and report (without alert).

    For more reference: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=000336839&mode=1&type=1

Let me know if this helps, also if there is anything else.

    Thanks,

    Tanaya

Hi Trailblazers!

We've recently implemented a web-to-lead form on our website, and while leads are successfully created in Salesforce Sales Cloud, we're struggling to capture them as data events within Marketing Cloud journeys. We'd love your input on a step-by-step process to achieve this integration.

Thanks

Hi @Mirlande Marseille! If you're still looking try this:

    1. Salesforce Setup

    2. Search Web-to-lead

    3. Ensure Web-to-lead is enabled (if it isn't click edit and enable it, see screenshot 1

    4. Click create a web-to-lead form

    5. Customize the fields you would like on the form

    6. Configure the website you want the visitor to be redirected to after completing the form

    7. Click generate

    8. Paste the HTML into your website

    I hope this is helpful!

Hey guys,

I noticed that when I tried to fill in the email address field on the web-to-lead form on our website with @gmail.com or @hotmail.com, I received an error message on the website "Please enter a valid email address," and the form does not save due to that. I did not find any validation rule on the lead with this error message. Does anybody know how it can be fixed? Where should I be looking for it?

    @Anna Petrikova

Answer 1: Open the inspect element by left-clicking the mouse and go to the console tab. This way, you can check for any JavaScript errors.

Answer 2: To investigate the issue, open the debug log from the setup on the user for whom you are running the web-to-lead form.

Wordpressのプラグイン機能(Integration for Contact Form 7 and Salesforce)を利用して、

We figured out the issue we were having today - Although we had paid for the premium version of Contact Form 7, the web developer had not updated to the paid plugin.  Once updated, we can see all the custom fields.

In watching Iman's Introduction to Experience Cloud webinar, he showed the web-to-lead form builder during the Q&A section. I'm not having any luck accessing the link he did. It keeps redirecting to the Essentials page here. I found a Help article explaining it more, but the form builder page isn't coming up. Is there another link available that can be accessed by anyone to use the form builder or is it only available for Essential customers? Thank you for clarification!  #Web-to-lead #Lead Capture Form Builder

    @Tom Bassett,

It's not that it's only available to Essentials customers, it was available to anyone that clicked the link. But from the time of the recording to now, that page seems to have been deprecated.

I'm guessing the need for that separate page is gone, now that there is a standard "lead form" component in Experience Cloud that should allow you to style your form.

@Dana Mock, I'd suggest looking at the links Tom provided, that is probably your path of least resistance!

Hello, I'm system admin of CRM for fundraising of my organization which is based on salesforce-NPSP and I'd like you to help for resolve problem below...

We've published several web-forms for inquiries, change monthly donation amounts or procedures like that by using web-to-lead/case function.

But some requests posted on them seems to be disappered after sent request on the form, in other words, records corresponding to these request were not created on the Lead/Case object in our salesforce environment.

If you have any point, concern that we should check, please let me know.

-Needs reCAPTHCA to put request on those form but if user doesn't check reCAPTHA check, "Submit" button of the form are not shown so user have to check reCAPTCHA.

-If content or value of record(request) is bad, we usually get notification e-mail of 'Salesforce doesn't create this lead...' but we haven't received this email on this case.

After I posted this question, I found similar situation to me so I'd like to share this article but seems no solution yet....

Hello,

I set up a web to lead on our wordpress site, I tried it, it was working well but now it doesn't work anymore,

I receive an email with the error:

Reason: bad value for restricted picklist field: BCD

BCD is a vaule from a pick list who is dependent from another one but both field are not in the web to lead form...

And value from this picklist are not required...

Why doesn't it work ?

thanks in advance,

Yann
