#Essentials0 discussing

Our team has decided to add a new stage to our Leads Stages but I cannot add the stage where I want it to be.  I am only able to add it at the end - when I go to drag them into a new order it won't let me.

What am I supposed to do??

    Hi there,

Setup >> QuickFind >> Object Manager >> Lead >> Fields >> Lead Status >> New Add the stage what ever you want

I am a junior Salesforce admin trying to implement reCAPTCHA in our Help Center (Experience Builder) for a web-to-case html form (Essentials edition) (no coding knowledge!).

I had been using the drag and drop "contact support" component that exists in the builder but then we got a ton of spam.

I implemented a web-to-lead html form with reCAPTCHA on our website but I am not having any luck using the generated html code for web-to-case in the Experience Builder (I have very little coding knowledge so I don't know where to start other than putting the Salesforce-generated code in the header tag and the rest in the html component). The form generates but the reCAPTCHA does not show up.

I was instructed to follow this resource:

https://www.learnexperiencecloud.com/s/article/Implementing-reCAPTCHA-in-Community-Cloud#Intro.  I added the trusted sites (google and gstatic) under CSP, and added the head markup to the site, but I don't know where to put the rest of the code that is outlined in that article  (RecaptchaDemo.cls, v2CheckboxDemo.cmp, v2CheckboxDemoController.js). I haven't used visualforce.

I am new to Salesforce and haven't touched any of the developer tools.

We don't have a webmaster on staff so I am wondering where the best place to hire a SF developer to implement this would be.

Thank you! #Service Cloud #Experience Cloud #Essentials #Salesforce Developer  #Jobs

I have received over 40,000 spam cases from my Contact Support Form module in the Help Center. I have deleted this form completely and turned OFF web-to-case but I am still receiving spam cases. I understand how to add reCAPTCHA to web-to-lead or web-to-case forms (using the SF generated HTML) but am very confused how I can add reCAPTCHA to this drag and drop module. I edit the form fields using Global Actions but do not understand where or how I could add the reCAPTCHA or another anti-spam filter.

Can anyone suggest other ideas for how to make this spam stop? Am I missing something completely? I am an Essentials user and have done basic admin tasks setting up our org but I am not familiar with code. #Essentials #Sales And Marketing

    Hello,

I've just tried this in a Essentials Trail Org and am experiencing the same problem, I suspect this component is not included in the Essentials edition.

A way around this would be to enable Web-to-Case, set this up with your reCAPTA and then embed the URL directly on the Help Centre.

This option would entail using custom HTML to style the form as out of the box there is no styling.

    Thanks, Tom

Hello all! I am setting up SF for a client that has Essentials. They have MULTIPLE sales processes/opportunity stages (about 5 and no two are the same). My first thought was to create diff page layout for each category, but b/c it's Essentials, I cant do that.  Does anyone know of a workaround for this??

    Hi @Jenifer Parr

I appreciate your request on an earlier answer I provided. As it relates to multiple Sales Processes: Essentials allows ONE. What does that mean? It means that only one set of Picklist Values for the Stage on an Opportunity.

You DO HAVE Flexibility that you can Squeeze from Essentials without upgrading to PE or EE (pricier editions), even as it relates to Products and Quotes.

ONE: Additional Picklist Fields on the Opportunity. Use these to "specify" a Sub-Status based on the Stage of the Opportunity (You can even control the user selection by creating a "Field Dependency" on the Opportunity Object settings that limit the Sub-Status Selection based on Stage)... Just a little more control of the ACTUAL Status... this could also be controlled by any other Picklist Field or Checkbox aside from the Stage, if you wanted to separate the different types of Opportunities (B2B vs B2C OR Product Sales vs Warranty or Service Calls).

IMHAOO (In My Humble and Outspoken Opinion)... Your Client may need to take a hard look at their UNDERSTANDING of Sales Process. Most companies don't really understand the PURPOSE of the Stages in a Sales Process.

I'm planning on doing a YouTube Video on this... so visit my channel and subscribe (shameless self promotion as I work to get to my first 100 Subscribers - without begging -

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDt21cW6lzFJg8erLIe7nVg

    ).

I will put it out soon.

Here's my "Quick Overview" on Sales Process: Think Volleyball.

After the Serve (first contact = BEHAVIOR) the other side (prospect) has 3 hits to return the ball (e.g.- answer the phone, have a conversation, schedule a meeting = OUTCOME) and when they respond, You have 3 Hits (Behaviors) to return the ball.

All of these BEHAVIORS and OUTCOMES are recorded in Salesforce and every time you receive the appropriate OUTCOME(s), you gather enough data to MOVE to the next step of the process.

And Back and Forth, Back and Forth... until you reach the DECISION (Close Date and Closed Stage) for that Sales Conversation (Opportunity record).

Use the PATH to remind the user of the Behaviors (Guidance for Success) and Outcomes (Top 5 Fields to be completed) at each stage of the Lead and Opportunity Records.

My hunch is that if they had a clear Lead Management Process that led to conversion to a Sales Conversation Management Process (yes, I refer to Opportunities as Conversations, not Deals) with some added field data (picklists, checkboxes), your client could definitely benefit from Essentials without upgrading to a more expensive edition. At least not until they have their Sales Processes working smoothly within the limitations of Essentials.

IMHAOO - The Beauty of Essentials Edition of Salesforce, is that your client can actually work on the HABITS that lead to more sales BEFORE they invest in features that may not produce the intended benefits without proper usage.

    I hope that helps.

Dear all

Does anyone know if it is possible to use topic banner images on community pages when dealing with an essentials org? Essentials only allows public help centres. I know you can do this via the customer service community template, but this template doesn't seem to be available to essentials. I'd really like to get images on the top of all of my topics .. I've tried the "help center" and the "stella" template with no luck. Any experience or any ideas on this? Thank you so much in advance.

    Yes, thank you @Naveen Gabrani

for sharing this incredible resource you created! This is fantastic!

To your question around Lightning Components and VF pages - that is true, Essentials does not support them. Essentials only supports Standard Lightning Components (although some are only accessible in higher editions).

Have Essentials.  Cannot figure out how to sync Salesforce to Outlook contacts.  Is this possible in Essentials?  Used to be able to add a contact in Salesforce, and it would also populate in my Outlook contacts on my phone.  It is not happening now.
