Admin Virtual Boot Camp, 7/12/21, Katrin

This is set up for communication for the Admin Virtual Bootcamp class that is running from 7/12/21 to 8/20/21.

Hi everyone,

 

Does anyone know how long the Webex recordings are accessible through the URLs?

I like to use the recordings as a study tool so I would like to have them available even after this class is over for review.

    I believe we have access to the boot camp account/materials about 6 months after the class is over. 

    I hope this helps.

Has anyone attended some sort of study session? I don't quite yet feel ready for the final exam and would love to participate in a session that can help me get there. Thx!

I passed the certification exam today!  I'm a certified Salesforce Administrator.  Thank you all for being such a great boot camp class.

    30 question quizzes are zero related to the way questions are structured on the practice and final exam. Good luck everyone!

Hi All, have many of you tried the 30 practice questions?  Have you taken the practice exam?  I would have passed, but wow I didn't feel certain of many of the answers.  Going to study more, but I found the exams very challenging.  Was just wondering what other thought. #Trailhead Challenges

    Hi @Stephen Karagan,

     

    I have a couple of mentees (friends) who are due to take their first admin exam in two months. We have tried the new 30 practice questions and personally from taking the actual exam, I think they are exactly as per the actual exam -- meaning the answer is very subtle and often times hidden. Don't forget that most questions appear as "what is the best method" or "what is the most efficient" etc so often times, you will have several -correct- answers (method wise) but only one actually answers the question.

Hi All, I'm stuck on the validation rules module. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm missing?

 

error is: Challenge not yet complete in Mom and Pop

We can't create a contact by itself (without an associated account). Make sure the validation rule applies ONLY when the contact has an associated account.

 

this is what i have

 

AND(    NOT(ISBLANK (  Account.Id  )),    ( Account.BillingPostalCode ) <> ( Account.ShippingPostalCode ))

    I cant find it, but I think it was the Validation Rules section and the challanege we had to do at the end? I will reread that one this week... Hope you are well!

I am having trouble with Create a Validation rule for Deliver_Schedule. I do not have a DeliverySchedule option. 

 

Need help with Create a Validation Rule.

    Hi Everyone. I solved the issue. I had to perform the challenge in a new Playground. Not sure why.

I am performing challenge in Trailhead for Lightning Experience Customization > Create and Customize List Views.

 

I have created list with name High Probability Opportunities.

However, I couldn't see stage & Probability options in filters. Also top filter shows filter by owner instead of show me.

 

Challenge: 

Create a Custom List View

Lance Park, one of Ursa Major Solar’s sales reps, wants to see a list of opportunities that are in the late stages of negotiation or have high probability to close, or both. Step into Lance’s shoes and make that happen.

  • Use the App Launcher to open the Sales app
  • Create an Opportunity list view:
    • List Name: High Probability Opportunities
    • List API Name: High_Probability_Opportunities
    • Who sees this list view: All users can see this list view
    • Show only opportunities whose stage is Proposal/Price Quote or Negotiation/Review and whose probability is greater than or equal to 50%

Hi All, I thought the 30 Question Practice Test was a one-shot deal, but it generates new questions each time you take it.  Not sure how large its dataset is, but very helpful tool.  Maybe the rest of you already knew this!
