#Power of Us Application0 discussing

Hi all! (Me again..)

I am studying Grant Writing on the side and saw that Salesforce have a platform for tracking grants on the CRM. Once I am more accustomed to Salesforce I would like to learn more about this as it will help the non-profit org I am volunteering for.

The question I have is this: Is this part of the CRM free for non-profit organizations or is there a reduced rate for them? Who would I speak to, to get this kind of information?

    Hi @Laylah Yusuff

As @Piyusha Pilania mentioned, I'm based in the US (I spent the last 4 years in London and just moved home to the Bay Area recently!)

Salesforce has a program called The Power of Us Program (https://www.salesforce.org/power-of-us) that provides 10 free licenses to nonprofits and schools that qualify (it'll say "discounted" on the website but it's 10 free and then everything on top of 10 is at a discount cost).

On the overview page, click "see eligibility" and you'll be taken to an overview to see if you qualify: https://www.salesforce.org/wp-content/uploads/2023/03/p10-eligibility-guidelines-English-2023.pdf

Scroll down the UK section, it says:

    • As of the 1st of February 2018, the following are the documents required for the noted countries. This list is subject to update from time to time.
    • UNITED KINGDOM -- Charity Registration Number from Charity Commission, CIC Registration Number from CIC Regulator, Articles and Memorandum of Association

If you have any questions, please contact the Power of Us Application team, there is an EMEA specific person now processing the apps (the general email is Power of Us Desk <PowerOfUsDesk@salesforce.com> and for EMEA-specific there is PowerOfUsDeskEMEA@salesforce.com, I might recommend you contact both to play it safe!).

Phew sorry that was a lot, but hope that helps!

ps if you haven't already, take a look at our Nonprofit-specific groups here in the Trailblazer Community, there are thousands of other nonprofits in this program so this is a great place to connect, browse and join as you find relevant: https://trailhead.salesforce.com/trailblazer-community/groups?tab=featured&filter=Nonprofit+Cloud

Hi all, I recently successfully submitted for a trial org and am attempting to apply for a full org and when logging in, get the following message: Login authorization error: There was an unknown error. This service is limited to Salesforce.org customers only.

Has anyone ever experienced this?

To fix this issue, it seems you just need to click on Profile Icon/picture on the top right of your "salesforce" screen and, under OPTIONS at the bottom of the window that pops up, click on "Add Username." After that, follow the steps, and after signing back in, I now seem to be able to sign in and submit the Power of Us application.

Hello community! My name is Aidee Padilla and I work for Museo Interactivo Infantil, A.C., located in Mexico City we have applied recently to the 10 licenses included in the Power of Us Program, however we have not received any response, despite contacting the team. Does anyone have an idea of the average time to have a response? Is there any way to extend the trial time?

Thank you in advance for your time and answers.

The Error message reads: "The Salesforce account you have logged into is not a current trial organization. Only a trial organization can receive donated licenses."

It is a trial organization!

Hub Maintenance Update on April 26 from 3-5 PM PT

What is happening?

There will be maintenance happening on April 26 from 3 - 5 pm PST - the Hub will be read-only during this time. The Hub will go in read-only mode and you will not be able to make updates/save changes on April 26 starting at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET / 11 PM BST / 3:30 AM IST.

How long will this take place?

The estimated time of the outage/unavailability is 30 minutes, up to a max of 2 hours.

Will I be able to log into the Hub during this time?

Yes, you will be able to log in, but it will be in read-only mode and no edits/changes can be made.

What will this maintenance affect (aka made read-only for 2 hours)?

I have an organization that is fiscally sponsored under a parent organization that has either already used their P10 grant or would be unwilling to give it to the fiscal sponsee. Is there a protocol for how these small orgs can get in on the p10 npsp goodness? It seems like it's within the spirit of P10 (as I understand it) but I'm not sure about how it would work practically. the org is currently paying for a few licenses, but they do not have enough for their full staff. Since they only have 8 employees, I would love to provide each one with a license (for obvious reasons!).

(I did a prior search and it looks like this topic hasn't been addressed in the Hub yet!)

Nonprofit set itself up using Person Accounts. Plus complex custom objects. Still on Classic. Considering shifting to success pack to take advantage of its functionality. Is it feasible, and what gotchas, tips does anyone have other than be careful of the data.

Thanks - good tip. I may try a 2-step. First convert Person Accounts to Account and Contact and then install the npsp. It will be a slow and careful process and there is no assurance it will work.

The legal team in one of my clients is looking for the 'contract' that was established between Salesforce.org

and the client (Saxum International Foundation).

Is there such a document or is there any other paper trail that can confirm the legal relationship between Salesforce and my client?

Thanks

How do we know if our organization was approved for the NPSP Donation?

@K Alfaro if approved, you will receive an email from billing@salesforce.com about an "order confirmation" and it will detail your product order as Foundation Enterprise Edition Power of 10 Donation and the licenses detail. An account manager may reach out to you if they need additional documentation regarding your application.
