not clear why an user with Partner Community license with Edit permission on a Lead record cannot change the Lead Owner (whatever is  User or Partner user selected as new Owner). Message is the one below:

Partner Community User with Edit permission cannot change Lead Owner

Any suggestion?

Thanks

 Hi,

We have a potential opportunity where we have a requirement, there is an existing portal that now needs to be hosted in the Salesforce Partner community. So, we need to transfer the data which is existing in the old portal to the Partner Community. Say like we have around 50GB of data that needs to be transferred into the salesforce partner community.

We know that we can leverage Data Loader for the uploading of data into Salesforce but we want to know if is there any readymade automation available that can be leveraged.

And what would you recommend us to utilize here?

We have data with different types of files( word, excel, ppt, zip folders), Videos(wmv, mov, mp4), and Images(jpg, png, eps) formats. So, are there any limitations that we need to be aware of or consider before we go ahead?

And we also would like to know that are there any limitations on the storage limit on how much data can be stored in the partner community.

We appreciate any suggestions and thank you in advance.

Dear all,

I have enabled partner portal and created partner users. I wanted to share Opportunities where the Partner account is the Opp primary account and i did it through Sharing sets. Now i want to share the Opp accounts with them. Any idea on how i can share the accounts of the Opportunity with the Partner Users.

Any help is highly appreciated.

Thank you

Saritha

@bhimu saritha - What are the criteria for sharing Accounts with partner users? Will they only need access to Accounts where they have an open Opportunity? Will they need access to Accounts when they do not have an open Opportunity?

We accidently deactivated partner community user and user lost his access. So we recreated the partner community user again and merge the contacts. I am completely new to partner community. Now user is not able to see all account and opps even though he was able to login with new partner account. What  steps we should follow before deactivating and merging? I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

As a salesperson – I want to view a prospect account (ex Company X) and want to know all of the partners related to my prospect (Accenture, Deloitte, etc) and some context related to those partnerships (Are they a Current customer, type of products, etc) in order to jointly drive value for our mutual prospects/customers.

We have strong strategic partners – they generally provide targeted lists of customer accounts to fuel the joint account motion.   We have meetings and work to identify the Icertis salespeople and partner folks to jointly go to market.

This isn’t very scalable or actionable.

Challenges-

Matching to our account list  (unique keys -DUNS number;

                Accenture global vs Accenture UK

Segmenting based on unique/joint attributes (partner type of customer – icertis type of prospect)

Activating joint motion between icertis and partner (did you call them yet?   Who does what next?)

Possible solution -

Custom Object - (Partner Accounts - modeled after account object)

Junction object from Custom Partner Accounts to Accounts Object - include date; products, other attributes.

Anybody done this before?  any appexchange or solutions that meet this need?
