*** Important Update: To any org the hasn’t adopted the new enhanced security data spaces *** Important Update: To any org the hasn’t adopted the new enhanced security data spaces To maintain access to data-space aware Data Cloud features, your org must enable enhanced security data spacesTo maintain access to data-space aware Data Cloud features, your org must enable enhanced security data spaces and assign the new standard permission sets to your users by March 31, 2025.

What action do I need to take?

Follow the steps in Update Data Cloud to Enhanced Security Data Spaces, to configure the new standard permission sets and turn on enhanced security data spaces. This action is required even if your org only utilizes the Default data space.

If you’ve already completed the steps outlined above, no further action is required and you can disregard this message.

How can I confirm if I still need to take action?

To verify your permission set is updated, make sure that:

  1. All users are assigned to the new Data Cloud standard permission sets or custom permission sets derived from them. None of your users remain assigned to legacy permission sets.
  2. Data spaces are part of the permission set assigned to users.
  3. You’ve enabled Enhance Data Space Security from Data Cloud Setup > Feature Management > Data Spaces.

What happens if I don’t take action?

After March 31, 2025, your org will experience a forced migration, however, this may cause some orgs to experience data visibility issues in Data Cloud.

How can I get more information?

If you have more questions, review the Migrate to New Data Cloud Permission Sets release notes. You can also open a case with Support through Salesforce Help.
