Know your org better than the admin who left — OrgSage beta is live

Hey everyone,

How many times have you inherited a Salesforce org and had no idea why things were built the way they were? Or hesitated to delete a field because you weren't sure what would break?

We built OrgSage to answer one question: "What happens if I change this?"

OrgSage connects to your Sandbox or Developer Edition org (quick package install + OAuth — metadata only, never your data) and maps every dependency — fields, flows, triggers, validation rules, permissions — so you can understand what you're working with before you touch anything.

A few things it can do:

→ Ask in plain English: "What breaks if I delete Account.Customer_Tier__c?" and get a full impact analysis — which automations, page layouts, and apex classes reference it

→ Cross-org impact analysis: Connect multiple DEV orgs and see how a change in your workstream impacts another team's org — no more surprise conflicts when workstreams merge

→ Detect automation conflicts — when a Flow and an Apex Trigger both write to the same field, see the execution order and which value actually persists

→ Compare orgs — see exactly what differs between DEV, QA, and Production with severity ratings on every change

→ Map relationships and references better than Schema Builder or "Where is this used?"

Try it at getorgsage.com — just connect a sandbox and start exploring.

We're looking for developers and architects willing to try it and share honest feedback — what's useful, what's broken, and what's missing.

Built a new Object Explorer experience into Salesforce Metadata Navigator

to cut down the clicks it takes to inspect object setup.

You can jump into a specific object’s configuration from anywhere and browse it in a mini Salesforce-style Object Manager layout right inside the extension. Instead of bouncing through multiple Setup pages, you can quickly access:

Built a new Object Explorer experience into Salesforce Metadata Navigator to cut down the clicks it takes to inspect object setup.

  • Details
  • Fields & Relationships
  • Page Layouts
  • Lightning Record Pages
  • Buttons, Links, and Actions
  • Compact Layouts
  • Field Sets
  • Record Types
  • Search Layouts
  • Object and Field Access
  • Triggers
  • Validation Rules
  • and more

The goal was simple: reduce navigation time for admins and architects who spend too much time drilling through Setup just to find one object setting.

It gives you a faster way to inspect metadata, open the exact setup page you need, and move between object-level configurations without losing context.

If you work across multiple objects every day, this makes admin work feel much more direct and a lot less click-heavy.

So I decided to take the Salesforce career path test to see where my heart and head are at. Deep down, upon discussing this with an acquaintance, I was sure I wanted to be a Salesforce consultant. I'm not 100% sure of which way to go, but I am sure enjoying this journey of trying new things and doing Hard things. ALX has helped a lot toward this mindset. #Salesforce #SalesforceArchitect #Salesforcearchitects #Salesforceconsultants ALX

Hi, I'm Pietro and I've been 43 for a few weeks now. I've recently decided that I want and need to give my professional life a new twist. It was already clear that it would have something to do with project management, digitalisation and IT. But I'm here now and I'm looking forward to transforming my career with Salesforce. This is how I imagined the path to get there: Associate - AI Associate - Salesforce Administrator - Salesforce Administrato Advanced - Business Analyst.

What do you think? Is this a good career path?
