Hello Salesforce Community,

I’m looking for a way to filter the Chatter feed to display only specific types of updates, such as posts or customer emails, and exclude other details that aren’t relevant to our engineers.

I found documentation indicating that a filter tool can be added to the Chatter Feed in Cases. However, after following the outlined steps, our feed is still showing all information, including records we prefer to hide.

Our goal is to exclude items like Case Status Tracking records and time logs, keeping only posts and emails from customers visible. (See attached screenshots for examples of the records we’d like to filter out.)

Is there any way to achieve this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Best,

Liviu M.

Hi, to enable this, I changed to Salesforce Classic, on Case Page Layout I converted the Case Feed Layout to Case Layout and assigned the new Converted Case Layout with Feed View.

I have just enabled Chatter in our experience cloud site. We have the google translate option there, which is fantastic, as we have users communicating in 14 languages. Is there a similar functionality for Chatter internally? We have internal users communicating with external users and if the external user's language is not English, the internal users will need to have the comment/post translated.

We turned on Chatter but feed tracking on the object name was not disabled prior to enabling it. I have since unchecked the object name on the feed tracking, but I would like to be able to delete these auto-generated posts. I have tried to export the chatter posts using data loader (feed item object), but they don't seem to be exporting. Is it possible to bulk-delete these?

Yes it's possible to export records in the 'FeedItem' object, I had no trouble doing so. As an example, you can filter the records using the following fields:

    type= 'Tracked Change'

If you want to export feeditems related to cases use: parentId starts with '500'

Or if the relevant feeditems are related to accounts use: parentId starts with ' 001'

Each object has a different prefix...Yes it's possible to export records in the 'FeedItem' object, I had no trouble doing so.

You can then delete these FeedItem records using DataLoader.

Is there a way to set a default "to" in chatter to "All with Access" and remove any other options? I searched the documentation and cannot find anything that mentions where this stems from and how to edit it.

Where to set default post visibility?

Hi all, I have chatter feed tracking enabled in my org and I can alter the fields that display in the "view more details" button via the Compact Layout. But I need to be able to alter the pre-amble text and the record link. Has anyone found a way to do this/is it possible?Chatter feed related object creation

My Chatter email notifications' From Name, Email Address, and Logo do not reflect what I have in the Email Settings for Chatter. Any idea what other settings affect Chatter Emails?

@VINAY KUMAR K When I @ mention myself my Chatter emails come in from an email and name that I do not have listed in the Email Settings. When I get my Daily Digest, that does come from the email/name that I have listed in the Email Settings. I am trying to figure out why my Chatter emails are coming from 2 different names/emails.

Is there a way to format how a chatter group is displayed in an Aura Experience Site? The administrator wants to hide the members of the site. Can you only display the feed and the shared files? Is this possible without code or at all?

@Nitu Vadapalli wonder if you need a scheduled flow as such.. or can it be done by a scheduled report (assuming you need to inform less number of account managers).

if scheduled report.. then you can create an account report with filter as

account owner = account manager's name

and last modified date = Last 7 days.

save and subscribe the report to send email to required recipients every tuesday

We had this happen to some of our users when they switched us to Hyperforce.  They got the daily digest day of switch and then didn't after, whereas others were unimpacted. We pulled our email logs and saw the same report behavior the user described.

When I contacted support, they could not determine why or who was impacted, nor that it was caused by the switch.  The suggestion was to make a change on their Chatter notifications setting and follow a new record or group after doing so.  When we did this the impacted user then began receiving the digest again.  We still don't know who isn't receiving notifications that should be based on what they follow. Left to only help those who noticed.

Hi all, I am looking for engaging more the chatter (with our various Groups) like Facebook .

As you know, video is one of the best engaging format in a Community, so could it be possible to add Videos, or else Gif in a post? (or a preview from a native video? or Youtube?) Because my team can only add picture, link or poll.  Thanks for your tip!
