What have you done to drive success with increasing mobile downloads? We've done the basics (email campaign, posting in our groups, adding info/QR codes to meeting slides and virtual backgrounds) but looking for other ways to increase this metric.

To drive success with increasing mobile downloads, we have implemented a number of strategies, including:- Creating a mobile app landing page to direct users to the download links.- Leveraging our existing social media presence by sharing links to the app store and Google Play store.- Creating social media advertisements to target potential users.- Utilizing influencer marketing to reach new users.- Creating special promotions to encourage users to download the app.- Running paid search campaigns to target users who are actively searching for our app.- Utilizing App Store Optimization techniques to increase our visibility in the app stores.

In Mobile Publisher, the requirement for the loading screen images is PNG.  Is there a way to have a GIF instead? anyone tried this? #Mobile Apps

PNG is the best bet. Easiest way is just to take a screen shot and upload it or use java script

Our community app (published via Mobile Publisher) takes quite a while to load.  "Rhyzone" is the app name. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot the issue?

Hi everyone, we have a support case but have not gotten anywhere on this yet. It seems to us that the issue is the 'refreshing' of the account. It seems to happen only with logged in customers, going back to their app after being away for a bit. It goes to a white screen (seemingly to refresh the login?) and that white screen takes a long time. Then it goes to the page the user was on the last time they were in the app, or it just stays white.

We ran the page optimizer but don't know how to read the results, and support says "I tried to look the report over but I'm not certain this would narrow down mobile behavior."

    Any thoughts??

When logging in, there is an 'allow access' screen that must be allowed before entering the community (via mobile). Is there any way this screen can be hidden/removed/not required, OR can the text on the screen be updated/customized?

We do not feel our members/customers will allow access based on the wording there today, it seems very invasive/technical.

Skip/customize the 'allow access' screen?

My organization is considering utilizing Salesforce Mobile Publisher to create an app for our alumni.  Can anyone help me understand how the LoginGeo object works with the persistent login feature of Salesforce Mobile Publisher?

Our team is specifically trying to see if we can have push notifications when someone is near one of our events or near one of our member benefit locations to remind them that we have something to offer in their current location.

My minimal understanding so far is that we can only track the location of the community user when they actively login.  So if they are not logged in we wouldn't be able to know their location.  Secondly, I believe that Salesforce Mobile Publisher has persistent login so that login data may not even be accurate.  Thirdly, my understanding is that custom notifications are created through process builder so this maybe be a very manual process to set up for each "ad" we would want to push and may not be very scalable as our events change.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thank you for the information! I will check with our team about how we can potentially leverage that functionality instead. This might have been a puzzle piece I was missing.

I'd still be interested if anyone knows if the Salesforce Mobile Publisher can do this within the app itself.

Does anyone at @Solo Admins, @User Group, Cedar Rapids, US, @Mobile Engagement  know if there is a way to establish a Session Timeout based on the device? The majority of our workforce is onsite and work from their desktop; however, we have small number of mobile users. There is concern about mobile users having idle sessions on their phones.

Thanks

Thank you @Buyan Thyagarajan, that is helpful. Salesforce reminded me that I can manage Session Timeout by Profile, but that really doesn't solve the issue at hand. Your suggestion on a BYOD Mobiile Management software will be presented as a possible way to address this concern. Again, many thanks!

We are JUST starting to venture into mobile solutions that integrate with our Salesforce. We are releasing an App very soon and have gone through most of the setup. Right now, we're trying to get

activation email sent from Salesforce using merge fields.

I set up an HTML Email template that includes send a hyperlink with merge fields. All looks good.

Upon sending the email from within Salesforce, I access it from my phone and the hyperlink is not Active from my Yahoo Mail app (and Gmail); however, the Bcc goes to my Exchange email which I open through my phone’s native email app and it works sending the merged fields and logging into the app.

We’ve tried this with Pardot too with no luck.

Any ideas on why this is the experience and how I can fix it? Please note that my knowledge on this is extremely limited. Also, I opened a Salesforce case and they said it was a Yahoo problem.
