Hello all,

Has anyone dealt with this error before:

We can't show this data because of an error. Ask your Admissions Connect administrator for help.

We currently rely on a workaround where we update the activity date for tasks overdue by more than 365 days, which then flips the task's record IsArchived value to false. Does anyone have a more permanent and effective solution for this?

Edit: We are also running the most current version of Admissions Connect.

    Hi Robin,

We've experienced the same issue due to the automatic archival of tasks. I created a case with Salesforce Support, and they let me know that product team is considering looking into a fix. Maybe if you do the same thing, they'll be more motivated to figure out a solution.

Our "workaround" was to just remove the checklist from the page after the record's created date more than 365 days ago. Obviously this doesn't solve the problem with Admissions Connect, but just hiding the error works for our use case. If you're just concerned about displaying the data from the action plans, I think the action plans can still be viewed from the Action Plan Related List, but it might require users to drill down into each related record.

Hello all. Just today, my applicants have been reporting that they are unable to view their Application Viewer on their experience cloud view of Admissions Connect. Their permission sets look correct. I recently updated the Application flow. Does anyone know if there is a chance my application flow update may have disrupted the applicants' ability to view the Application Viewer?

Hi all!

I am trying to see if this app will be a good fit for our team. Our AE told us this "To get a demo of Admissions Connect, you can visit the Salesforce Admissions Connect page and request a demo. " I tried to find this page but it just links to https://www.salesforce.com/nonprofit/. Can anyone help with cost estimates and/or a demo? Any help will be appreciated!

I have the Application Checklist component on application page but I am getting the following message:"We can't show this data because of an error. Ask your Admissions Connect administrator for help." I can't seem to find where the Application checklist is configured or where I would see a log of what the problem is in displaying the checklist.

Turned out this is a bug that is fixed if you apply Admissions Connect 1.15 or 1.16 (the latest version).

Found the solution -- this is a bug in Admissions connect that was fixed by applying the the 1.16 version of Admissions connect.

I have a published Action Plan template. I am trying to add a new Action Plan to an Application record but I am getting an error. When I hit the "Save" button on the second page of the "New Action Plan" wizard/flow, it takes me back to the first page with a red box at the top that says "Review the errors on this page."

But there are no errors visible on the page. All the fields are filled in. I get the same error when trying on different application records. However, I am able to add other published action plans to this application record without issue.

Edit: to also say that this Action Plan Template was working (ie I had a previous version published and was able to add it to the application record. However, after cloning it and Publishing this new version, it no longer works. I have tried cloning it again, but still no luck).

Anyone seen this before? What does it mean and where can I get more info on what the issue is.

Thanks

We just had a very similar problem. It turned out that the Owner field wasn't in the page layout, and since the template was assigning the task to the creator, it wasn't able to get it.

More weirdly, however, using the same template and the same Case with a Sys Admin it would work.

I see that can students can upload files for Document Checklist Items that appear in their applicant portal, but I also want some items to contain an existing file that student can download and complete. Is this possible? If yes, how do I implement this?

Thank you.

You can include a hyperlink to where the file is hosted using the Application Material Mapping record's Applicant Instruction Message field or the Applicant Instructions Message field, but not the actual file.

Document Generation is one of the tools that comes with OmniStudio. Has anyone gotten the document generation working in the context of Admissions connect?   Any help pointing me in the right direction on how to setup document generation would be much appreciated. The initial installation of Admissions Connect and OmniStudio seems to have elements missing that are needed to make use of the Document Generation in OmniStudio.

In the documentation there was a comment about buying document generation using OmniStudio, since OmniStudio is licensed through Admissions Connect, does anyone know if that license also applies to the document generation?

    Support told me the following:

You need a combination of licenses to use Omnistudio Document Generation:

    1. Omnistudio licenses (Omnistudio or Omnistudio User) to use Document Generation application.

    2. DocGen licenses (DocGen Designer, DocGen User, DocGen Runtime for Community Users) to generate documents using the Salesforce Contracts application.

It was a no cost addition to our Admissions Connect Licenses

I am setting up Admissions Connect and am using Action Plan Templates to organize student Tasks and Document Checklist Items.

When an Action Plan is assigned to a user, this fires individual emails to the student for each Task they have been assigned (which is annoying), but only happens sometimes...

I would like to be able to block all of these emails, but there isn't an option for sending (or not sending) an email when you set up the Action Plan Templates.

Any advice? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure what you mean by Tasks being re-assigned in the flow. This is what our Task Assignment portion looks like in the Action Plan Template - They are being (correctly) assigned to the student, but there is no option for sending a message to them that a task has been assigned, other than checking the box about reminders, but has remained unchecked

I'm not sure what you mean by Tasks being re-assigned in the flow.

Hi all,

This is my first time using Admissions Connect and I am trying to install it on my sandbox org. during the installation process I encountered an error (https://install.salesforce.org/products/admissions-connect/1.20/install-and-build-community/jobs/lQE4zyl) How can I solve it? If I try to reinstall without the step that is failing (Which is optional) the installation reaches the last step where it fails again so I am not sure if both issues are related. Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

++ Connect with the managed package support team, looks like some code break where the record type is not found in your org.

Hi all - I have deployed an org's published Action Plan Templates, and am running into the issue of not being able to utilize them in a flow to assign Action Plans to an Application because they're not found. When deployed, they're not in a Published state and don't appear to be able to be published (the Action Plan Template Status is "ReadOnly"). The flow error I'm getting as a result is below. Does anyone have any advice on how to correct this, or will I need to clone and publish all templates after deploying? #Admissions Connect@Jace Bryan

An Apex error occurred: randa.ApplicationService_API.ApplicationServiceException: An action failed because the Action Plan Templates it uses don’t exist or are inactive. Verify the Action Plan Templates used are correct. For reference, the following Action Plan Template(s) failed. {[All Action Plan Template names]}

@Jaclyn Jimison - Based on this article: The default status values are Draft, Obsolete, and Published. If your org has action plans migrated from another org, then those migrated action plan templates show a ReadOnly status.

Based on this article (as well as the article referenced by @Tom Bassett):  After you install action plan templates through a package, clone the templates and use the copies.

Let me know if this does the trick!
