Whenever an internal user assigns a task for community user ,email notifications are not getting triggered. Even there are no records in email log files.

what could be the issue here?

    Hi @Praswanth Pamireddy,

    Since the Task is being assigned by an internal user to a community user and there are no entries in the Email Log Files, I'd first verify whether the recipient user has task assignment notifications enabled.

    Check the following:

    • Setup → Notification Delivery Settings → Activities → Task Assignments and ensure Desktop notifications are enabled.
    • On the community user's record, verify the "Email me when someone assigns me a task" preference is enabled under Reminder & Alerts.

    According to Salesforce documentation, task assignment notifications depend on these notification settings. If these preferences are disabled, the assignment notification may not be generated at all, which could explain why no corresponding entries appear in the Email Log Files.

Went to do my weekly imports and the import tool could not find the field mappings despite them still being in the Import File mapping fields record. I checked our full Sandbox and the import tool had the same problem, so I can't see this as some sort of human error on our side

    Thanks for confirming, John. Since the issue is also reproducible in the Full Sandbox and the imports were working last week, it does seem less likely to be an access or configuration issue. I’d suggest checking whether the mapping records are still correctly associated with the relevant Import Type. If they are, this may need to be investigated by Payments2Us Support. Hope they can get this resolved quickly.

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m preparing for the Salesforce Administrator certification and wanted to know if anyone has information about free Salesforce Admin certification vouchers or any upcoming voucher programs.

Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 🙌

    Hi @Ankur Sharma

     You can check the official Trailhead Certification and Salesforce Certification pages for upcoming Certification Days, promotions, and voucher/discount opportunities. Salesforce occasionally offers exam discounts through certification events and programs, so it’s worth checking regularly.

    Also, be cautious with unofficial voucher offers and verify any promotion through official Salesforce channels.

    All the best with your Salesforce Administrator certification! 👍

    Hope This Helps!!

I am planning to take salesforce platform admin certification.

I wonder any vouchers or discounts I can find here or from Dreamforce 2026.

How can we get vouchers in Dreamforce attending virtually?

Thank you.

    Hello @Sushma Y not by attending virtually, sorry.. Besides, you will not find shared vouchers in this Community. However, there are several possible ways for you to try to get vouchers :

    Good luck for your certification exam preparation !

I'm getting stumped on this. Org wants to create a push notification for overdue tasks. I have done it using a record-triggered flow with 7 days and 2 days as being notifications email to say Task is about to be due. Could it just be a push notification which stays in Salesforce, notification sent to the notification bell once daily .

    Hi @Scott Holmes -  Create a Scheduled-Triggered Flow that runs once a day.

     Get Task records where:

    • IsClosed = False
    • ActivityDate < TODAY()

     Use the Custom Notification action.

     Send the notification to the Task Owner.

     The notification will appear in the Salesforce notification bell.

     If you also want the 7-day and 2-day reminders, those can remain as scheduled paths in your existing record-triggered flow.

    Hi Aramaki-san,

    To cover all three cases, I’d recommend including the year in the calculation instead of using only MONTH().

    You can use:

    IF(

    ISBLANK(課金解約日__c),

    (YEAR(TODAY()) - YEAR(課金開始日__c)) * 12

    + MONTH(TODAY()) - MONTH(課金開始日__c) + 1,

    (YEAR(MIN(課金解約日__c, TODAY())) - YEAR(課金開始日__c)) * 12

    + MONTH(MIN(課金解約日__c, TODAY())) - MONTH(課金開始日__c) + 1

    )

    For example:

    •  Start: Jan 1, 2026 / Today: Apr 1, 2026 → 4 months
    •  Cancellation: Oct 31, 2026 / Today: Apr 1, 2026 → 4 months
    •  Cancellation: Jan 31, 2027 / Today: Apr 1, 2026 → 4 months

    The key point is using YEAR() together with MONTH() so the calculation also works correctly when the dates cross into another year.

Hey Salesforce Experts

I hope everyone is doing fine!

I please need your support - I can´t succeed in a task with a permission set, section Data security/ Controlling access to fields.

There is always this error after checking my work in the playground (see screenshots below)- now I´m training since 5 Days to solve this issue, starting a new playground from scratch as well as setting up the task from scratch in the system - I´ve no further Ideas!!! :)

Could someone please help me out with a solution or approach which could help me to sleep well ;)

Your support is much appreciated

Thanks and Cheers

    So I've opened a case with Support. @Gordon Hartmann Have you tried making a Standard User with a basic license and logging in as them? Our logins have Sys Admin and that's one potential reason it's failing. I tried it and it didn't work but at that point I had probably used the grader too many times. It's definitely frustrating. I've spent a good 8-10 hours on it and it should be very simple. I've built permission sets before. :/

Saw a notice today about a number of security changes happening with SF and the ones I have some questions on are around the new MFA prompting for when they run or view/export reports.  I know we can set a cool down period, but it looks like at least every 2 hours anyone looking at a report will need to redo MFA is that correct?  What about reports on dashboard, etc? Just wondering if anyone has any insight. Prepare for the upcoming Step-up Authentication requirements on Report Actions

    The new security requirements are certainly making waves. Yes, the standard cooldown period is every two hours for report actions such as viewing or exporting. Dashboard components generally fall under the same umbrella since they pull report data. My advice would be to check your session settings early. The outcome usually means a little more clicking for users, but it helps keep donor data safe. A small price to pay for peace of mind, I think.

Hello !

My business would like a way for a Financial record to be analyzed (questions and text-box answers) by multiple users that can see each others analyses on

 the same screen/record that they are performing the analysis on.

So far I have two ideas for doing so.

1. Have all the analysts work on the same record and let Salesforce tell the user that they can't edit it because someone else is editing it.

2. Have the analysts work on different records, and each time they save their analysis, have a trigger send that analysis to a separate field in all related analyses.

The first has the concurrency issue and the second solution sounds a little rough as we have a Reviewer that checks over all of the analyses and there'd be multiple places he could go to see everyone's work.

Does anyone have a better idea or improvements on mine ?

Thank you greatly for your time !

    Hi Sabeer,

    Both of your ideas are solving this the hard way — the actual fix is a data model change, not a concurrency workaround.

    Best approach: create a child object (e.g., "Financial Analysis") related to the Financial record via a Lookup (or Master-Detail if you want rollups/cascade delete). Each analyst creates their own Financial Analysis record against the same parent Financial record — one record per analyst, not one shared record.

    Why this solves everything you listed:

    1. No concurrency/locking issue at all — each analyst is editing their own distinct record, never the same row, so there's no "someone else is editing this" conflict.

    2. Everyone still sees everyone else's work on the same screen — add a related list (or better, a Lightning page component/Dynamic Related List) showing all Financial Analysis child records on the parent Financial record page. All analysts land on the same parent record and see every analysis in that related list in real time (or on refresh).

    3. One place for the Reviewer — the Reviewer opens the single parent Financial record and sees all analyses in that one related list, rather than hunting across multiple separate records like your second idea would require. You can even add a Reviewer-only "Review Status" or "Approved" field directly on each child Analysis record so they can mark each one off in the same place.

    Optional enhancements once the base model is in place:

    - Use Record-Triggered Flow or a validation rule to prevent duplicate Analysis records per analyst per Financial record (one analyst, one analysis, enforced by a formula/validation on a unique key like Analyst + Financial Record).

    - If you want a roll-up summary (e.g., "X of Y analysts submitted"), a Master-Detail relationship gives you native Roll-Up Summary fields for that.

    - If the Reviewer needs a consolidated read-only view rather than scrolling a related list, a simple Lightning Web Component pulling all child records into a table/grid on the parent page works well too.

    This pattern (one child record per contributor, rolled up to a shared parent) is the standard Salesforce way to handle "many people annotate the same thing" without ever touching record locking.

Hey everyone

We have a UAT sandbox that is already on the Winter ’27 release.

The non-beta Winter ’27 features are available and working as expected. However, it looks like all features marked as Beta are missing or not available in our sandbox.

Is there any additional setting, permission, or provisioning required to enable Winter ’27 Beta features in a sandbox?

Has anyone seen the same behavior?

Examples:

1. Preview Records from Lightning Reports Without Losing Context (Beta)

2. Compare Values Between Fields in SOQL (Beta)

Thanks!

    Hi Fabian,

    Two separate reasons, per official Winter '27 release notes:

    1. "Compare Values Between Fields in SOQL" (FORMULA() in WHERE clauses): requires API version 68.0+, and is scoped to sandboxes/Developer Editions/scratch orgs only. If your sandbox's API version isn't bumped to 68.0+ yet, it won't show even on Winter '27.

    2. "Preview Records from Lightning Reports Without Losing Context": ships as Beta with Salesforce's standard disclaimer that beta features aren't guaranteed to roll out simultaneously with GA features, even within orgs already on the release. Some Winter '27 betas explicitly require Salesforce Support to switch on (e.g., "Show Only Matching Records Across Blocks in Joined Reports" says exactly that), so it may need manual enablement rather than a Setup toggle you're missing.

    https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=release-notes.rn_rd_reports_dashboards.htm&release=220&type=5

    Next step: confirm your sandbox's API version for #1, and if #2 still doesn't appear, open a case with Support to check if it needs manual enablement on their side.
