I found that if I choose a domain name (e.g. uat-xxxx.ca128.force.com) in Sites and Domains / Sites I cannot use the same domain name in Digital Experience - although I can apparently create sites in both areas.
Hello @Kermit Del Rosario I understand the difference between domain and sites. However, in the setup area "Sites and Domains / Sites" you choose a DNS name for your site (the page explains that you can then use this domain for sites like /partners or /customers).
If you do this, however, and then go to the Setup path "Features/Digital Experience/ you see more or less the same : the option to select a DNS name for your sites (and the explanation that you can use this e.g. for /partners or /customers). You cannot choose the DNS name here which you had chosen in the first place - because it is already taken (by yourself!)
So you end up with 2 different DNS names - but no clear indication which one to choose for your sites. You can even create sites at these two setup locations.
